The question marks on the sidekick dice are wilds, but that doesn't mean you can turn the die to any face you want. It means that energy face can be used as any of the four energy types (mask, bolt, shield or fist).
To visually see how it's played and explained in great detail in the different phases helped me out a lot, thank you for posting your game night. It also helped that there were teams, seeing how well they worked together and talk about different things that can be done. All around awesome video.
When he said about boosters "You get 2 different die" I felt sad as I remembered when I got 2 Professor Xavier in a pack when I already had 1 :( Anyway great vid guys, really enjoyed it :)
Were they the same Xavier, though? And one of the good things about the boosters is that even if you have the cards already, the dice can still be valuable additions to your pool... 😁
Should have used close up shots of the dice and the cards in this episod, Dave had some sort of dice/hand cam in a previous episode, think it was Clubs. Would have been great to see the game up close.
You guys treated wild card side (question mark) incorrectly. You can only change the question mark to any energy (not pawn). From rules: "There is also a wildcard, represented by a question mark; it can become any kind of energy you like"
***** Rick was correct. During your learning game Dave changed a '?' to a sidekick and attached Nikki and Aaron for 1 damage with it, at roughly the 23:14 point. It seems you must have caught yourself later on, so no big deal, as long as others aren't confused by this. We never physically change the dice to anything, simply calling it a Wild Card Energy.
CHEAT ALERT: 1:13:20. Dave uses Smash to have Human Torch DO NO DAMAGE, but then KOs the 3 defending Sidekicks (getting to reroll them next turn). Problem is: even though they blocked, they took no damage and were not KO'd.
At 1:32 when hulk was attacked and both heroes survived. Shouldn't the dice have remained in the game? And hulk done a plus +2 attack and plus, +2 defense? Doesn't that mean that the next attack should have won the game? Instead of just one damage as it did?
I think he does change the face of the die on the left towards the mask Icon, but the outer right one was also changed from mask to something else. So I guess he flipped the dice so they again matched the initial roll.

I am just unsure of a rule with regards to fielding multiple dice for the same character (such as the human torch). The rule book is not that clear (unless I am missing an obvious point here) but I read in another forum that you can only field one version of the character. Thematically this would make sense as you couldn't have two hulks at the same time fighting. I tried to justify the idea that this is not separate characters but separate potential attacks.But this also means that if one gets KO'd then the other should disappear? Any clarification on this guys? cheers and thanks again.
+TheGnomeDenial I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that means you can only have one *card* for a character; like you can field your two or three Captain America dice, but you can't field one Captain America: Super Soldier and one Captain America: Leader.

I believe they have a Kickstarter going for that model right now though they do regularly sell them on the website. The big option is they are offering a cherry stained version during this campaign. Great episode! 2 vs 2 is great idea to allow strategy discussion without reverting to talking to yourself like most dice masters youtube videos.

Seth Logan Watch in 1080 he never had a mask to begin with, but probably was done due to lack of attention.
