- Iyengar Yoga for Spinal Decompression: Elongate & Release
▶ If you are looking for lumbar spine exercises because of nagging lumbar spine pain, look no further! In today’s class, we explore Iyengar Yoga for lower back release. Utilizing the principle of traction, this short but effective Iyengar Yoga video teaches how to decompress the lumbar spine and enjoy spinal mobility, pain relief, and an overall sense of freedom.
▶ I often describe this practice as 'brushing your teeth' for people with lower back pain - morning and night, every day, for the rest of your life 🪥😁. It's a super powerful practice and well worth incorporating into your daily routine!

This is magical sequence for the back pain and the spinal decompression. Thank you so much! 🙏🙏
You are most welcome! I'm delighted to know that you enjoyed it 😊🙏
Hi Stephanie. I really appreciate how you taught the practice: instructions and demonstrations were clear, specific, and transitioned smoothly from right to left side etc. throughout the practice. You are a wonderful teacher. Thank you.
Thank you so much! Loved it so much that I’m ordering a longer strap. Wonderful sequence 🙏
Ooooh fun! It’s a great prop to have in your yoga toolkit ;)
This was surprisingly challenging, interesting and spreading the intellect in the body. Cheers!
Hi Stephanie! Nikol here :). Love this tutorial. Super clear and concise. Even just watching the video feels relieving. Thank you for sharing!
this changed the way I hike! I can use my legs in a much more aligned way, my pelvis is not twisted and rolling forward anymore, making my stride far more efficient and strengthening. It really stretches the tendons at the top of the quads which get so short from sitting, but it also makes the leg do work from this positioning and gives a whole new awareness to that lower ab/front hip area.
Iyengar Yoga for Hiking - I love it! Thanks so much for sharing your experience ☺🙏.
