At Manchester, the Rain God saved Australia eventually. Although aussies have retained the Ashes but England won by threatening kangaroos so much that aussies were running scared and praying for rain at old trafford which tentamounts to real victory for England. Another important thing is that the Bazball has generated a buzz with a newfound and a renewed interest in the longer format of the game of cricket. In fact, Bazball is the way to go so as to spice up the Test cricket. Though it is needless yet vital to mention that England did not lose first two tests due to Bazball, but they lost it due to dropped catches.

DEI ( or as some call it...DIE). With her, they can cover both gender and sexual-orientation quotas in one-go. If only she was Black or Asian, they would have hit the jackpot!

Isnt it amazing that the people who preach tolerance and inclusivity are always the first with the ban hammer. So many comments removed because they didn't fit the narrow channel world view. People died for this?

As good a Ben Stokes is as a player, he lost England the first and forth test matches with poor declarations, both of them because of his ego. The first test was ridiculously too early due to ego, and then he unbelievably declared about 30 overs and 150 too late in the forth test. Had he declared then, England would have got 3-4 wickets late that day, and then a really good chance to clean up the rest in the full session on day 4. It was the much greater chance of a victory and he blew it……

What no one seems to mention and what cost England winning the series was putting Australia in to bat at Lord's, I knew then it was 0-2 and series over.

    • @stepkycopky9354
      @stepkycopky9354 Рік тому

@@aadhilsheikf9174 that is not true. The weather was being talked about for two days before the test started, that is one of the big reasons why the Australian team did not select a spinner, because they knew the match would be over inside 4 days, and Stakes also talked about stepping up the pace with his “Bazball” because it would be a shorter test match due to rain. If he had done as I have mentioned above, he would have no doubt got the 10 Aussie wickets and most likely had only a small total to get, and then England would be in total control of the result, ie, going at 12 runs per over to get 120 runs in 10 overs, in either poor light, or wet outfield conditions…..

I think you lot a bit churlish about woman cricketers. Why can't they be featured?

    • @TheMicj38
      @TheMicj38 Рік тому +7

They can be featured and we can all pretend we know who they are. Fact is, we don't. They are here as part of a quota. That's shockingly embarrassing. Patting women on the head and pretending they are relevant may be your way of "empowering" women but how about we just use the old methods: merit and (to be crude) bankability. If you need to shame people into watching your sport then you don't have a sport. But as long as it makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside...

I am 40 years old. At 40, I can bowl faster than every single female international cricketer in the world. And I can hit the ball just as far, or even farther. Now why would I spend my time and money to watch people who's skill-sets and outcome of skill-sets are inferior to even my own? Out of charity? Out of pity?
I do watch women's sports...but only the one's where I find the women's skills to be far superior to mine...and where I can really admire and appreciate their superior skill-set.
Watching women's cricket (and football) is like watching under-13 boys' sports.

This format makes the acadamy award winner Jonny Weasley seem a little less of a hypocrite for his performance outside the Lords crease…and ever since in the drive by 5:10 media. He seems normal now… not playing the victim when he was just a dozzy pratt not walking. Same spirit as Broadmouth who wouldnt walk despite being out but spells out Caries’s future. Another forgetable egotistical hypocrite bites the dust.

      Yes, you're 100 % Right , his Glove Work
Was shocking , He did not have soft Hands
What about the Run out , my God it was
Like a bull in the China shop , he Flatten
The wickets in a way that the Umpire
Had to wait untill the two bails come
Of ,and by that time he was home, good call
By a English Umpire , and even better call
For giving Bairstow out in the Test before
Not court up in the , being Good Sports
Not in the Spirit of the Game , what a cricket
Test Standard player ( the Jury out on that
One ) that at mid 35 Years old was still
Committing , not School boy mistake , a
Back yard mistake , has To be warned
And on the Topic of being warned , how
Come Australia were aware of this Habit
Of his of walking out of his Crease , It
Simple it called doing your Homework
On your Opposition finding there weakness
( Well done Australia Coaching staff )
And as I said on the Topic of being
Warned , why ? I ask you ? That the
England Coaching Staff did not pick
Up on this bad Habit and warn your
Keeper about this Habit he had .
And I like to add this I live in Australia
And work with Half Dozen , English ,
Welsh , Scottish not one of them
Complained and said it was not out
They said he a Nob , You see they
See how we play sport , hard and Fair
Not Hard and that not very sporting
Ps On being a Good Sport ,
I was watching the Game Australia
Bowled the under arm ball , I was yelling
At the TV no , no If he hits a Six Good on him
There No way I want to win a Game like that !
I Don't no if I watched it live , or on
The News , was Sandpaper Gate
Australia verse South Africa , what
A Joke that they even thought about
Cheating , and trying to get away with
      It , I don't agree with @Smith , Warner
Ever playing for Australia again , I would
Banned them for life , the sad part for
Me is Bancroft was The Falls man it
Like you never play for Australia again
      Because you got caught
So there you have it as Aussie do have
Morals , We live with the Taughts of
Sandpaper Gate , I was at a pub and
Nearly had punch up with Fellow
Aussies , about a year ago when we
We're talking about that Game , there
Some Dickhead out there , I made this
Commet about the amazing thing is
Even with the Cheating , we still lost
The Game , no we won the Game mate
Was the reply from two Blokes , sorry
We lost was my replie again , piss of
Mate we won the Game , I then let it
Go and Goggled it , I starting Reading
It out and starting telling them the scores
They both got really Nasty , I just walked
Out , Bunch of Dickheads the Truth Hurts
As The old Man used to Say, you have
To man up sometime and Aussie are not
      Good at that one Sometimes
Pss I been Ravein on hear forgot to
      Mention about Quality Keepers as
A Very Young man I used to watch
Test Matches when you Had the Best
Keeper , our Marshy was good to Quicks
But he was not a Patch on standing up
To spinners , was Alan Knott what a
Brilliant Keeper , the way he stood up
      To Derek Underwood bowling medium
Pace Spinners , his Soft Glove work
And don't mean to pick on Bairstow
Knotty would never give his wicket
      Away when batting

Doesn't matter if u drop a catch if u can blitz a quick 50, seems to be the mindset. I personally would of dropped him after the 2nd test but pope our other keeper in the squad was injured.
