Solo Rockhounding for Chrysocolla & Exploring Abandoned Caves in Arizona

- Welcome to my last rockhounding adventure for now. This was probably my most successful one. I found so much beautiful and non-brittle Chrysocolla - it was amazing! And the caves around there proved to be a fun little extra adventure! Just please excuse my kinda gross fingers here… That was after hours of scrubbing hundreds of rocks and thus.. not so pretty.
Music:
Mini Vandals - To Loom Is To Love
Silent Partner - Low Tide
Topher Moor and Alex Elena - Late
Monplaisir - Pretending
The Agrarians - Your Teasing Potentials
Les Hayden - Still

Hey, we’re Lisa and Kevin, a German/American couple that just needed to leave the city, quit our service jobs (no we didn't work in tech with tons of money saved up) and go explore in our 16 year old self-converted Sprinter “Tandy”.
#chrysocolla #rockhounding
Thanks for sharing!! Looks like so much fun. Enjoy your treasures.
Thank you, I am! :)
That dirt road you said it was too rough that's considered paved in Arizona.😊
Hahaha why am I not surprised...:)
Facts.
Chrysocolla is very pretty, just love the colour, that was quite a adventure, those caves definitely look scary lol, thanks for sharing 😁 👍
Yes, this color spectrum there is sooo hard to resist! :)
Nice, thanks for the Adventure. Just was wondering what you end up doing with the Chrysocolla? Keep up the Adventures.
You're so welcome! :) I will try to make some form of jewelry out of some pieces...
Aaaaahhhhh!!!! THANK YOU!!! Chrysocolla ❤❤❤❤
omg this is my dream
We found some of that outside Payson. There was a random little pocket about 4 or 5 miles off the hwy.
Oh great! These colors are just so stunning!
That's a pretty cool place to explore. Down the road from there you can find Chrysacolla with Barite and beautiful blue copper stained quartz. Have also found blue druzzie there. Look's like blue diamonds. Rock shows love it. Sold a shoebox full for $28,000. So cool.
Oh wow, that sounds amazing! All of them! I guess I better go back there haha.. But good for you for finding all these!
Where is this located? I know people don’t like to share exact locations but figured I’d ask.
@@organizedchaos2824 pretty far off 95 in AZ. To the east.
@@richardbeee
Is it the Betty Lee mine
@@organizedchaos2824 nope. The red dog.
I find that in a lot of minds around here in Tucson I think I’ve actually been to that place you are at right now long long time ago, but can’t remember😮
That would be so random! :) But pretty cool!
Looks like the Oklahoma Mine by Florence Arizona.
but that's not it.. :)
lisa everywhere
I can’t wait to start doing that . We live in Peoria and never been rock hounding before . Gibbs start getting hot here soon so I’m planning on starting at the end of this year . I know nothing about it
Haha, I was a bit wary of those holes, believe me. Always throwing rocks in there before I come too close. Rock hounding is incredibly fun - you just gotta start somewhere. Roughly know what you're looking for and off you go. But also check if you're on private property, just to be safe. Wishing you lots of fun and finds when you go out there!
Wish I was there instead of stuck in Texas, very cool copper mineralization
Hope you get "unstuck" asap!
Working hard on getting unstuck
😱👍🏼
What a ride, this is all i want to do

Go Girl Go !!!! man Arizona beat Michigan this time of year and worst my brothers headed out your way im soooo Jealous!!
Oh yess! Join your brothers! But either way, Winter is about to be over pretty soon!
You chicken i would have definitely gone in at least too take a look!!!!
Haha, next time I will! :P
Nice
What part of az?
the far west
Fun video! I could never do a trip like that because I'd want to bring everything home with me.
Thanks! Haha, yeah, it´s so hard. The bag and the hike out limited the haul for sure..probably for the better. :D
Arizona ladies know how to take care of their skin. 1/16 inch coating of Sunscreen. They take it very seriously. It's their religion.
People still get killed trespassing on some one claim. No joke.
That´s crazy... still the wild wild west..
@@lisasomewhere88 Find Artemus Gordon to watch your back. Or some other dashing companion with hidden skills. 😉
The feds fenced off all the public land and you cant even get places anymore 😢
Oh what..? That's sad... rockhounding sure isn't getting easier.. I wonder how it would be in 40 years from now... yikes
Those are mine adits not caves…
