It is a rare condition in which urticaria (hives) develop rapidly after the skin comes in contact with water, regardless of its temperature. It most commonly affects women and symptoms often start around the onset of puberty. Some patients report itching too. It is a form of physical urticaria.

The Allergic to water thing is actually a real thing that can happen, but it mostly develops in teenage years. And I'm not sure if she got it from the video, but once, my cousin told me a story about an alligator biting off a guy's junk and some girl liked him because he didn't have it. This was back in 2016, so it is possible that she was telling a real story. But I'm not quite sure since my cousin was, and still is, quite prone to lying.

Relax, I know that the aunt is actually allergic, not just afraid. My mom actually has mild hydrophobia. She abhors any natural body of water. When I was little, she actually told me that if I went in water, I would drown. Present day (December 31 2019) I can just B A R E L Y swim. I actually have almost drowned in a swimming pool a few years ago, but I actually still like swimming. I think I’m just too stubborn to be rightfully afraid of water, so that’s nice. Someone commented about how their relative is allergic to something, and I just started talking about irrational fears. Go like StealthyJynx’s comment.

As someone who is allergic to water, it usually depends on temperature/type of water if that makes sense. Personally, I don’t get a rash most the time, but I do get hives, not severe. I manage to keep the hives under control with Benadryl and spacing out showers, for example taking a shower 3 times a week, I have it scheduled for Sunday , Wednesday , And Friday. That girl definitely dramatized aquagenic urticaria (scientific name) , It isn’t impossible , but it’s a rare very case that it would cause shortness of breath😭✌️
