I didn't want my comment to sound as though, I'm assuming Lindsey doesn't have the agency to think for herself. I'm sure she does. But as you're alluding to, the music industry can be such a brutal business. I really hope, she has the right people around her, to protect her.

Since you gettin producers on now you definitely need to try and get DJ Quik.Quik makes 70's style music in hip hop music and you can feel the warmth in it.The only producer who can drop an album and its like a fresh breathe of air and makes you wanna automatically get up and dance.You'll get so much info talkin bout music with him

The reason why music gets a bad rap is because people take music real. They are able to take movies and books as entertainment, but music is received differently.
Motion picture and music have a way of tapping into the emotions of the human experience that feels authentic. Even in movies, the music played brings listeners into a moment in time, like a reference to catalog of a period in one's life, and then you layer that with emotions, feelings, etc. that the artist conveys to the listeners. It's interesting they talked about being brought closer to God because the intent of gospel music was to sing authentic to the most high in praise and worship. Soul music origins comes from the chords, rifts, etc. of gospel but translated to a secular audience. Some in the black church were not to kind to those artists because the subjects were talking about God, but in a way the music indirectly allowed for those feelings and emotions to be sparked which is another way to praise for the most high.
That's really kool. It's enjoyable to see your growth & recognition. Being passionate about something goes a long way. I will continue to support you Lindsey!!
