- This was a really sad day and a hard video to edit. Saying goodbye to my partner and crew Stephanie. She is going back to school to become a doctor so I wish her the best and a happy future. I will miss her a lot.

Just another day for Bobby Doodle. He ain't trying to get married anyway. I've been watching his channel for a long time, and he will have a replacement as soon as he gets his new boat. I would say he was probably relieved.

@@UA-cam_can_ESAD 20 years' gap is pretty tough with the best of intentions. Both are so optimistic in the beginning but time wears both down. Even external factors play against this because no one understands the relationship nor cares to be considerate. I've been there too -married a decade and a half!

I suspect that no matter how much someone loves the experiences of living on the boat and having all the amazing adventures, it is not reality for most women to stay there indefinitely. It has to be hard for Bobby. He is committed to this lifestyle for the long haul, but most women in particular would likely aspire to move on eventually to fulfill more conventional dreams. It is amazing that they just happened to find a pure love during this experience.
Now I can't wait to see what the future holds for Dr. Steph! You are loved.

Sailing GBU, Sailing Project Atticus, Sailing Delos, Sailing La Vagabonde all made it work with women and even kids on board.
But 3 of those 4 are in marriages so I guess that makes a difference.

Here it is 6h15 pm in Montreal at night and Bobby I just watched your beautiful tribute video to Steph! I am so happy for her and at the same time devastated for you both and I feel the same so sad and heartbroken for you both! I saw the first video ever when Steph appeared in it in Thailand and now this one. What can I say! Bobby you will certainly miss her dearly like all of us your fans! Such a beautiful soul she is! But you also! This period coming will be hard for sure but we enjoy so much all your videos keep doing them please as we are watching them from our TV in our living room. I had a feeling watching the last couple of months videos that something had changed between Steph and Bobbie. This reminds me a lot of when Laura left to go back to her nursing career.
That was a LOT different. She went back because they broke up. Watch the last few that they were together and it's pretty evident that Bobby was pushing her away. A couple of times, he actually came across as cruel...
Yes, there was a palpable difference when they got close to Thailand, the end of that passage. It was more than palpable to some; Bobby's editing did a gr8 job masking the atmosphere. Going back one could see the strife.

Well that was definitely tough to watch! But we have seen several goodbye videos over the years. Steph is such a genuine, caring and loving person that I’m glad she is pursuing her education and dreams. This was such a great video dedicated to her while she was a part of all of us and to your channel. You have a way of making others realize their passion and potential in life’s journey. WOW. Did not see this coming guys! I truly hope this is just see you later and not good bye. I have watched every Sailing Doodles video. Not sure how Bobby was able to put together and edit the farewell collage. Great job on that Bobby. I think because Steph is such a kind heart and compassionate person is why I am sad right now. I know that their have been other women in Bobby's life while building Sailing Doodles but you and Bobby will always be Sailing Doodles to me!!! I have a lot of respect for Steph to walk away to pursue a dream and a calling. It would be hard to walk away from boat life, but I would have fought like hell for a woman like her. Perhaps for some, long term personal goals trump blind hedonism, and it's only a matter of time before the short term infatuation of hitchhiking on the back of someone else's dreams wears thin, regardless of how spectacular the ride is. Props to Steph for resisting the seduction of the carefree lifestyle of Sailing Doodles, and recognizing that her personal goals were more important to her. It's great to get out and see the world while you can, and have fun in the sun while you're young, but IF you have serious personal professional goals, you have to come back to reality at some point. Some people are intellectually drawn to a higher purpose, and some are fully satisfied riding waves of adventure as far as they can. Ironically, the same drive to personal goals that put Bobby on his path is driving Steph away. Kudos to both of them for handling it in a mature and unselfish way. Sad to see her go, but Bobby's adventures continue. Best of luck to both.

Bobby have been following you for a over a year Steph is a very special partner. I am 81 have been married 4 times - when the right person is in front of you it may never happen again - It's like looking out to window for opportunities if you miss the bus another may never pass your way again (this was told to me by an 80 year old when I was 47 - he was right). Another guy in his late 70's a previous merchant seaman told me he had women in many ports when he finally figured his wife was the love of his life he retired came home and watched his wife die of cancer.......it was all lost....at the time these words of wisdom were told to me I was to young to understand the gravity of there words - don't make that mistake..Sam

This 68 year old 6’4” 270 lb guy may have gotten something in his eye causing a few tears…….life is indeed short……my outstanding, great wife of 34 years passed away this past January after a two year journey with stage 4 cancer and here I am seven months later reconnecting with someone from 37 years ago which I would have told you, you are crazy this would happen…..embrace each day…live it to the fullest and live with no regrets……and I have gotten back into sailing unbeknownst to me that this woman from 37 years ago also began sailing after we were no longer in touch….life has unlimited possibilities if you are open to them

Finished your schooling Steph. Then you'll be back. Even if you have your own doctor's certification & office. You can work & have your vacation on Bob's boat. Story: I had a tough problem at 22 yrs old. I've left my grandmother's & my youngest aunt at that time East Weymouth, Ma. ( 30 mins southeast of Boston, Ma. Locals called The South Shore.) It was a quick decision. I moved to southwestern section of Vermont. My mom & her boyfriend at the time was there. Then before Christmas of 1981. My mom & boyfriend gathered my second oldest sister & youngest brother. She asked: Would like to live in Vermont? Both replied: Yes! They packed & left for Vermont. My dad, grandmother & my aunt was furious! We didn't speak until the opportunity in the spring of 1982. We had a family discussion & some ground rules. Then my dad, grandmother, & aunt. They took thier weekends & vacations to see us. Then my favorite aunt/ restaurant hostess died October 1982. ( She died excessive alcoholism to her liver & died. 😮😮😮🙃🙃🙃😔😔😢😭) The family in Massachusetts was ready to go. The family in Vermont had " mixed feelings. Then to the end. We all stayed in Vermont. That was so hard. 😔😔😢😢😭😭 During both families became a stronger family together near future. The Vermont family explained our reasons. To not attending my Maine dead aunt's family's funeral. We regain our love & friendship to 2 Maine families. All families were happy. We went many times to see our Maine families in that future. Sorry. The lengthy story. But. I was telling my hard family situation to Steph. There's hope & togetherness towards her future. Good luck & be safe Steph. 🥰😊😉👍❤️💜⚘️🙏
