if you program it to do something different, thats how you silence your phone
My question is, what’s happened to the ‘Screen Mirroring’ in the control centre?
it's still there, it's just a small icon now
it's the one on the very bottom right in this guy's phone

the button can get programmed to do other stuff so if its programmed to open the camera or something, thats how youd silence your phne
Removed apple display
What we literally need is a physical switch for the both camera to physically disconnect it to the system for privacy.
dont buy an iphone if that is what you want
bad design you can't do this subtly in your pocket when you need to make sure it's on like at cinema/meeting/conversation
You can still just press the button. The action button has a selectable function, for which you press and hold for.
