I can vouch for that. I just got fitted with the TSR2. This was compared directly to the Aerojet and Ping drivers, and the TSR2 numbers on the Trackman blew the rest away. I will say, Titleist has always been consistent with my club swing and game - just a personal disclaimer, not putting down other premium or solid club makes.
Titleist is a top contender in every category. They’re the most well rounded clubs all around and rule the golf ball market as well. My favorite part is that they don’t rush a release every year or throw all sorts of designs and colors all over the driver/wood heads. It’s a simple look
Switched to the TSR2 from many years of different Ping Drivers no matter what else was in the bag, and for me while the Pings have always been fairway finders the TSR just flat out performed the Ping with the same amount of forgiveness but much more manageable spin numbers...tried several different at my fitting (Rogue, Stealth, Cobra, and Tour Exotics) but as far as a "Total Package" nothing compared to the TSR2 for me!
Just got fit into the tsr2 gained 7 yards total distance and 12 yards carry with a slower swing speed. So far i love it i had picked up a paradym before the tsr2 and i just wasnt getting along with it so made the switch and so far im grateful i did.
I just got a TSR2 driver but can't hit it until August due to rotator cuff surgery. Was gaming the TSI3 but needed more forgiveness on off center hits. Looking forward to July when I'm all healed up and can get back out on the course!
The TM shaft isn’t the right fit so the extra 500rpm explains the distance difference. The most important takeaway from this comparison is how good the TSR2 is on toe strikes. Mike did a great job on swinging consistently. If your miss tends to be on the toe, TSR2 is awesome.
Titanium drivers last for years, carbon eventually breaks, which means you will be buying replacement drivers every few years. The number of broken carbon drivers Ive seen is crazy.
@Harry Frates Just bought a TS 2 for my son....was about to pull the trigger on any of the Cobras since f9 and then my brain kicked in..."it will not end well". Ping or Titleist is an investment...the rest is below par. I am annoyed, lost lots of money on drivers out of warranty.
I did a driver fitting and it came down to these two. Virtually identical with specs but I chose the Tsr2 because I drive it 7 more yards and honestly, I like the classic black look of the Titleist.
I have always played Taylormade and Callaway drivers but I was fit into the TSR3 5 months ago and I absolutely love it! The TSR3 and TSR2 are both amazing clubs but the TSR3 just kept my spin down just a bit more. They look, sound, and feel incredible. The ball speeds are second to none. I went and tested the Stealth 2, Paradym, Aerojet, and G430 a few weeks ago just out of curiosity. The only one to come anywhere close was the Paradym, but it still didn't give me the same ball speeds.
I have played Titleist for last 10 years or so. I lost respect for TaylorMade when they painted the woods white , funny how that doesn't work anymore......
@@mikepxg6406 lol Ive been using the taylormade RBz (the green one) for the last 10 years and finally upgraded to the TSr2, going from the blinding white top to the beautiful black gloss on the Titleist and i couldnt be more satisfied. Used to always like taylormade but its a new era of drivers and the TSr series are the perfect blend of class and quality.
Titleist TSR2 is probably the best all round driver this year. The big difference here is the CG of the TSR is more forward than the Stealth2 and that is where you get better energy transfer and less spin.
The TSR2 is the best looking club in its class, and I think most drivers today have a little too much draw bias, the Titleist is just straight and very long
Video was confirmation bias for me. I demo'ed the Stealth 2 against my Tour Edge E722. Tour Edge was longer and more accurate. (16 handicap, 92 mph swing speed). I think the whole carbon face market push right now is a gimmick and will fade away in a few years. Titanium is still king. Golf equipment seasons go through fads like women's clothes fashions.
Just put the TSR2 in the bag (11 degree loft - 55g Mitsubishi stock shaft) and it is pretty darned good. Indeed, love the forgiveness. Thanks for your comparison, Michael.
I got the TSR2 driver for the same reason. It helped reduce my spin more so than other clubs, but also the best in off center hits. The runners up where the Stealth 2 and Aerojet.
Just tried the TSR2 3 wood yesterday and easily gained over 30 yards compared to my old wood. Also got fitted for a TSR2 driver last year and it’s been incredible, even for a novice player like myself.
@@SteelTiiTan I think it's actually 250 micronanosuper "forged" titanium found by Elon Musk on Mars with guarantee to add 1 mph in ballspeed vs carbonwood... Seen it on the 2025 Taylormade roadmap
Hey Michael I have been in the market for a new driver and I would really love to see a video comparison of Stock 9 loft vs 10.5 loft then 9 turned to 10.5 vs 10.5 turned to 9. Specifically if you would consider showing this with the g430 that would be really awesome. I can't seem to find a video comparing this.
I have TSR3 and it is a bomber. I hope Titleist never goes Carbon route becaust the TSR3 is the purest most consistent feeling driver I have ever played. Titleist all day. I used to play Taylormade M1 2017.
Agree. Carbon feels wonky to me. And it seems that for all the weight savings they claim, neither TM nor Cally outperform the Titleists, Srixons or G430 Max. I am looking forward to hitting the new LST to see what Ping can do with it though...
TSR2 is the best, most forgiving driver I’ve ever had. High smash factor literally all across the face. TSR3 I have tried but just doesn’t work for me, noticeably less forgiving on off centre hits.
This was an intersting comparison. Latest tech with the Stealth 2 vs standard / traditional looking Titleist. Titleist wins. A teaching pro told me the Ts line of drivers are the best out there at the moment.
I think the carbon drivers are very fragile. My PXG 3W and my sons driver both have nice dents…I’ve never dented a wood in my life until these. Oh well back to Titlelist!
@@doughirsch9930 You should contact Taylor Made or maybe the retailer you bought from. I have heard that TM has replaced some damaged drivers. One was a reviewer on UA-cam where the face flew off during his review!
After playing a 2026 M2 for 2 seasons, I was recently custom fit for a TSR2. Also Compared it to standard Paradym & G430 max and TSR2 had the highest smash factor, ball speed and carry. And best sound/feel out of all of them. Titleist nailed this one ! I’ve watched all their TSR R&D vids and they went top notch with quality and design. Great video Mike !! Although I did not hit Stealth 2 this Solidifies my decision that TSR2 is the best one for me.
No TM stealth for me - face epoxy issues! stick with the sim2 driver. always thought Titliest were a tad snobby as where i live you can't get a online pricing on any of their gear - you have to get a email quote. They also rarely have specials unless new gear is being released. Mind you ping are the same with their clubs.
I’m keen to know if the Stealth 2 is more forgiving than the Stealth. I’ve not been totally comfortable with the Stealth. I blame the pilot, most range sessions I hit it well - on the course it’s a real mixed bag, but it seems like you only have to be slightly off to get poor results. So much choice in new drivers this year, I really can’t decide what to test 🤔
Just tested trs2 and the stealth trs2 for me the stealth felt dead when I hit the ball trs2 felt awesome to hit I wanted to hit more with trs2 than the stealth
I’ve been a TaylorMade guy my whole life, I walked in to the golf store to buy a sim 2 max or stealth. Bought the sim 2 max returned it the next day to get the stealth. I decided to at least try a TSI2 vs the stealth on the simulator but had my heart still set on the stealth. I left that day with the TSI2…
Why everybody don't like the Stealth 2.? I just bought the Stealth 2 over TSr2. Why?? Well because I thought it looked beautiful. Don't get me wrong, TSr2 looks good too but I ultimately chose the Stealth2.
Last 10 years I’ve played ping drivers simply for the forgiveness which is second to none but playing tsr2 this year as ball speed is impressive and lost nothing in terms of forgiveness
Would be interesting to see someone like me, 8 handicap, do the same test. To see if someone who isn’t as consistent a ball striker as you, gets comparable results.
It's funny how the 'clear winner' in all of your 'clear winner' tests is always Titleist. Cos the TSR drivers are beasts!
I can vouch for that. I just got fitted with the TSR2. This was compared directly to the Aerojet and Ping drivers, and the TSR2 numbers on the Trackman blew the rest away. I tested both & whilst I hit them both well, the TSR2 Driver won the battle for me. 1st change away from TaylorMade drivers for me & can’t be happier
Had my TSR2 in the bag for a few months and absolutely love hitting drives with it. Tour AD shaft makes a big difference too.
Thank you for showing strike locations. Extremely helpful.

