    Very technical! I figured it out 10 seconds into the video lol. I work for a former TCM dealer and now a Unicarriers dealer we work on the k21 and k25s all day. Those plastic sensors are the old sensors we usually replace them with the metal barrel type when they go bad.

    I would nt worry not for a split of a second about compression or timing when an intermittent start occur . Also I must admit that I would miss this deep analysis of camshaft sensor waveform .Excellent video !

      Hello.
      What kind of oscilloscope do you use when checking the signal from the sensor.

    Great engine.
    These will run on just 1 cylinder, I know this to be true as I've done it myself.

    Hey I've recently done a head gasket job on an old nissan h25 engine was previously running but was rough and sputtered sorted the head gasket out I skimmed the head and did the valves and seats new seals the lot come to put it all back together runs and idles lovely gets to about 3/4 revs and starts to die out like it's got no fuel or its missing ive gone back and checked everything the spark plugs are working the plug lines are working the dizzy is doing its thing one thing i have noticed tho is the lpg regulator i assume gets instantly cold which i assume is normal i work on diesel engines I can't get my head around it any ideas just found your UA-cam channel

    • @forkliftgeek10
      @forkliftgeek10  Рік тому

      The regulator should not.get cold. Make sure that the coolant lines to the regulator are connected properly.

    • @lifeofderv
      @lifeofderv Рік тому

      @forkliftgeek10 yes all connected as I had them but just gets freezing cold as you can see it freeze the water going into it from the head side is red hot but the regulator is freezing cold is it all run through the engines coolant does the regulator help cool the engine coolant ? When I'm back Monday I'm going to have a look as I suspect either the thermostat has failed and not letting the coolant into the bottom hose of the radiator and isn't letting it rev up high or the regulator pipe is sluged up and not giving enough gas to the carb maybe ?

    • @forkliftgeek10
      @forkliftgeek10  Рік тому

      The coolant actually keeps the lpg from freezing. The lpg is kept liquid inside the tank because it is pressurized. The regulator drops it to about 2 psi in the primary chamber. Because of the sudden drop in pressure the temperature also drops. If coolant is at the correct level in the radiator, and all connections are.correct. then the regulator is probably faulty.

    • @lifeofderv
      @lifeofderv Рік тому

      Could it be an issue of low coolant or a blocked thermostat when it ran it got hot fairly quick fan was running hose at the top was hot but the bottom hose felt cold almost like it had no coolant in the bottom hose would this cause an issue with the running as I say it runs and drives lovely until you get to the top end of the revs and just dies off it won't cut out its just almost goes back to idling speed

    • @forkliftgeek10
      @forkliftgeek10  Рік тому

      That sound like coolant not circulating. The lpg regulator coolant circuit does not wait for the thermostat to open though. It sounds like you have air in the system. Did you bleed the system?

      The nissan K21 with the hitachi controller can be accessed with an OBD2 scanner ( Not all pids are avaialble) manufactured 2007 and above.

    Hey! I've been watching your videos trying to figure out a problem with my K21 Nissan Forklift to no avail. It was used a day prior to it not starting again. I changed out the fuel injector and changed out the crankshaft sensor and it started for 5 seconds and I turned it off. Next time I tried to start it and now it is not starting at all. I changed out the vaporizer as well. Do you know what else it could be? I've seen that you have a video on it possibly being the timing tensioner being worn and skipping the timing. Any help will be appreciated! @forkliftgeek10

      A faulty MAF sensor signal could also produce a no start and a faulty cam sensor signal would also produce a no start.

      @@forkliftgeek10 Thank you, just got those two sensors changed out with brand new ones and still nothing! I'm about to be pulling my hair out soon. Now its a New Camshaft Sensor, MAF sensor, Crankshaft Sensor, Fuel Injector, sparkplugs, and vaporizer. It's not throwing any codes either on the dash for whatever reason.

    • @forkliftgeek10
      @forkliftgeek10  9 місяців тому

      @markkaras3809 ok. Let's start with the basics, does it have spark? Spaek must be able to jump out of coil 3/4 of an inch. If not I'm chasing ignition. Turn off tank, does it start with brake clean into the intake? Does it have an even cranking sound? What is the vacuum when cranking? Must be at least 3 to 5 inches of Hg. Higher that that means there is an intake restriction. Close to 0 vacuum might suggest a vacuum leak or throttle is wide open.
