Came here to check out the pedal, ended up buying it AND playing the video over because of all the beautiful sounds. Better than any "review" out there!
This demo is much more suited to the pedal than the blues and metal players playing with it. I think a lot of times those people turn people off from guitar.
Gorgeous pedal and GLORIOUS playing. Straightforward but infinitely more satisfying and melodically inventive than most others I seen showing off equipment here
I own this one, it's pretty unbelievable. Shelved the Neunaber Stereo Wet (which shelved the TC Electronics Hall Of Fame). Works well with any kind of music.
+Ryan Lutton I use it in a live setting with a certain group. It's huge, that's the appeal of it. The newer versions have a better ability to control parameters and switch reverbs, which is nice. The other setup that I use (different band) has a Polara on the board. I have found that the Neunaber is much more extreme without capabilities to cover the different types of reverbs that the Digitech can dish out. The Neunaber is more or less one type of reverb, but an outstanding one at that. So, all that said, the Polara works better (for me) at indoor gigs where in need just a pinch of underlying warmth, and the Neunaber works better for outdoor venues when I need to fill up more vibe without intrusion.
Ryan Lutton Yeah I've been eyeing this one for a while now. May pull the trigger soon. That Halo setting is quite unique and not as intrusive as other similar ones. Thx again!
Very good review. Your reviews are the best demos for a buying decisions. I own 2 lexicon rack units. I immediately recognized the lexicon sound. I love it.
This a one of the best review I've ever seen. Thanks a lot, this helped me decide between the Ocean 11 and the Polara! I'll go with the Polara, the halo mode is just what I was looking for, and I prefer it to the Shimmer mode from Ehx 😁
great demo man. I was having trouble deciding between this and the mxr reverb. your vs video between the two and now watching this has helped me decide. thanks a bunch for the great demos.
Sounds great! It this pedal go to 100% decay (non-stop), for like doing swells, etc?? I like the Halo but dont know how is it on long decays. Just considering one of this pedals
Great video/demo. I have this pedal as well as the earthquaker devices Avalanche Run v2. I much prefer the Polara. The Avalanche Run is good for ambient guitar playing (it has a “synthesizer” quality to it) but, the digitech, is just a well built, easy to understand, great sounding reverb pedal.
My favourite plate reverb, hands down. It's my always-on reverb set to a short decay that fills out the space and sounds 100% natural. It responds wonderfully to my playing dynamics, dirt pedals, amp breakup, everything I could ask for. I was hoping to replace a few pedals with a Line 6 HX Stomp, but A/B'd them and realized just how good the Polara really is. It's not going anywhere!
best review of this pedal i’ve watched !! so helpful and simple. i was deciding between this pedal and the oceans 11 reverb but this video made me decide on this one. so excited to use it! thank you 💞
charlie yes it came a couple weeks ago! it’s really good and the only flaw i found was that it only runs off a power supply, you can’t use batteries. but buying a power supply is a lot better than constantly having to use batteries and buy them n switch them out etc
thanks for your demos! Im in need of a Hall/Room reverb that can go 100% wet and that doesnt retain the original attack of the note (=very soft start) can you please recommend one?
Hey! I was waiting for this. And now please do a thorough comparison between this and the new MXR Reverb M300. That would help me and many others with their purchase decisions.
honestly.. I struggle to pick a favourite tone wise.. I'm going to put the Neunaber Immerse on my board.. because it resonated with me and I also think it has more possibilities.. but thats not anything against the MXR its amazing.. Im filming a few more comparisons today.. ill be sure to do an in depth one between those two pedals! thanks!
I've heard nothing but good things about the mono and stereo wet pedals! My friend Nathan uses a wet stereo I believe! be sure to check him out :) ua-cam.com/users/pedalnerds I cant wait to try one! also the MXR vs the immerse video will be out tomorrow! thanks for requesting it!
Ryan Lutton... Well its also hard to find good reviews of it.. the only one I found shows a incredibly lush reverb... there's a guy selling one here in my town... if I buy it, I'll make a review! :)
I think its a great pedal! it has a very dark tone when you roll of the liveliness.. and the tone is nice in general.. my only criticism is the decay time is not as long as i'd like, and some of the other pedals in the description have that but most are more expensive.. would you like to see this compared with a pedal in the description? thanks for commenting! :)
what you are describing is called "pre-delay" which controls how fast the reverb pedal will react to your playing.. the Polara doesn't have pre-delay function.. to quote the manual "The Liveliness knob controls the amount of high frequency response in the reverb's effect signal." Hope this helps!

