Hey Luke. I know you get this all the time but your podcast rocks. I mean it. Somehow you turn language-learning into something special and absolutely enjoyable. I found LEP like half a year ago and it totally hit the spot. I was searching for an appealing podcast to get exposure to British accents since I mostly listen to American English which is also the type of English I go for when I myself speak. Hello, Luke! Today I first learned about DOPPELGANGER. It's interesting to note that I don't like to think that there is my DOPPELGANGER somewhere. I don't believe in those words: "if you meet your doppelganger, you'll die" but I would't want to meet my doppelganger. Thank you for the lesson, I liked the explanation of the words.

I don't know which of the two short stories with Doppelgangers I loved the most, and if I didn't love the two as much as I loved that very emotional story named The Mountain with that woman too perfect to be real. But what I wanted to tell here is that you are not only a remarquable teacher, but also a good actor, when you explain the state of mind and the feelings of your character. I adored the expression of your face in the first Doppelganger; there you really were looking like Othelo in tho moment when he discovered the betrayal ( which it was not a betrayal but who cares?) But the most extraordinary in all you do is that you teach your students not only the English language, but also how one must to read the prose if not to write it. Thank you so much for all these presents. Sorry for all possible mistakes in this too long message. Good luck and happiness.
What I liked the most in this story is how sympathetic and compassionate you sounded about the poor betrayed woman.I believe it was sinencere and not just for the sake of vivid reading

I think the last line of the first story, ‘’ as I no longer wanted to look at the you who wasn’t you’’ , conveyed two unspoken feelings. One is the man really just a doppelganger, and the other is her love just fell in love with someone else, and he was no longer the one who loved her so much, the one she knew.

I think the use of 'was' with 'you' is because here 'you' is not used as pronoun and the doer of the action but it works as a word for the person the lady had seen. So in that case third person singular and that's why 'wasn't' is used.
It's a very beautiful expression by the writer.

i think the way you explain how to learn english is suitable for me, hopefully i can improved my english with your channel!
From my experience of learning English as a foreign learner, I highly recommend exposing yourself to the language through movies and any other audio-visual content, this helped me get used to the pattern of that language and gave me a huge advantage among other learners who were learning English in a straight forward and boring method.