Just did the same, really happy with the switch! TSR is a monster, yet still very forgiving
Great review. I just went TS2. I picked it up on a whim the other day. Shot feel like butter.

Great test. Titleist wins the day again. It’s a great driver and very forgiving as well. I love it. It is also a low spinning driver in my opinion
I've been a 2016 M1 guy for over 5 years, but the new TSR looks intriguing. Can't wait to test the tsr2 and 3!
Just bought the TSR2 this morning. Performed very well
Carbon will go soft and break down after a while. Bought my son TSR 1,grandson a 3 fitted by Titiest ,very happy with birthday pressy,

Titleist which is probably why I am gaming the TSR2 which is the most forgiving and longest driver I have owned

Tsr2 vs Ping G430 Max next 👍
i found the stealth more forgiving, but liked the sound better on the TSR.. both great drivers
That's an Ass Kicking ... I play the TSi3 and will hit the TSr2 and consider a switch
went from tsi3 to tsr2, lower spin, higher ballspeeds, more forgiving. just an absolute beast
I think I may go try out the TSR2, get my specs, then buy a gently used one in two years to replace my current Radspeed XB driver, which I’m enjoying.
I got the Tsi4 and will never change again unless it breaks which titelist is know for. 👍

Titleist every time

One of your best driving days, and Titleist won this one. Makes you wonder if too much is made of carbon bodies, and in TM's case driver face too.
