They were pointing out that he used the wrong word for "dead." _Dauður_ is used for animals, whereas _dáinn_ is used for people.

Pfff, hum’ns ARE a type of anm, so the same word(s) should be used for both - I am upper intermediate level in Icelandic and Norse, but I don’t follow such rules that make no sense logically, and I highly recommend doing the same!
