It’s so cute how we’re slowing getting to know Nicholas while you work together. It doesn’t feel forced and you can tell that seeing you happy makes him happy ❤️
Nicolas’ energy matches Jenna’s perfectly. I always felt that was previously missing a bit. I’m so happy. They seem so naturally comfortable with each other.
triple thick glaze is meant to be used with acrylic paint. using it with a water-based paint, like gouache (which is kinda like if watercolor and acrylic had a baby) can result in smearing like what happened here. I'm not sure what would be a good glaze/top coat for gouache since it isn't really meant for wearables since it's water-based, but maybe a spray product would work better?
There are actually 2 kinds of gouache: traditional gouache that stays water soluble after drying like watercolor, and acrylic gouache which behaves like gouache but is permanent when it dries. Acrylic gouache would probably work best for this project. With the regular gouache you could probably use some sort of a spray sealant and then the triple thick glaze over that.
I love both the dog necklaces. I feel the Benson necklace is so sweet and the Jack necklace with those eyes is just fun and silly. They capture the dogs' personalities perfectly! Kudos to Sir Nicholas who seems like a lovely fellow.
I strongly recomend strengthening your polymer clay charms by droping them in a cup of ice water immediately after baking. Another UA-camr recommended it and it really does work! You can also coat in resin to strengthen and have a gloss finish.
This was joyous for the following reasons ❤ 1) Sir Nicholas wearing the vest you made for him 😍 2) You saying that the locket was for 2 photos of yourself 😂 3) The perfection of the Benson and Jack necklaces together ❤️ 🐕 🐕 Best. Video. Ever. Thank you ❤️ 😊
Guache paint is like `concentrated watercolor` that`s the reason `triple effect` smudges the design, I can recommend using gesso as a base on the polymerclay first+ use acrylic paint on gesso (after dried completely)+ glaze with `triple effect` should work perfectly! I make my earrings that way and I`m happy with the method. I can feel your passion for the project so I wanted to share! Also, I watch/listen your videos as I paint, so inspiring, thank you for doing this!!!
If you put a dish towel on your table and then place your beads on it, they’re less likely to roll away. There are mats you can purchase for jewelry making that keep the beads from rolling around. I’ve found using two needle nose pliers (like the one you used) it makes it easier to open and close the jump rings. I love how everything turned out. Your videos are entertaining as well as informative. I came for the sewing, but like all the other stuff you’re sharing.
Gouache is either water based or acrylic. You need the acrylic version to put the top glaze over and it won’t smear. It also helps to have 2 pair of pliers. You did great. 👍🏼
I really love how Nick is showing up in your videos. I loved both necklaces (Benson & Jack) loved the competition between you both, so adorable. You made such cute jewelry
Well done Sir Nicholas! I love both necklaces because they're pups and as a dog person, I can't choose a favorite because the pups are beyond adorable!!
Nicholas looks great in his knitted sleeveless jumper aka vest. Both the Jack and Benson necklaces are fantastic and I think they are a tie for my vote.
Awesome video! So nice that Nick joined you for the dog charm contest-- they are both adorable. Thanks for the inspo-- I'm gonna pull out my jewelry supplies!! xxoo
Awww.. you are an official jewellery maker.. well done! I love them all.. I can't decide on your doggos necklaces.. they are both adorable 🥰❤😊 Loving you from Australia 🦘
All the necklaces are fabulous! Very 70's vibes...I did that sort of thing then. Actually, I'm now 60, and I still do! Nice to be meeting Sir Nick a bit more.
i am a veteran polymer clay charm maker and the glaze works better if you hang the eyepin on something like a paperclip and dip it in the glaze. shake off the excess or blot it if theres a drip at the bottom but it should leave a pretty uniform finish with no smudging :3
Hi, could you tell me if the eyepin should be in the polymer clay charm when you put in the oven? or just made the hole in the charm and then put the eyepin?
I just wanted to say that I really love you. You got me into crocheting a month ago and now this is a new love of mine. Last night I just had a playlist to watch all of your videos again, While I was crocheting. Thank you Jenna. You are such a lovely person
Ive been really into making crochet beaded necklaces. I made a bunch for people for christmas. Just single strand, chain stitch but incorporating a bead into every chain stitch. They're so fast to make!
You should try making candles! I suggest using beeswax and silicond molds, but you can also make dipped candles! Or even carved candles! It's really fun and super rewarding! Been doing candles for maybe 2 weeks and I've made like 35 of them already!
New here, I love your energy and enthusiasm. I have to say I'm biased towards the Jack charm since I'm a 2 time pug owner, but my favorite is the fried egg. Just a quick tip: get a second pair of needle nose pliers. Use one to hold the jump ring while the second opens up the jump ring.
First time I’ve seen anyone using 2 crimp beads on each end. I usually add a crimp bead cover over my squashed crimp bead so it doesn’t show. I usually don’t make a pretty crimp. I liked your necklace and the charms turned out very well. Lots of talent flowing through your video. Thanks 🌻
Cheers Jenna for the tutorial. It has inspired me to try and use some modelling clay I received off my bestie for Christmas. Don't know if it will work but also will attempt some drinks coasters too.
Jenna, if you get a pair of forceps they’re much easier to attach the jump rings with! They’re pointed nose pliers that clamp shut, there’s usually a few clicks of tightness so you can adjust them, and then you can hold the ring in your non-dominant hand and just put the charm and chain on it and clamp it shut with a second set of pliers super super easily. Sorry if I’m over explaining it, it just hurt to see you struggle with it when there’s an awesome tool that makes it sooo much easier 😭 I absolutely loved the video by the way!!
I love this charm trend! I'm going to include it in my store soon! I didn't even know about the porcelin charms, that's so cool! And the charms and necklaces turned out so cute! Here's a tip that I use: you can douplicate your thrifted charms by using silicon molding putty to mold it and then use polymer clay (or any other crafting clay/imput) to make clones. I love the necklace with Benson on it! So cute!
I would have died if I had gotten stuck in an elevator for 40 minutes. You are so casual about it. Loved the video. The jewelry was awesome! And loved watching Nick help. You are hysterical-2 photos of you 😂. The puppy faces were both brilliant.
Awesome fun, you guys. Both doggie charms win. 😅 I love the made charm necklace, it is so original. Maybe next tine, if there is a next time, you can pour resin over the charms. 😂 I laughed. The oven tray didn't fit so you made a plan. Shove it in at an angle. 😂👍👍💪 I got stuck in a lift in a hospital. I was in the car park in the basement of the hospital, going up to visit my grandfather. This hospital is so huge it is 1km long. The Main passage is called Hospital Street. No jokes. I had claustrophobia stuck in the lift which was no fun at all. Glad you guys were rescued. 🎉 Well done, all good fun. 🎊 🐶🦊🐕🍰🍒🍓🍳🍴🦓🐠🦢🌺
It's so cute that Sir Nicholas is joining you and enjoying your hobbies with you
for real
"yes love" 🥹
And hes wearing the sweater vest she made!❤
I literally cried!?!@@hmshambles
Right!! How cute that he made her a charm of her dog 😢 so stinkin cuuute!
I'm sorry for not expecting Jack charm to look that good but it is WELL DONE!!
Big props for boyfriend wearing the sweater vest! Its a close race on the pup charms...but the fine details of Jack win it.
"yes love" actually made me cry a lil, that was very sweet
RIGHT? that was so cute
"I'm thinking 2 photos of me" make me laugh 😀
her comedic timing is top tier 😭
Me too 😂😂😂
The Benson necklace is so cute! The beads make it even better
Let’s hear it for the supportive king that is Sir Nicholas!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I love that for you, Jenna!! ❤
Jenna not understanding what was wrong with the title is hilarious yet relatable
I love your approach to fiber arts. You have inspired me to be brave and confident in my projects. Thank you!
I absolutely love how chaotic this video is

