I’ve been optimistic about Waymo for years and have invested a lot into Alphabet. I’m glad that they’ve been taking their time and prioritizing safety.
This was a great interview. Interesting she was willing to answer every question except for Jason's question on cost. It's the biggest weakness to their business model. I have to think they have a good plan because Alphabet wouldn't have committed another 5 billion if they didn't, but we'd all like to know what that plan is exactly.
Uber is a despatch service, it will survive and even thrive as anyone can rent out their cars for those who choose not to own one or not near one they own. She was not prepared to answer the question, AirBnB for cars, same thing
