Hello everyone, I see on the Dji forum that Dji will launch a new lens for use in FOV BOOST LENS MODE. According to sources, this will be launched on November 12. Not intended to mislead anyone with this video. I just thought it was strange to launch an update before the product is out. Stay safe and have fun😀
@limkecarels3506 yes, we will see how it actually is when I got the lens. I didn't know this before I posted the video. But I hope you still enjoy it😀. Thanks for watching 👍
Very strange...it's like their marketing team is playing Chinese Checkers. I'm not personally interested in a wider lens. I just use them for vlogging in and around water or wet weather.
Guess what Espen? I had to visit your channel because the algorithm has decided not to share you with me! The struggle is real. Maybe it knows that I'm spending more time using my equipment then watching videos of others using the equipment and talking about it? Keep at it dude. At the moment I have my hands full editing stuff film using a lot of the cameras that you offer so much information on!
Nice to see a comment from you Chuck, the algorithm is weird and not always on our side. Presumably you look more at travel content, that could be the reason. But if it shows that you have pressed the bell, then my content will come. I understand your frustration and it is irritating that quality is not pushed more on UA-cam. A lot of bad content that is popular, the reason is probably that viewers on UA-cam are relatively young. Have a nice day😀
I don’t want to say you what to record because you are the creator here but I wish to see low light performance after new firmware update in the specific dark conditions. Early evening and just in the night. Thank you for your job and your creativity 😊
I think that is great update DJI. It looks really good. Boost lens looks better than ultra wide. Night mode is improved. Please testing the night mode in the darkness scenery. Greetings Espen 😊
Hi Rafal, yes it is straight from camera. But in Davinci I use a inbuild plugin for normalize audio to youtube. The audio is good😀. Have a wonderful day👍
It should be interesting to see a comparison amid Supernight Action 5 Pro old firmware, latest firmware and Insta 360 Ace Pro 2 Pure Video recorded in dark night time
I believe you are trying to use the FOV boost without the FOV Lens Accessory, I just confirmed with DJI the lens is not for sale until Nov 12, I bet the FOV will not be nearly as distorted if you use the actual Lens that feature was built for.
Please do supernight before and after, without it's hard to judge improvements because supernight may be good in one situation and not in other. Without comparison in same situation, there's no conclusion that can be drawn in terms of improvements.
Man, that FOV Boost makes the extreme corners wobble badly and shows bad chromatic aberrations. I always use Standard (Dewarp), so it won't bother me! I'd like to see what it looks like in an urban setting, with buildings instead of trees and foliage. Super Night Mode looks much better, though. If they want to give a wider FOV, don't do it in software, do it with a screw on ultra wide angle lens option. BTW, at age 61, I walk 10km daily here in the Philippines. I'm not going to run it in 32 degrees C heat! 😂
The FOV Boost mode has been added because a new lens wider lens is coming. People buy action cameras to use them for action and the wider the more immersive the action looks, no point in using Standard (Dewarp) if you're doing action, you're likely to get the same result with a latest gen phone. Just my 2 cents.
Yeah, the FOV boost ruinst the corners. It might be OK for FPV drones, motorbikes but definitely not for running (too much motion there and the RocksSteady is not able to handle it properly). I like the camera as well, mostly because of battery life. Gives me confidence that my run will be recorded.
The lens mod is due on 12/11 according to a DJI source so testing without the lens is a bit pointless given fov boost should only be set to on when attached. Early release fw will likely be updated the same day this 330 is stated as early gray release by DJI source.
@EspenJohan Other fixes are in the fw so likely trying to get those out pre len release. DJI are taking onboard a huge amount of feedback via the forum & trying to address issues as early as possible, that's no bad thing.
@QuicknStraight yes stated in the fw notes lens needs to be attached for fov boost. We shall see if the date holds true but the source is a DJI dev so no reason to disbelieve.
I have osmo pocket 3 and i want to buy 1 more action camera. But... Every time when DJI release next firmware for OA5 i am more and more disappointed. There is so much distortion and micro vibration that i can't justify. I need complimentary action camera for my osmo pocket 3 and i am not satisfied with quality out of Action5.
I understand, but dji has never let me down. They will improve it, im sure. But you also have good alternativ. Like Ace pro or dji action 4. But I do still think action 5 pro is the best.
This whole boost makes no sense when you initiate the boost the bit rate on all of your Settings returns to standard! I had to go through all of my presets and set to high bit rate again. The quality of the video is horrible. Are we missing something here? Are they going to roll out some sort of lens attachment? Look at the edges they’re like jelly.
Which one of the 3 newest cameras do u prefer, OA5 Insta ace pro 2 Go pro 13 Pls give me some advice. Still can't decide which one to buy between all 3 of them.
I really don't love the UA-camrs, that out of breath talking to me while walking, and always sound like a horse, shortly before dying. Why you all think you should walk while talking?
Normally I don't comment on those that are just negative. Here I am out running and then I get heavy breathing. Why watch if you have nothing good to say. Does it feel good to answer as you do. I don't have a problem if someone doesn't like my videos, but try to look at things positively. Trust me you will feel better.
@@EspenJohan I don't need a UA-camr to give me philosophical advice for my life. I've got it all under control. Apart from that, instead of feeling attacked, you could have considered whether my criticism was true. I could name you 30 videos from the last few weeks that I've seen where UA-camrs are constantly panting as they run through landscapes to explain a camera to me. If you want to do that without panting, then go to the gym regularly. Then it will work. But why? Then there are also those who think, and they stop when they want to explain something or do a voiceover over the corridors. That sounds much more understandable and nicer for the user. But if you're not open to criticism and think you have to insult your viewers, just keep going. I don't need your channel anyway. I only came across it because you were one of the first to cover the new firmware. I also think that people who go public with their videos have to expect that not all comments will be full of praise. That would mean that you wouldn't make any mistakes. And I have never met such people.
@@rafalmoravlog That's always the killer argument from people who don't think. How am I supposed to know that something about the video bothers me if I don't watch it? You smart aleck. Besides, I'm not going to let guys like you tell me what I should or shouldn't watch. Mind your own business. To speak to you: You don't have to read my comment!!

@TimBrownTown yeah it's strange.

Great video, the new boost lens may be the deciding factor in my new camera purchase.
The boost lens would be fun to test 👍

Looks good for biking and pov!
It will be, you need a boost lens to use it. I did not know that before I posted the video😂. Thanks for watching my friend👍
That boost mode would suit a fixed camera position better, say if it was mounted on a vehicle or something.
yeah your right
Yeah, a new lens mode should be released november 12
Thank you the video and info ab the fw update, much appreciated 😊
👍 a new lens should be out november 12

that's what I was thinking as well. I don't think people understand how this feature is supposed to work
Thats a good point, have you seen any information about it. I cant find anything. And why give it, if it's not for sale
Lens is not released yet.
It says on update attach Osmo Action FOV boost lens before enabling this feature

Super night mode you should test at night in city , only then you can compare with the Ace Pro 2

love the new update.

2.6. vs 2.8 aperture....ace will win
my action5 pro is getting very hot after recording (4k/60fps)
tips tricks how to solve this? cause I thought this was only a issue from GoPro?!
The reason good be high bitrate and little airflow. Shot be just fine👍