@@melbarama oh, I didn’t know about acrylic gouache! That would probably work really well for wearables and maybe even keycaps!
wait acrylic isnt water-based?! i thought it was and then oil wasnt! WHAT
@@imathumb acrylic is water-based (my bad), but once dried it can’t be reactivated by water like watercolor and gouache can.
@@imathumb you're totally right they're both water based, it's the binders that are different. Edited my previous comment to be more clear.
i knitting a dress was iconic i hope u don’t change it
I love both the dog necklaces. I feel the Benson necklace is so sweet and the Jack necklace with those eyes is just fun and silly. They capture the dogs' personalities perfectly! Kudos to Sir Nicholas who seems like a lovely fellow.
sir nicholas sitting down and making charms with u is so wholesome! i love to see hes wearing his vest 😭❤
So jealous of where Jenna lives. She has yarn, fabric and bead specialists within bike/car ride distance.
I strongly recomend strengthening your polymer clay charms by droping them in a cup of ice water immediately after baking. Another UA-camr recommended it and it really does work! You can also coat in resin to strengthen and have a gloss finish.
I’m just so glad to see that you have someone who share your love of crafting. Both dogs looked great
This was joyous for the following reasons ❤
1) Sir Nicholas wearing the vest you made for him 😍
2) You saying that the locket was for 2 photos of yourself 😂
3) The perfection of the Benson and Jack necklaces together ❤️ 🐕 🐕
Best. Video. Ever. Thank you ❤️ 😊
When put together, the Benson necklace and the Jack necklace are greater than the sum of their parts. I want to make jewelry now
Benson and Jack, equally fantastic! Thank you for a great video. :)

