At Manchester, the Rain God saved Australia eventually. Although aussies have retained the Ashes but England won by threatening kangaroos so much that aussies were running scared and praying for rain at old trafford which tentamounts to real victory for England. Another important thing is that the Bazball has generated a buzz with a newfound and a renewed interest in the longer format of the game of cricket. In fact, Bazball is the way to go so as to spice up the Test cricket. Though it is needless yet vital to mention that England did not lose first two tests due to Bazball, but they lost it due to dropped catches.

As good a Ben Stokes is as a player, he lost England the first and forth test matches with poor declarations, both of them because of his ego. The first test was ridiculously too early due to ego, and then he unbelievably declared about 30 overs and 150 too late in the forth test. Had he declared then, England would have got 3-4 wickets late that day, and then a really good chance to clean up the rest in the full session on day 4. It was the much greater chance of a victory and he blew it……
What no one seems to mention and what cost England winning the series was putting Australia in to bat at Lord's, I knew then it was 0-2 and series over.
@@aadhilsheikf9174 that is not true. The weather was being talked about for two days before the test started, that is one of the big reasons why the Australian team did not select a spinner, because they knew the match would be over inside 4 days, and Stakes also talked about stepping up the pace with his “Bazball” because it would be a shorter test match due to rain. If he had done as I have mentioned above, he would have no doubt got the 10 Aussie wickets and most likely had only a small total to get, and then England would be in total control of the result, ie, going at 12 runs per over to get 120 runs in 10 overs, in either poor light, or wet outfield conditions…..
