Meghalaya Anthem

After more than 50 years of waiting, I am very happy to announce the public release of an official state anthem on the eve of Meghalaya Day. The song combines a tune with the charm of indigenous instruments. The music was conceived by our beloved (late) Neil Nongkynrih who also co-wrote the lyrics with me. Happy to inform you that I was also involved in contributing the Khasi lyrics of the song while Ms. Iris W Thomas wrote the Garo lyrics. It was a labour of love and passion from all of us. Thank you everyone who was part of the launch especially the Honourable Chief Minister and other dignitaries. Feeling a lot of personal pride in this final outcome 😀.