or spray varnish can be used on guache too!!! (without brush touching onto the design)

Now I can add beading/charms to my crochet, knitting and sewing! Thank you Jenna. Both dog charms are adorable...
Sir Nicholas makes me so happy !!! wearing the knitted sweater and doing something you love with you 🥹🖤 so happy for you girl !!!
I really love how Nick is showing up in your videos. I loved both necklaces (Benson & Jack) loved the competition between you both, so adorable. You made such cute jewelry
It's so great to see you much more happier now jenna. I look forward to see more videos with u and sir nic
Both dog charms turned out great. I like the Jack one a little bit better.
The oven scene with the pan 😂😂😂 hilarious! All the necklaces are the best as they are so unique in their own ways.
I love how your editing style has evolved besides how you have evolved! Lovely video!!
The charm one is charming. The “I don’t know” is called a miraculous medal.
Wow so amazing! Both jack and benson charms look amazing! 🤩
It's a tie!!🎉 They are both ADORABLE! 😊
the transition from you stuttering to the camera almost falling over and jump scaring you, had me in tears 😂😂😂
THAT jack charm is everythingggg
I got hit by that snow storm too, and crocheted for daaays. I'm glad you also did some amazing work while it was so freezing!! Youre a star 😊
The Jack charm is very detailed, but the Benson charm has the added benefit of the beaded necklace. You need them both, just like your dogs!! ❤
Well done Sir Nicholas! I love both necklaces because they're pups and as a dog person, I can't choose a favorite because the pups are beyond adorable!!

The necklaces turned out fantastic! I really like the Benson and Jack ones!!
You always inspire me for my own projects Jenna! Thank you! Benson and Jack charms are so cute
I love how the two dog necklaces can be layered, they look nice together 🥰
Awww.. you are an official jewellery maker.. well done!
I love them all..
I can't decide on your doggos necklaces.. they are both adorable 🥰❤😊
Loving you from Australia 🦘
Jack and Benson necklaces look fab together ❤️
Eyy Jack's one look good! Sir Nicholas might take over! It's good to see him participitaing like that! I hope both of you stay like this!
All the necklaces are fabulous! Very 70's vibes...I did that sort of thing then. Actually, I'm now 60, and I still do! Nice to be meeting Sir Nick a bit more.
New Jenna Video day is my favourite day of the week ❤
Awwww!! It’s so cute to see Nick wearing the sweater you made him. Awwww!!! 🥰🥰🥰
These came out so good! And Sir Nicolaus’s version is just as adorable!
I LOVE the food necklace! It’s so cute! I might have to do something like this with my kids! Thanks for the great ideas!
So I'll be making one of these soon! Thanks to you and a few other creators, I've decided to embrace my inner whimsy. Thank you for the inspiration! ❤

