Nike Air Max 1 Concepts Heavy
To celebrate 35 years of a sneaker icon, we we drop our second Air Max 1 in festival fashion. In August of 1969, almost half a million festival goers made a trip to Bethel, NY and sent a message to the universe. They were dressed in the eclectic fashions of the time: faded denim, surplus fatigues (including M-65s and tiger camo), corduroy, and decorated with peaceful protest motifs. Jackets carried fringes, hair was decorated with flowers. The event concluded as a lasting symbol of ’60s counterculture.
With the Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 SP “Heavy,” we link the legacy of that August weekend to a lineage of radical youth expression. While the material mix is similar to the “Mellow,” its heavier. We’ve got denim, tiger camo and leather, and these three materials juxtapose with the softness of wide wale corduroy at the collar. The “Heavy” also includes patterned elements of bandanna, cowhide, and woven material panels. The former, a Concepts-exclusive, approximates the famous guitar straps employed by festival performers.

- Bandana Style: Classic paisley bandana print delivers a bold, vintage statement while the custom Swoosh bandana print lets you rep your brand.
- Summer of Love Details: Denim details, guitar pick hangtag and loose thread embroidery return you to the Summer of Love.
- Floral Swoosh for a bohemian twist while the 'mud' speckled midsole (inspired by concerts in parks) puts a free-spirited finish on every step.
- Visible Air cushioning adds a level of comfort originally designed for performance runners.

The bottom of the shoe the tan mid sole represented dirt from the farm And the all over materials is what the Is wore doing Woodstock

Great video brother! The brown speckle represents mud on shoes from Woodstock. It is a guitar pic, not a fiddle. The 3 symbols were found on the 3 day passes for Woodstock tickets. I copped the Heavy's as well, but I do like all of them! The Heavy's just hit harder in my opinion! Keep up the great content brother!

I had to cop all 3 resell but I was lucky a good seller on EBay was selling the mellows and heavy 8.5 as a pack for $425 and the far out I bid on EBay and won for $5 over retail, best week.

You have the lightest denim I have seen on the toebox on any pair. The darkness of the denim on most pairs have put me off these. I actually like the far outs most. That resale though 😭

They was looking for a vineyard for Woodstock and a farmer offered his land to have the vineyard this is where the cow for comes in to play The other materials is what they wore during Woodstock . the tan midsole represents to dirt from the farm. The Mello has mud midsole, after a huge rainstorm

The speckles on the lower part of the sole represents the mud/dirt on your shoe if you would have attended the Woodstock Festival in 69'. The cow is for the live stock that were there being that it took place on a farm...they kicked it with cows! Anyway...google it my dude. Salute
