  • Vito, a 6-year-old Poodle mix, experienced a sudden onset of pain that eventually rendered him unable to walk. His parents acted promptly, taking him to Southeast Veterinary Neurology for evaluation, where an MRI uncovered a slipped disk in his lower back.
Under the expert care of the compassionate team at Southeast Veterinary Neurology, Vito successfully regained the ability to walk. This video sheds light on the importance of recognizing early signs of discomfort in pets and the crucial role specialized veterinary care plays in their well-being.

What a lucky dog to have such caring owners.

I am going through my second IVDD surgery with my standard dachshund. I'm so happy to see that Vito recovered and is doing well. It's so very traumatic to go through. It does take a village to see our pets and ourselves through this.

We didn't know either. Our dog was stage 1. We passed on MRI and opted for medical management (, conservative treatment) and 8 weeks crate/pen rest. He recovered thankfully. Our regular vet and nuerologist have been incredible. It's horrible to watch, but pups can be helped!
