    Lilio, idk how you do it but this is the cleanest video I have ever seen on UA-cam, no fuzzy image or blockiness just a clean sharp video, it almost looks like the original source file and I'm watching on a 1440p display, thank you for the advice and tips I've had enough of my videos looking like Minecraft although Minecraft itself is fine just not for real-world video.

    Soooo freaking bit rates "budgets". Daaayumn. I just tried. Upscaled 1080p to 4K and stayed within the bit rate budget. Finally got relatively good quality youtube video (it's private, because it was only test) and not a garbage youtube compression. Thanks Lilio. Much appreciated.

      @@LilioCamere it's me again I want to ask you something... what happens if I aim to 4K/60 bit rate budget (66-85 Mbps) but I render at 50 Mbps (keeping the same as my raw footage, which is Nvidia Highlights and its maxed at 50 Mbps). Is it ruining all the budget placement? Should I render at above 66 Mbps to place me at that tier?

    • @LilioCamere
      @LilioCamere  4 роки тому +1

      AGEMO hi there! So rendering out at the highest quality doesn’t hurt.
      Are you reviewing through NVIDIA shadow play? If so, on what GPU?

    • @Michael.Virtus
      @Michael.Virtus 4 роки тому +1

      @@LilioCamere Yeah I record through Nvidia Shadowplay but I use only Nvidia Highlights, which is automatically detecting kills in supported games so it saves a short video file for that kill only, so after that I just merge them all and not bother with editing and cutting from a big footage.
      I have GTX 1080Ti. I use a program/software called "VideoProc" because it's ultra light and it supports GPU rendering (I was using other software before but with CPU only rendering it was taking too much time to render). I know big serious softwares support GPU rendering, but I was looking for something light, because the functionalities of the big programs are way too complex for me.
      So I can stay at 50 Mbps for 4K/60 (66-85 Mbps). Nice. I am with 1440p/144hz monitor, but I set Nvidia to record at 1080p/60 because it's lighter on the performance and the files size. So because of your great video guide here I now upscale to 4K/60 and as you said because of the bit rate budget youtube is not butchering it so much after that with their compression. Now the last question is what about rendering 50 Mbps raw footage to 70 Mbps (to enter youtube's 4K/60 bit rate? Is it going to work well? Or there is no point to do it since I will be still in the same bit rate budget anyway?

    • @LilioCamere
      @LilioCamere  4 роки тому +1

      @@Michael.Virtus Hi! There still is a point to increasing the bit rate. Remeber that as you upscale, you are using more of that information for the pixels, as you're multiplying them by four to go from 1080P to 4K. You won't need 4x the bit-rate, but giving yourself a bit of headroom is always a good idea!

    Please answer this for me; The video codec issue with uploading videos is making me nuts. The AVC1, by default, apparently, is what many complain about regarding UA-cam videos that they post, including myself. So I see that choppy video from my PC. Now, watching the same video, as I would, but on my Galaxy S23, it looks as it should on there, provided I make sure that I go into : Settings; Advanced, then go down the list to 1080P. That's all I have to do to make it look fine on there. But No matter what I do on the PC, it looks crappy. Is there a different codec or something that UA-cam requires and sets, depending on what you watch a video on? Is it my computer? The computer is about 10 years old, but it's a DELL Inspiron 7559, 64 bit, Intel i7. It should have more than enough power and resources, although seems to struggle with UA-cam videos that are 1080p or higher lately. Didn't used to be. What could be the issue here?

    Everyone says vp9 looks better than avc1 but from my experience vp9 darkens and raises the contrast of the footage while keeping more details. I think its best to keep footage at 1080p 60fps and render in prores (4k in prores uses too much data anyway). Brings the overall best results in my testings.
    What is your preferred render setting for 1080p 60fps recordings ?

      Actuallyjune you have to do it when you go to render your video in your editor, not on UA-cam.

    This is too complex for me. I just want to know why poker streams look like shit. They say it's my YT setting. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to do this setting. You can only set playbacks? WTF are they talking about?

    7:58 Man, the comparisons you did here are the worst comparisons in the history of comparisons! If you want to compare video resolution you have show the same video with the different resolutions. DO NOT SHOW A PORTION OF THE VIDEO WITH ONE RESOLUTION AND ANOTHER DIFFERENT PORTION WITH ANOTHER RESOLUTION. NEVER DO THIS!