All necklaces are cool! I love the one with Benson on it!💜💜 the Jackie necklace is adorable too🐾🐾
Your videos make my day! I love that Sir Nicholas made a charm with you!
I like how you two act together, you look happy! Amazing video❤

I just wanted to say that I really love you. You got me into crocheting a month ago and now this is a new love of mine. Last night I just had a playlist to watch all of your videos again, While I was crocheting. Thank you Jenna. You are such a lovely person
Honestly the Jack and Benson necklaces together are perfect.
You can buy a stand to clip chains up to hold them while you add jump rings
0:30 omg I never noticed how pretty your eyes are!!
EXCELLENT dear Jenna❣️ I miss doing art so bad. Been sick a couple yrs do live vicariously through you so thank you.⭐️
Jenna coming to save my day again! Yay!
I’m loving Bensons face. It’s adorable. Maybe a few beads to make him glow. Spotted Nic wearing his jersey. Fantastic.
Ok who is editing your vids ? Lol they are funky ! ❤😂❤
Me!
Love them all. I can't pick between Jack or Benson. Both are adorable. I also love that your boyfriend joins you in your crafts.
I just love them all, so cute, but the two doggo ones, you may keep for life.
Ive been really into making crochet beaded necklaces. I made a bunch for people for christmas. Just single strand, chain stitch but incorporating a bead into every chain stitch. They're so fast to make!
I love them all, but the food one is my absolute fave! *chef’s kiss*
Choosing which necklace is better is like picking which child that you love most so both are best.
You should try making candles!

They turn out so beautiful, omg
You need to keep that pan for your clay now. There are plasticizers that melt onto the pan. Cute video!
aweee Sir Nicholas is wearing the sweater vest you made him, im so happy :D
Hey Jenna, loved the video! Both necklaces at the end are really great, hard to choose a fav!
I'm so happy to see, that Nicholas is wearing the vest you made for him.

A Jenna Phipps Mia maples collab would be so fun 👀
Loved these necklaces .i loved the puppy necklaces the best , and still love the food one too .please put your puppy’s photos in your locket❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Cheers Jenna for the tutorial. It has inspired me to try and use some modelling clay I received off my bestie for Christmas. Don't know if it will work but also will attempt some drinks coasters too.
There's no way I'm gonna choose between Jack or Benson. Noooo. They are to die for! Great idea! More please...
I used to use polymer clay lots growing up and you can 100% bake the eyepins while in the clay as the oven is normally max 120°C 💕
Jenna, if you get a pair of forceps they’re much easier to attach the jump rings with! I know this is super late, but it's easier to manipulate jump rings with two sets of pliers.
idk I think Jack still turned out amazing!!! Both dog charms are my favorite part of the video
The one with Jacks face is so well done!
I like the Folk art look of the Jack charm. But they're both nice!
I love this charm trend! I'm going to include it in my store soon! I didn't even know about the porcelin charms, that's so cool! And the charms and necklaces turned out so cute! Love the doggo necklaces the best! Had a grandpug named Clarence. He proved to us that pugs can fly!
Awesome fun, you guys.
Both doggie charms win. 😅
I love the made charm necklace, it is so original.
Maybe next tine, if there is a next time, you can pour resin over the charms. 😂
I laughed. The oven tray didn't fit so you made a plan. Shove it in at an angle. 😂👍👍💪
