Some of the Michael mystique was loss with Michael teaming up with Corey. It made sense that if Michael was so weakened after hiding and injury, he needed a partner, yet the motiveless Shape was made more human, and therefore less inevitable by it.
Fans will find more twists in this movie than in most of the other Halloween movies combined. Purists probably won't love this movie as much as fans who just want a Halloween movie without previous formulas.
Allyson is a good actress especially during the dramatic scenes, but H-Ends probably closes out her role in the franchise instead of passing Allyson the baton. The chemistry between Allyson and Corey didn't seem real though.

They tried to so desperately to be "artsy" with this trilogy, but it only came off as pretentious and badly written. And the way they disrespected Michael in this just shows how much they really didn't care this time around. Especially the ending. My God, that ending. This should've never been a trilogy, honestly. Halloween 2018 was great; the last two movies were trash.

I did not expect such a resolute and non-retconable ending to close out the trilogy.
I read about an ending in the junkyard where they hook Michael up to trucks and rip him apart.

I have to watch H-Ends a second time to see how I actually feel about it. It was more of a alt-Michael Myers film than a true Michael Myers' story.

Terrible movie. Terrible opening credits. Terrible epic final battle. Doesn’t deserve to be called Halloween.
