I have been passively tracking the restoration efforts towards Western Puṇē's Rāmanadī.
Other than the Rāmanadī Restoration Mission (RRM), a volunteer program aimed at spreading awareness among residents and youth, there is barely any concrete action from the Municipal Corporation. Empty promises..
Meanwhile, we have heroes like Ramveer Tanvar and Nimal Raghavan working tirelessly to restore lakes and ponds in rural and suburban India in collaboration with CSR initiatives of private companies. We need urgent action from the government at all levels!

@@NitinDasFilms Though I agree grudgingly, let me tell you that I've been a resident of Pune for 70 years and things take a very long time to be implemented. The red tapism is so rampant that genuine strugglers from the likes of you are rarely taken seriously. And that is the sad part and one that hurts the likes like me. But my best wishes for a quick redressal.

These are not rivers any more are rather now gutters. One of the biggest reason been the untreated Industrial & human waste let in these rivers.
This started from the 1980. My late father & me use to go fishing & we use to catch big size Rohu & Katla fishes. Those days rivers had many tortoise too.
This is not Development. This is Destruction & the worst is yet to come.
