What a small world! I've got an 02' RSX Type S & I was looking into swapping my old head unit out for one with Android Auto! Any thoughts on the radio?
What is diffrenec between the ddx5707s and the ddx 57s. I bought the ddx57s from crutchfield . They both are same price and I can't find any diffence at all between the two.i did notice a little lag in your video of the ddx 5707s and none on the ddx57s
I bought this stereo and it was working fine - then started to shut off when I had it too loud and now it will go months without turning on, turn on for like 20 min and shut off again - any idea on what’s going on?
I personally can’t speak for the processors, but I’m in the same boat. As far as I know DDX9707S has wireless capabilities, but has a resistive touchscreen instead of the 5707’s capacitive. You can also compare them on Crutchfield and see their reviews.
How is it going, I install this yesterday and Apple CarPlay seems to work for only 10 minutes then it shuts off the only way it works again is if I shut down the entire car and turn it back on. what should I do?
Ok try a couple things 1. Make sure your using a white apple cable 2. Make sure your phone has the latest software 3. You can see if there is an update for that radio yet but more than likely not. 4. If not call Kenwood support. They will walk you though any issue that comes up and are really good. Here’s the number (800) 843-6124 Hope that helps!
I think you still can with this newer model, you will have to use the usb connection and get into the customization area by the button pressing on the left. i believe you have to be in standyby mode, then press upper left twice lower left twice upper left once and lower left once then follow your screen.
I have a cadillac dts with bose i was going to replace the head unit with this and add 2 12's with 1200 watt amp and capacitor. Would this be good for this ?
Yeah this would be good. Are you going to be using a 4 channel amp for the front and rear speakers or are you going to try to use the Bose amp? If your going to be using the Bose amp what year is the Cadillac?? You might need a special Bose adapter.
@@BreakersStereo I have a 4 channel alpine amp but I was going to stick with the bose unless you think I should use the alpine 4 channel. The year is 2011
Put the image file you want to use on a usb stick and plug it into the usb on the receiver. Navigate to the display settings and you should now have the option to set the user select backgrounds to the images you have on the usb stick.
@@juandelgado269 Doesn't have to do with cheating. Has to do with not so nice communications between myself and ex regarding custody. But thanks for your insight and assumptions.
@@Jonesing1000 Usually when you get a message on CarPlay it displays the persons name and says they sent a message but does not actually read you the message unless you tap on it. Hope this helps!
Go to your phone setting when it's plugged in and take off message permission. I just go mine installed on my tundra and it's bad ass. I wanted to stop it from showing phone calls but that feature is a no go.
This stereo brought new life into my rsx with Bose. Sounds so good now!

This answer is 8 months late, sorry. But from my research the DDX5707S is an updated version of the DDX57S (discontinued)
Car play only works throughout a wired connection???
Is there a adapter to bypass your parking break to where I can play DVD and all while driving???
Just ground the parking brake wire to body or a ground will work while you driving

Yes yku do. I just got mine installed and it's bad ass. 202 Toyota Tundra crew max
On amazon it comes with the backup camera for free

Mine will not keep right time. It sets back a couple hours everytime I turn truck off. What causes this?
Look for a setting in radio setup called RDS CT. It’s trying to get the time from a radio signal.
