My son and I love to watch your videos every weekend. He, and I do too, loves the Massey stuff. As we run 6 Massey's ourselves. Including 165 and 1105 and some newer ones as well. Keep up the good work. We appreciate you 🌞
From Denmark, When I was a young man in 1972, I was on a farm for 4 years. We drive with a new MF 165, an MF 35, MF 178. We also had a Danish built Tractor a BUKH 403, a 40Hk with 3 Cylinder, a fantastic tractor. It has been many years since Denmark stopped building tractors, we were too small. But there were quite a lot of the BUCK 302/403 and 452 in Denmark in the 1960s and 1970s. And our combine was an MF 87 8ft. One of the most stable combines I knew, never any problems and it harvested 70 hectares = 173 Acres every year.
Nice fab, & idea on the oil fill tube, & as usual great content, & never a dull moment. Some some guys would have given up, & start pounding sand😒😪. Remain calm, & tractor on.
Great video. So happy to see you aren't drinking Bud lite. Keep up the great work and know that you are making an old man (81) happy. I love this stuff but would hate to be doing it myself.
Love your videos I grew up in a Massey family. Over the years Dad had a 65,165.1100,1105,1130.1150 and a 2775.The first combine I remember was a 300,no cab. He then had a 410 and then a 750. My favorite of all was by far the 1150. Keep up the awesome videos and get a Massey combine!
I had to do the same job on my 1805 about 20 years ago. I also had belts hanging for the hydraulic pumps but I have never had to change one in the almost 30 years I have owned it.
gotta love the smoke show of a true vintage muffler articulating tractors are so fun ,spent a summer on a family farm in Saskatchewan with a JD 8630 . far cry from our Ontario row crop tractors of the time
I sure am enjoying watching you getting that old girl back running again! the old saying is nothing ventured, nothing gained You will get it running right and can't wait to see you fixing it up and cleaned up then working in the field.
I wish I had half of your ambition JT! Every time I crawl up into that space between the engine and the transmission I either am missing a tool I need or I gotta take a pizz! Bad enough crawling in there wearing jeans and a T shirt much less all that winter gear!
under the dash and under the tractor, wondering how they did it at the factory: well they had a team of 6. one guy, JT under the dash in a precarious position, 3 standing watching, and 2 out sick! gotta love jobs where you need a helper but they are just in the way! I bought a set of thin angle wrenches and they help, sometimes...often it's regular wrench 1 degree, angle wrench side 1, 1 degree; angle wrench end 2, half degree; flip regular wrench quarter degree; REPEAT; drop wrench! careful with the back, they don't heal and it's the silliest way that you hurt it.
Thanks for posting this. I enjoyed following along with your progress on the rehab. My recollection is that steering was very responsive on the 1800s, even more so than on the 1805s, but that may have had them juiced because we were running extra-wide flotation tires so that we could work in the rice fields. It is really nice to see the old girl run, even a little.
I think I’ve seen that myself somewhere. The flow divider is a little different between the two, maybe that contributes to that. I think the cylinder is shot on this one causing my problems.
Hey Joe,,nicely done, as always. Couple things,,was getting concerned about all the smoke, but looks like it cleaned up ok. Second,,,gunslinger is gonna demand a shootout,,lol.
