One of three Air Max 1 releases scheduled for Air Max Day, the Air Max 1 “Blueprint” takes a bit of a literal approach to the design concept by adding a variety of details that lay out the origin of the iconic sneaker. Designed by Tinker Hatfield and officially releasing in 1987, the Air Max 1 has served as the foundation of Nike Sportswear’s Air Max legacy and is often viewed as the “it” shoe for collectors that started the global craze in the early 2000s. The Air Max 1 “Blueprint” sees its concept reflected in a blue colorway, with suede uppers paired up with white and sail for an attractive mix of colors. Grid patterns, common in architectural blueprints, are spotted on the Swoosh and tongue logo. A spec breakdown of the Air Max 1 appears on the insole, with the build layers stacked on top of the state of Oregon (where the Nike World Headquarters resides), then the United States, then the globe. Our favorite detail lands on the heel, where the classic Nike Air sits above a debossed planet Earth. The Nike Air Max 1 “Blueprint” will release on Air Max Day 2022 (March 26th, 2022) exclusively in North America.

I just picked up a pair of these. Was already feeling them because they're blue, but all of the subtle details and the glow on them really sent them over the top for me.

I’m thinking it’s maybe cuz they’re subtle. They’re not too wild so it’s not really divisive. It’s a solid simple shoe. So I can see pretty much anyone finding a way to wear them

90% of people thinking this is fire just shows how wearable the sneaker is. IMO the AM Concepts heavy are much harder than these but people just dont know how to rock them
5he heavy ones are hard material wise and just uniqueness mixed with a good shape. But this air max day north america is really clean imo. And as far as AM1 clean is nicer imo.

I just feel like the Heavy are more original, but as you said they are not really aiming for "clean" so that's probably why the preferences would differ.

This one is actually based on the Air Max 1 'Pale Blue' from 2003. Had that pair, what a time that was... Look it up ;)!
