That list of roles and abilities just saved me a lot of heartache. And after searching for a few hours - this is the first place ive seen it detailed. Ok maybe i'm not using the right keywords to find this faster.. but it was very helpful to find it here. Default for meetings should have everyone as presenters and the Organizer must identify who the presenters are - or the organizer will be the only person who can present.
This helped so much thank you. I am about to take on a role that id like to utilize this for. I jave a question about attendees, my organization would like to maintain the chat after the meeting ends. Can attendees chat and share things like documents in the chat after the meeting ends?
@chris - what if I want the other people in the meeting to only speak when not muted and all of them can se my camera in Big screen ??? Do I then need to make myself as a presenter - just me ??
I haven't tested this out, but according to Microsoft, you can assign Breakout Room Managers. If I have time this weekend, I'll test it. Here are the instructions from Microsoft. *Appoint breakout rooms managers* If you're the meeting organizer, you can delegate presenters to manage the meeting's breakout rooms. Breakout rooms managers can: Add and delete rooms Assign and reassign participants to rooms Open and close rooms Join any rooms Set time limits for room sessions Send announcements Recreate rooms *Important* : Only one person can manage a meeting's breakout rooms at a time. *Appoint managers before the meeting* Go to your Teams calendar and open the meeting invite. Go to Breakout rooms and select Room settings Settings button. Switch the Assign presenters to manage rooms toggle on. Select Search for presenters and choose who you want to be breakout rooms managers.
Thanks very much. Do you know if you can make someone a presenter (outside the organization) before they attend, i.e., days before the meeting? We have guest speakers out are always outside our organization. Thanks again for your short, quick and very clear video.
Definitely. Schedule a meeting. Edit the meeting, click Meeting Options. It will launch a web browser. Sign in and change Who can present. Here is a screenshot. I have it set for Everyone, but you have four options. drive.google.com/file/d/1OyeesxkktrMOmNA4ATiT5t0JfVzsZw-4/view?usp=drivesdk
This is such a huge question/issue, I'm glad I'm not the only one asking! I'm an executive assistant and we are currently using WebEx. Moving over to Teams in a few weeks, and this lack of functionality is going to create a bit of a bottleneck in our org. I'm noticing a LOT of things that I'll no longer be able to do for my C-Suite exec, and it's scary.

Thank you, John.
So clearly explained. Thank you too for the support notes. I'm about to go looking for more of your tutorials.
Awesome, thank you! I love MS Teams!

Thank you. Did i got correctly that the only person able to download a meeting report (list of attendees) is an organizer and it can not be changed.
You are correct. Only the meeting Organizer can download the attendance report.
How can I record breakout rooms in teams?
Thank You!
You're welcome!
Is there a setting when attendee can not be able to see who is in the lobby?
Thank you for the video. I have one question. Can the presenter create break-out rooms during the meeting?
Right now only the organizer can do breakout rooms.
@@ChrisMenardTraining Thank you for your reply.
Thanks a lot
You are welcome. Thank you, Happy katele.
Excellent! Thanks!
You're welcome!
@Chris , a quick question; CAN A PRESENTER create BREAK OUT rooms? Or only the organizer?
Hope you can shed light on this for me PLEASE

*Appoint breakout rooms managers*
If you're the meeting organizer, you can delegate presenters to manage the meeting's breakout rooms.
Breakout rooms managers can:
Add and delete rooms
Assign and reassign participants to rooms
Open and close rooms
Join any rooms
Set time limits for room sessions
Send announcements
Recreate rooms
*Important* : Only one person can manage a meeting's breakout rooms at a time.
*Appoint managers before the meeting*
Go to your Teams calendar and open the meeting invite.
Go to Breakout rooms and select Room settings Settings button.
Switch the Assign presenters to manage rooms toggle on.
Select Search for presenters and choose who you want to be breakout rooms managers.
Thanks! I needed this for a meeting I organized later today.
Glad to help. Thanks, Jennifer.

What if we have someone as an organizer that was not meant to be one
Only the person that schedules the meeting is the organizer. Other people from your company are presenters.
That’s terrible that only the organizer can pull an attendance sheet. Those who take minutes or notes need to know too.
Microsoft is working on a co-organizer feature. I'm not sure when it will be out, but this should solve this issue.
@@ChrisMenardTraining I heard even the co organizer can’t pull attendance. It has to be the organizer.

Hi, thanks a lot :) It helped. But if I make someone attendee will he be attendee even another appointment? Or the role will change?
Can an attendee be made a co-organizer and then can that co-organizer download the attendance roster?
Only the meeting organizer can download the attendance report.

such a helpful video, can a presenter control breakout rooms as well as the organiser?
I have the same question
This is now out of date, you can have multiple organisers
Attendees can not spotlight
