Loving my 2022 Explorer ST Line, honestly the 2.3l is a good engine with plenty of power. The guys at the dealership were saying hey maybe you want the ST so it would be as quick as your ecoboost Mustang, but I drive a lot so fuel economy is a consideration. I really like the current styling of the explorer. Excellent review, thanks for sharing!
We bought a 2022 Explorer Platinum. Nice ride and lots of power. Millage roughly same as the 2020 Tahoe we traded in on it. But brace for power steering failure. You will learn to like it. A failure like this with less than 1800 miles means this vehicle isn't starting life off that well.
@@CarsWithSteve I personally have a love/hate relationship with it. I feel like the 2020-2024 ST-Line, ST, and Platinum front is unmatched and in an effort to modernize the look for the 2025 refresh, ends up looking kind of off to me, although the 2025 Platinum looks the best out of all the refreshed trims. The rear on the other is chefs kiss beautiful on the 2025 refresh.
Funny, I was thinking the same thing about the new Mustang at first. I've spent a bunch of time with the lately and am really liking it now. Hopefully the next gen doesn't disappoint
You could improve the videos with less jerking around and vibration, particularly noticeable when showing the door panel end entering the vehicle. nOt sure if it is the gimbal or just hand movements, or both
@@geraldcathy Mine doesn't either- I was told that this was due to lack of chips and this was only offered as an option this year. I was greatly disappointed when I realized mine did not have this!
The brown trim on the doors (above the lighter leather). Is that also the same plastic as the ST line and below? Or a different sort of rubberized / leatherette material? Same question for the dash (above / beyond / behind the screen).
Really sucks the hybrid power train is locked to the higher end trims. Youd think wanting to lower fuel cost would be more ideal on a base or xlt line.
Makes sense! There aren't many mechanical differences between the 2024 vs 2025 models but it makes sense to wait that extra year to see if existing owners have run into issues
This so typical of GM! I had a similar issue with a GM car years ago. That’s why I went to Ford and never looked back. So glad I am still with Ford. I now have a 2021 GT 500 and it two weeks will pick up a new Explorer ST. GM looks for ANY reason to not honor its warranty or any agreement with its customers. Once they get your money they don’t know you.

The ST Line is a pretty underrated trim level. Good balance between the Explorer and EcoBoost! How are you liking the Mustang?

Oy, never good hearing stories like this. Dealer is taking care of you though right? Any other issues that you've run into with it?
Love how Ford took the Platinum's grill, blacked it out and threw it on the ST-Line. It is such as awesome design!
It is! What do you think of the design of the 2025 grille?

@@CarsWithSteve yeah I think seeing it in person and spending time with it will make a big difference too
It's got some Lexus GX vibes with that tan/brown interior color scheme.
Good comparison there! I'm liking the lighter interior in some of these cars the more I see it
The black wheel opening trim looks fine on a black ST, but I'd expect paint matched on the Platinum.
Hopefully there are some good style changes on the new 2025 model
I got a timberline and I love it🥰
Nice! What color did you end up going with?
@@CarsWithSteve silver
Rare combo there! I haven't seen an Iconic Silver Explorer in a while and don't think I've ever seen it in a Timberline

The camera I was using at the time didn't have built in stabilization
I’m trying to open the link for park assist but it brings me back to the main video.
Hmm I just tried it and it's working ok.. Here's the direct link: ua-cam.com/video/mj2e6MPM3n0/v-deo.html
Yeah sorry I was pressing the wrong link lol. I have the platinum and mine doesn’t have the park assist button. What’s up with that ?
All good! Some late model units were shipped with the actual park assist system fully installed. Does yours have the prep kit?

Ford has nice runningboards that deploy and close when you shut your door which other companies don’t do I don’t think
Good point Harpreet! The power deployable running boards are a great touch
Love it ❤

It would make sense for the hybrid to be available across the entire lineup.. maybe something that'll come in a redesign?
I'm waiting for the 2026 platinum waiting to see how the 2025 does.

Hello, this car also has a height adjustment system
The Explorer doesn't.. but the Lincoln Aviator (this one's cousin) has it available as an option

HAHA definitely missed that correction in the edit

GT 500 and an Explorer ST.. love the need for speed! How are you liking the GT500 so far?
@@CarsWithSteve Both Fords are just great! The quality is surprisingly good and the GT 500 that will go to the grave with me