Whenever I'm searching for pedal demonstrations, I look for your channel first. Thanks for what you do.
Best pedal reviewer hands down
Thanks man :)

oh really? what did you think of the Stereo Wet? I'm hearing a lot of mixed things!

Excellent review, very easy to assimilate the simulations of the pedal, tks!!!!
This is a nice sounding reverb that is in my short list. Thanks for confirming my expectations about it.
Cheers!
no problem man! :)
This is hands down the best and most helpful review of this pedal. Great playing too. Very informative. Thanks for the upload. I sub'd because of this
glad you found the demo helpful! Thanks for the sub :)

It sounds so good man! I just bought one, thanks for the review, it was really helpful!
Superb! I had this pedal, sold it, and now thanks to this video I’m getting it again.
great demo man. I was having trouble deciding between this and the mxr reverb. your vs video between the two and now watching this has helped me decide. thanks a bunch for the great demos.
Happy to help :) which one have you decided on?
You do some of the best demo videos.
I'll probably buy this one as well to add to my growing collection of reverb effects!
Sounds great! It this pedal go to 100% decay (non-stop), for like doing swells, etc?? I like the Halo but dont know how is it on long decays. Just considering one of this pedals

Although I have a Twin Reverb I like to use the Polara as a reverb boost

which type of reverb works better for distorted sound?

Ryan Lutton Thanks heaps man. You are a legend!

Very kool, i will be buying this pedal
Bought it, thanks for the demo.
excellent demo thanks so much see you
Howdy Ryan you have reviewed a few nice reverb pedals.which is your personal fav?
I like them all for different things.. but the BigSky is definitely the one that will inspire me every time I turn it on :)
Hey Ryan! Looking for some options of reverb pedals and I saw a AMT Reverberry. Have you ever had the opportunity to play on it?
I have not.. I don't think they are selling over here in England? if they are I haven't seen any haha looks like a cool pedal though :)
Ryan Lutton... Well its also hard to find good reviews of it.. the only one I found shows a incredibly lush reverb... there's a guy selling one here in my town... if I buy it, I'll make a review! :)
let me know if you make a review of it :)
Any idea how it compares to the Digitech Supernatural?
By far the best demo of this pedal. Well done. Just bought it thanks to you. 😐
What is the pedal you're using in the outro??the sound and your playing is awesome
Thanks! the pedal is the Neunaber Immerse MK1 :) you can watch the demo here - ua-cam.com/video/Iix2JxCgRzc/v-deo.html

Finally you get it! what is your opinion of this reverb? and how you compare it with the others in the descrpition?

+Ryan Lutton hey Ryan . Thanks for the video :) Would you mind comparing the Polara with the Boss RV-6 ? Sorry for the trouble
thierry berno no trouble at all! i'll film it asap :) thank you
+Ryan Lutton Man you're the best
Beautiful
Is this one better than the Holy Grail?
This or the ocean's 11?
Sandro Sadhukhan i think this one is better ! i’ve been doing my research and i’m set on this one now
this one's stereo... great for recording!
Which one u buy? I also torn between this two
Is that modulated a chorus?
Reverse sounds evil!
good review!
thanks :)
Sounds good, just wish there was a way to buy a version without that tacky drawing on it...
Do you used a amp simulator for this?
Or only the pedal in line?
yes I use the Waves GTR3 stuff :)
Tks sir
no worries :)
The liveliness knob does not control the tone . It controls the atack of the efect ( how present the efect is the moment you play the note )
what you are describing is called "pre-delay" which controls how fast the reverb pedal will react to your playing.. the Polara doesn't have pre-delay function.. to quote the manual "The Liveliness knob controls the amount of high frequency response in the reverb's effect signal." Hope this helps!
Could I use this pedal to mimic a delay sound if I turn up the decay knob all the way?
I find some of the coolest mock delays is to follow verb with a tremolo pedal... I just bought this and anticipating trem after the halo setting.
