What a sweet Grandad! I’m not a barber, would like to be after my kids get into school, but I cut my Grandad’s hair and I love spending the time with him and making him feel fresh. I do his ears and eyebrows as well. Its good to see another young person taking care of their older generation 🖤

This is probably one of my favorite videos so far. Great information on scissor cutting. I always have a hard time with these because I'm so used to doing skin/short fades. Also, the family aspect of this warms my heart. Cheers.

I have never cut hair before in my life. I used this video for cutting my husband's hair and it came out so good! Everyone was amazed including me. It was a pandemic haircut and he liked it better then the barber shop he had been going to. Thanks so much for a great video!

Yes! I’d love to see more clients that are older at different stages of thinning. Seeing how to approach the hair in different phases of life is really helpful and refreshing. I would also love to see more children’s cuts. I’m a big fan of a good scissor cut! They grow out so well and you avoid the awkward stages when the buzzed hairs push outward before they finally relax onto the head. I would love to see more everyday people on Beardbrand getting utilitarian haircuts that are inspired by the clients natural hair growth and the contours of their face. The cherry on top is that he brought family in, very sweet. This was a good one 👍

Great video and really nice to see a grandson taking care of his grandfather. I used to cut my dad's hair 1-2 times a month, but moved a little over a year ago. He now gets cut by my friend/barber since I moved, as I had to make sure he stays fresh.

This is one of my favourite Beardbrand vids! Very nice cut and the personel aspect makes it even greater. This sweet old man looked so humble and happy! Caring for the older generations is something we all should put more effort into (im in the 20s btw).

Thank you so much for this video! I had to give my grandfather a Corona quarantine haircut with my dog grooming shears. It was terrifying. Haha! Because of your video, my grandpa didn’t look like a golden retriever. It wasn’t a great cut, but it was passable considering the circumstances.
We miss you talented stylists so much right now! Y’all definitely do a MUCH better job. Hair cutting requires a LOT of technique, skill and artistry which takes a lot of time and work to build. You did a fantastic job on your grandfather. Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for this! My dad hasn't had his hair cut since probably February and we were to the point of starting a ponytail or me cutting it. I've cut my own hair for ever but never cut anyone else's, let alone a man's. I've watched this video about a dozen times. It didn't come out this well, of course, but not bad for my first try!!

great video the amount of barbers who apply for a job in my shop and have no clue how to do a traditional scissor cut! what are they teaching these days at college. some gents do not like the trimmers either si its a complete haircut with scissors only thinners at a push colleges should take note that in the curicillum there should be more teaching in scissor cuts not every haircut is a skin fade a good scissor cut technique will last the test of time! so many different techniques you can use i personally like the ear to ear sectioning method i takes 5 mins to complete the back cut around the ears then 90 degress at the sides! i have this technique down to a fine art as it incorporates an element of hairdressing into the cut! Every barber works differently ofcourse as long as the finished product is good great video the gentlman looked dapper so well done! very intuative for beginner barbers :)
I’m sure they teach them the technique, it’s just that young men love learning and practicing fades
@@uzmam2612 they do but the fades are priority I would employ someone who could do a proper scissor cut over a skin fade any day thr skin fade will die off proper scissor cuts won’t

You make it look so easy, I cut my dad's hair he did talk to me for two weeks , I think it was a great job using the guide method to get it even, he had different view thinking it's uneven, Don't he is going let anywhere near his hair in future, There goes my hair cutting dreams, I think I keep my day job.

Thanks for that tip on how to remove that weight on the parietal ridge. I just gave my gramps a cut and I was having trouble with that. I had to use a straight razor to blend it in.
