The Firefly Class Ship Series 1 through 4 (Firefly)

The Firefly-class transport ship is a series of Multipurpose, Mid-Bulk Transport boats designed by Allied Spacecraft Corporation. The hulls and engines are constructed at ASC's shipyard at New Burbank, Osiris, with final outfitting being outsourced to a dozen smaller companies, including the newly formed Firefly Ship Works on Hera.
All Fireflys feature a large rear engine module, wing-mounted engines capable of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL), a centralized cargo section, and raised forward section holding the crew quarters and bridge.

The Firefly series 03 was a perfect craft for what Captain Mal Reynolds needed. Due to maintenance problems, a top-flight engineer is required, ala Kaylee.

I always loved this ship. I wish Startrek (TNG & DS9) had ships of this class instead of just enormous starships or tiny shuttles.

Totally, you know there would have to be tones of smaller cargo ships. Siskos lady had a smaller cargo ship

@@OmegaSerenity Absolutely, Cassidy Yates ship was a smaller cargo vessel (similar to Serenity). But still, I would have liked to have seen some intermediate federation vessels bigger than a runabout. But smaller than the Defiant. Something about the size of the Firefly class in Startrek.
