This Deftones Album (White Pony) was a very big part of my childhood. It is still one of the best albums ever made. If you like a good song with a visceral female vocal work you should really give Cult of Luna's Cygnus a try! July Christmas did godlike work on that themed album with the band. Have a nice day and keep on delivering greatness! Much love from austria
White Pony is a masterpiece and a pinnacle for an entire generation; worked at GC and the younger guys raved about Deftones, I hadn't really payed attention to them but bought Pony just to hear what the fuss was about, WOW! No other band like them
Very interesting your explanation about the drums. Very in-depth commentaries. As someone posted before, it would be nice to hear your thoughts on the band Isis. Garden of light or Pliable Foe are nice choices
I disagree- the first two albums were bamanas- but amputechture was a garbled mess that three different guitarists ejaculated all over. No songs, no structure to the leads- just a noodles mess without any room to breathe..
I was unaware that this type of music existed at such a high level of production until I heard Knife Party. And then White Pony completely blew me away. Genius always finds a way.
Mr Geebz! Im new to your channel and I'm loving it! Could I suggest a reaction that people might not think of straight away that is Chino Morenos side project "Team Sleep". The female vocalist is Rodleen Getsic. But the style is very similar to Diamanda Galas who has been performing for three plus decades. Even did an album with John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin.
Gotta love Deftones! Each vid you give out for 'em, I just HAVE TO ask for something from _Koi No Yokan!_ _Tempest_ is a hit single from that album, and _Entombed_ is a song that will change your entire perspective on Deftones as a band for (I'm assuming) how little you have heard from them, Geebz. Please do give them a try, and while you're there, listen to the whole album! It is my fav from Deftones and really brings forth a change in their sound to me. _Gore_ has a similar sound, but is somewhat forgettable towards the end of the album, but _Ohms_ is a stellar album that came out recently.
Lots of talk about Abe in the comments, and they are spot on, but Jesus H., Chino is an absolute God who lives in a different dimension of sound. His ear hears tones no one else in music can hear and then perform with such soul. Absolutely captivating emotionally. I have no idea how to even describe what he does to a non-listener.

I have always loved the Deftones, and this CD and song are so powerful. It's an experience!
Only album ever created that Rises above the captivation level of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon." These two album are untouchable in my mind. Space, experimentation, emotion and timelessness.
yesssss thank you geebz!!
White Pony cd plays on a loop in my truck, I have an older truck, and I still listen and buy cds. Deftones is life for this 35 YO wife and mother.
Deftones concerts are AMAZING!! We went last year, best concert ever!
If from now until the end of your channel, you just kept doing Deftones, Tool, Gojira, and Contortionist breakdowns I would be 100% content.
Aloha! Love me some Deftones! White Pony is just a flat out amazing album! RIP Chi.
Requesting a breakdown of my favorite "H" bands.
Hum and Helmet.
Awwright! 🤙
Should totally do Entombed by Deftones next!
I'm so glad you did this track. In the soundtrack of my life, Deftones are #1. Now please do Hexagram. Awwwright!
Honestly one of the best Deftones tracks. It just evokes so much emotion. I feel like their more recent releases just don't hit the same way at all.
i think gore was pretty mid, but Ohms is a really solid album
Omg YES. 🤩 I really love your videos, and your openness to your viewers' suggestions.
An absolute favorite of mine! 🤘🏾
Deftones forever man. Be Quiet and Drive maybe next....
Beauty School is def one of favs to listen to and play on guitar
Yessss! Great song and great album. They mentioned that HUM was an influence on their sound for this album. So maybe check out “Isle of the Cheetah” or something else (“Afternoon With the Axolotls”) from the Downward is Heavenward album soon?
The Mars Volta decomposed. Pick any song.. They're all amazing
I disagree- the first two albums were bamanas- but amputechture was a garbled mess that three different guitarists ejaculated all over. No songs, no structure to the leads- just a noodles mess without any room to breathe..
Swerve City, Romantic Dreams, Entombed all by the Deftones. GREAT songs that I think you'd dig!
The girl singing is Rodleen Getsic. The drummer is Abe Cunningham. Both legendary.
My God... I love this band so much!!! More deftones please... and some love for METALLICA dude!
Would love to hear your take on acid bath- the blue.
I was unaware that this type of music existed at such a high level of production until I heard Knife Party. And then White Pony completely blew me away. Genius always finds a way.
Your reaction channel is my fav man
I appreciate that
Mr Geebz! Im new to your channel and I'm loving it!
Could I suggest a reaction that people might not think of straight away that is Chino Morenos side project "Team Sleep". Their song Your skull is red from the live at Woodstock session (with a video) is my number one gummy bear track of all time!
Much respect and appreciation for your work 😌🤙 AWWWLRIGHT!!
Have been listening to them for 20 yrs now, one of the greatest alternative bands ever graced the earth.
YES! White Pony is such an amazing album! This is such a underrated song for Deftones. 💕💕💕 You should check out Deftones Diamond Eyes, Feiticeira or Digital Bath
+1 for Digital Bath. Had this album on repeat during July of 2000, and always had a soft spot for track 2 of the original release.
Yay! My favorite Deftones song. The drums are everything
That drum being singled out with the vocals is the best part. always get goosebumps
Deftones haven't ceased to amaze me since 1993 when I was 15. Now, I have a 15 year old son that's figuring them out for himself. Warms my heart.
Gotta love Deftones. Such a unique sound! Please react to Vola - Head Mounted Sideways, such an underrated band!
Hell yes. I was going to suggest VOLA. I'll just add Alien shivers as another good song to react to.
Yes to Vola!
The female vocalist is Rodleen Getsic. But the style is very similar to Diamanda Galas who has been performing for three plus decades. Even did an album with John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin.
Abe doesn't f*ck around! RIP Chi
Abe Cunningham is an extremely underrated drummer. Love him
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! I requested (as I’m sure many others did) and you have delivered. Keep Deftones coming.
My mind, body & soul are touched every time I listen to Deftones and I Have to listen to them a couple of times per week...
