I have the same guitar! I remember when they only had the light blue and orange model and while I was in Army basic training I found out Sweetwater had an exclusive run of the Vampire Kiss colour. Unfortunately it was sold out during the time we weren't allowed to have phones but I kept eyeing Reverb for one to pop up with no luck. Fortunately, Andertons UK had a few for some odd reason around November of 2022? I had it shipped to the U.S and can't put it down. I was thinking of getting a used Dinky but the Ibanez reverse headstock with the pickup configuration is hands down the coolest axe setup in my opinion! Cheers to you that you scored one :D
Glad you managed to get one. I was never a fan of the really bright colours, but when I saw the Vampire Kiss finish I had to have one. So I sold my LTD Snakebyte to fund it and I'm really glad I did. I just love the feel of the neck on the 565, especially with the maple board. It's my first genesis model and it really does live up to the hype as the best value shredder's guitar you can buy.
@@gle9344 I live in England, so I ordered mine from a local online retailer. I also own two Prestige models and I can say that the genesis are just as good. The Super Wizard necks have an identical profile, so they feel the same. The main differences are that Prestige models come with a case and branded pickups. But, to be honest, I really like the V8 bridge pickup and actually prefer it to the Tone Zone I had in my RG655 Prestige.
@@GarryParker Curious do you know how many of the Vampire Kiss they made in total? I remember when I was 18 and picked up a Prestige I thought it was constructed perfectly but you are right this Genesis is right there too, just a more bare bones version I suppose!
@@gle9344 Unfortunately not. All I know is that there were 50 of the original US run. I'm not sure how many were made for the rest of the world. One thing I do know is that they are no longer on the Ibanez website, so they aren't making any more.
1:46 Killer axe, had to look this up for reference. I believe I just scored big time on one of these! Didn't know they made a UK run. The UK CA print did throw me off at 1st. But now I'm glad I pulled the trigger.
I bought one recently. Amazing guitar. The only thing I dont like is the bright and thin sounding neck pickup. Any suggestion for neck pickup change to get a fuller and fatter sound?
I totally agree that the neck pikup isn't great. My favourite neck pickup is the Seymour Duncan '59. They do a "little '59", which is known for being quite fat. I may do the swap myself at some point.
@@GarryParkeri sold this guitar for the pickups, but i miss it a bit. It's also incredibly cheap compared to other japanese or american guitars. The neck wood felt a bit cheap, but i think it's because it was new and needs some aging to get to that more yellowish color that the old school RGs had
@@biohazard8295I agree that the neck pickup is awful, but I don't use those much. The V8 in the bridge is fine for me. I have 4 Japanese RGs and I play this one the most at the moment. It has the thinnest neck of all of them and I love the maple board. The old-school heel joint gives it a different vibe as well.

@@GarryParker Did you get yours through the USA market or UK? Its not a Prestige but these Genesis are not far off!

What a beauty!!😍😍
That is f**king gorgeous! 😯
Thanks mate 🤘
Isso não é uma guitarra. E sim uma obra de arte 🖤😍👊
Definitely a sweet looking and sounding axe Garry. Nice find and great little soundtrack 🤘🤘🤘

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. It's my favourite guitar to play. I love it.
@GarryParker Thanks, pretty stoked. Love the case combo by the way, gives it a great presentation.
Very nice 🤟
Cool axe! Are the dots matching colour or plain black? Thanks.
@@miotubo839 they are a matching colour but so dark they almost look black.

Hi, how did you get the hard case, because it don't go with guitar in stock?
Yes, you need to buy the hard case separately if you want one. I have a few RGs, so share the cases. This is the one from my RG655 Prestige.
