I love how alex is clearly such a fan as well, and by the way I think we all wanted to see you try the same weight as devon did here, just to compare the strenghts on that specific movement.

I wish Devon paired his arm wrestling specific training with body building like all of these young guys. I think his ceiling would be insane.
EXACTLY...... Devon and any great arm wrestler MUST do exactly what these 2 guys are going..... However the BEST success will be with ALSO maximum muscle and strength added to arm wrestling specific lifts.......Can you imagine if Devon would have added 10 percent more muscle mass over his career?.That would have been about 20 pounds more muscle?..... Maybe even 20 percent more muscle mass to his body??.... 25 more muscle mass pounds?.......All achievable over the last 20 yrs of his career only if he understood and devoted time to bench pressing, shoulder pressing, squatting, heavy curls, heavy rows....with a minimum of added testosterone???........Wow if only he understood this....... To late now though..... He is who he is and has done well for himself....One of the best ever.
Is Alex about to become Devons padawan? Devon handing over all this knowledge to this young elite monster. If anyone is capable of having the same size and strength of Levan one day is Alex, Devon might see this aswell. Basically becoming his undercover coach. Alex is younger than Levan and the genetics of Alex is all there to be enough one day and beat the champ. I could picture it one day✌

I really do believe this is what will set you apart from most other armwrestlers buddy and turn you into something really special, the fact that you ask all the right questions from ppl like devon is so cool👍 and what I noticed is you picked up on the really small things that can make a big difference when you combine it with what you already know and what you learn from others, I think your going to be an absolute force (more than you already are) and I for 1 am backing you for the top⚡⚡⚡💪💪💪without question. I think people should train most of their body as well if they want to reach their absolute peak potential. Combine both general strength with sport-specific strength to reach that pinnacle... but everyone tends to compress their training as they get older, it's a natural urge to do less. I'm guilty of it myself, it's hard to get the motivation to bust your ass on big compound exercises decade after decade
Neglecting biceps and forearms made him injured. If he got 50% stronger than he is, he would have been more complete. Especially in hook he gets pretty toyed by most of the elites nowadays

After your loss to Levan you might need to rethink the simplicity of your training. I love your philosophy on training, I'm sure gaining a little more overall strength wouldn't hurt you

I know Devon is a legendary arm wrestler, But I think his current training style is far from optimum.

I don't know why Devon doesn't train his arm as much anymore. I get that he's a kings mover but there's literally no detriment to being stronger so why wouldn't you train it? A win is a win but if you can keep your angles titles, you have more options. I think beginners or even elites for that matter, shouldn't listen to his advice. I wouldn't want to see Alex take this stuff at face value and stop training compound movements and biceps/brach.
