You are an amazing teacher! I've watched so many, but you are the easiest to follow and its great to watch your mistakes and thought process. Thank you ❤
What a beautiful fabric/blouse! Nothing happier than a pink paisley! Looks wonderful on you too! Your hen is a looker too! Thank you for taking us along! You are appreciated! ❤
Very nice!! I love the sleeves and I love that you did not do the back neck opening. It definitely was not needed. Your tips and tricks are invaluable bits of information. This is a top I really would like to make. I love your 'settin hen'. She wants to be a 'mom'. Brings back memories. My Mom used to slip a couple of duck eggs into the nest and we would end up with ducklings and chicks. I love it. Those were wonderful times.
I was making a shirt and the sleeves ended up being too tight on my upper arm. I put it aside to think on and your video for the grey dress you recently did came out. I paid close attention to the changes you made to the sleeves and followed your instructions. Oh my god, it came out perfectly!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. I have also picked up some of the supplies you like to use and have been very happy!
Really like how you simplified the process. Also like how you easily created more hip room. You have inspired me to look through my 70's patterns. I'm sure I have a couple which are similar. I'm always wearing T-shirts these days and some easily constructed and comfortable blouses could be a nice change.
I’m lovin this channel. I’ve sewed for my entire life, even as a child. I even worked in the Leslie Fay Fashions back in the day. And still I learn something every time I watch. Marie, you Rock!
Cute top! I love your wonderfully detailed tutorials. I've learned so much. I would also like to know how to find the straight of grain on knits. I have plans to make some baseball t-shirts for my grandson out of plain colored knits and finding the straight of grain seems impossible to eyeball.
Fantastic top, thank you for the tutorial. I see you like to wear your sleeves pulled up some, me too, would it be too baggy in the wrist if you measured the forearm instead of your wrist for the elastic measurement? BtW, I really like your choice of fabric, so spring-e 😊
Love, Love this top ! The fabric is so fun and the style is so cute! That pink color is so on trend for this spring! Did you buy it recently? If so, may I ask where? You always make everything look so simple!! Thanks for sharing all your tips and tricks!😊
Love the top and again the fabric. Question: hHow do you insure knit fabric is straight when folded over to cut a bodice piece? I'm making long sleeve t-shirts for my elderly mom, out of meter of beautiful flower t-shirt cotton knit that I bought by the kg. BUT i feel I'm wasting alot because after cutting due to it not being straight. Sunny hugs, Andrea from South Africa
@@mybucoliclife I did and found that because the print of lines and flowers were not straight. This is probably why it was very very cheap. It did work out in the end and my tops are all being well worn, by me and my mom🥰. Thanks Marie

I really enjoyed watching you make that pretty top, Marie! Thank you! 😀
Your demonstration of altering the sleeve is extremely helpful! I have this pattern and I'm about to give it a go!
Cute top and loved how you took the bull by the horns with the pattern. I did not know you had another channel, don’t be shy promoting it.
Thank you so much!
Such a cute, colorful 70’s top. It looks so nice on you. Also, like seeing the old, restored sewing machines in action. 🧵🪡❤️
Love the top. I think a fabric expedition would be fun.
Such pretty fabric! It’s made a very cheerful & comfortable top. Thanks for sharing your project.
That is totally YOU, Marie! Looks fab 😊
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
That top looks great on you!
Sweet! I made almost the same 'hippie' blouses in the 70's. Now, I want more!
I have that blouse pattern as well , thanks for the share ❤🌹😊

Thank you. Those Benny hens definitely love to set. Such good little moms.
Very cute! You can't have too many cute, comfortable cotton tops!
I love it! You are such an inspiration. The print is just right.
Your top is so pretty on you and it was so much fun watching you sew. 💞
Such a cute spring blouse. Love the sleeves.
Looks good. Very straight forward pattern. Nice job. I needed to know how to sew the yoke.

@@mybucoliclife i was so afraid to start cutting but then thought, well I’m not going to wear it so I might as well start!
Such a cute cool spring top. I have been sewing for a long time but I sure appreciate all of the helpful tips you share on your videos!🤗

Beautiful top😊

I think measuring from the selvage edge to the grain line at the top and bottom of the piece is about the easiest way for me. I hope that makes sense.
So pretty!
Love it! x

I think measuring the forearm would be fine. Thanks! 😊
Nice fabric. You said you had to get some. Where do you buy your colorful fabric. I love a square neckline. Great job as usual.
Mostly the Joann Clearance Aisle :)

The fabric is from jo-ann's. It's one of their calicos, and I just saw that it's on sale for $3.99 right now.
@@mybucoliclife Thanks for the info. I’m headed to Joann’s on Saturday so hopefully I can find it.
Love the top and again the fabric.

Hi Andrea! Have you tried making sure the fold is the same measurement from the selvage edge at the top and bottom of the pattern piece? Good luck!

Marie at time stamp. 14:13, what is that you are using to punch a triangle?
That is my leather screw type hole punch. I have a link below in the description on the Amazon list. Very handy things
@@mybucoliclife You are on the ball!
You called it a "hippie" blouse. If that is not a '70's fabric color and design, I don't know what is......
You are so right about the fabric. I thought the same thing when I saw it. 😂
And it makes me happy 😁😊
@@mybucoliclife it reminds me of Spirograph patterns. Its gorgeous. ❤
We love all your works and this video is one of our top faves! We want to collab with you? Let us know if you are interested? 😃
I'm not really interested now thank you
