from a concrete curing perspective, I would recommend a couple of things to try and compare against the current approach: Once you pour the molds, put the thing in a bag or provide some other way to keep it from drying. Try using water glass (sodium silicate) before you seal. Both should improve strength and wear qualities. Might not be worth the minor extra effort, but if there are any fragility or wear concerns I'd try them. Nice video!
Love everything you make!! And also your videos. Thank you for sharing. I am trying to color my pots sage green. Any recommendations on direct color pigments I need to use to make that color. I know that everything dries lighter so I wasn't sure how to go about doing that. I'd like it to stay sage green not be real light. Thank you for any help you can give me.
Thank you so much! I have two green colors from direct colors. Forest Green is more of a kelly green and will give you the light green color, not necessarily sage. I also have Olive Tree which is more olive. I would thing blending the two could give you more of a sage color.
Thank you! I’m using cement-all. Flow control is an additive made by the same company that makes cement-all. It increases the fluidity of the mixture without having to add an excessive amount of water.
I do find the candle tends to burn cooler in the concrete vessels rather than glass or tin. That's part of the reason I really like using concrete vessels. They're safer in my opinion.
I notice with these, if I’m not using an acrylic paint, the finished product is very shiny and smooth. I notice this with most of the Amazon molds. Is there something we can do to the molds to create the matte look we get from a Modern Craft mold? I hope that makes sense! I’ve tried solid colors but really dislike the shiny smooth look they leave.
That is very true. Unfortunately with these particular molds, I find I always has that shiny finish. I know there are some other suppliers that have oval tray molds. I’m not sure what the finish is like but might be worth checking out. I believe Canadian silicone molds has some…and maybe also Devon Dotting.
Thank you for the tip with adding water to the paint😊

Hey thanks for the tips! Appreciate it. So far (knock on wood) I have yet to have one break on me.
Thank you so much for taking the time out to rxplain. I have been looking for weeks on how to! Subscribed and Liked !
You're so welcome! Thank you for watching and subscribing! :)
Love the tip at the end 🙌💫💖
Gorgeous! Love the rose gold ❤

Pretty trays!
Thank you!
Beautiful!! what pigment did you use for the black? you did a great job!
With the sealer I uh… never separate it and totally double dip 😂 maybe I’ll start now
Haha!! I know I'm guilty of that, too!
Hello Bree, Can you tell me that you use 100% pure Coconut Wax for your candles or is it a blend of other types of waxes too ?
How much an average time is to give a jar for curing after pouring it into the mould and how much time for curing after demoulding it ?
Hello, any alternative to Cement All I can use?
I LOVE your items. So pretty.
Could you please tell me what brand of cement you’re using, and what does the Flowall do???
Ty for the video. ❤️

Thank you!
Awesome video!! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Hello Bree , Can you tell me that. the concrete jars affect the fragrance oil or not ? as compare in making candles in plastic or in tin jars ?

Hi girl I need these made wholesale for manicure trays
Very pretty! I’ve made several, but haven’t tried to sell them yet. Do they sell well for you?
Yes, they do! When I have them in stock 😅
How many days does it take an oval tray to cure ? Thank you for posting the video
Thanks for watching! I usually will seal in 3 days. Like with the candle vessels, cure time will depend on weather conditions in your area.
@@calafiacandleco Thank you!
Great video!! How much do you sell your cement trays for?
Thank you! They retail for $14
@@calafiacandleco Thank you for responding!! ❤
HI. Can i use Titanium for making gray cement to white cement ?
Hi there. You certainly can add titanium dioxide to lighten the color. It may not be true white, but it will be whiter in color than the gray cement.
Where do you get the little feet (silicone bumpers)? i checked your amazon storefront and didnt see them 😅
They’re there! Under the concrete jar supplies category. The brand is “WubbaLubba”.
@@calafiacandleco thanks! I just ordered some. Wanted rubber for my soap dishes because I think cork would get gross 🤣
Im new to this.. why do you have to use a sealer ? Cant i use a expoxy gloss spray paint to seat ?
Sealing just helps to protect from scratches and wear and tear. I'm not sure..I've never used that before.
