Description:
This is Laurie Strode’s last stand.
After 45 years, the most acclaimed, revered horror franchise in film history reaches its epic, terrifying conclusion as Laurie Strode faces off for the last time against the embodiment of evil, Michael Myers, in a final confrontation unlike any captured on-screen before. Only one of them will survive.
Icon Jamie Lee Curtis returns for the last time as Laurie Strode, horror’s first “final girl” and the role that launched Curtis’ career. Curtis has portrayed Laurie for more than four decades now, one of the longest actor-character pairings in cinema history. When the franchise relaunched in 2018, Halloween shattered box office records, becoming the franchise’s highest-grossing chapter and set a new record for the biggest opening weekend for a horror film starring a woman.
Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell; The Hardy Boys, Virgin River), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.
Halloween Ends co-stars returning cast Will Patton as Officer Frank Hawkins, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace and James Jude Courtney as The Shape.
From the creative team that relaunched the franchise with 2018’s Halloween and Halloween Kills, the film is directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay by Paul Brad Logan (Manglehorn), Chris Bernier (The Driver series), Danny McBride and David Gordon Green, based on characters created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. Halloween Ends is produced by Malek Akkad, Jason Blum and Bill Block. The executive producers are John Carpenter, Jamie Lee Curtis, Danny McBride, David Gordon Green, Ryan Freimann, Ryan Turek, Andrew Golov, Thom Zadra and Christopher H. Warner.
The story felt like one of the stories from the scripts mentioned in the Taking Shape book; where you'd catch yourself thinking "that was an interesting and fun read but I'm glad they didn't go that direction"
That's exactly what I thought. Like this was a script someone came up with but didn't make it into a movie.
I liked the movie for what it was the Corey Michael story which felt like the most interesting aspect of the film the Laurie vs Michael stuff wasn't what the film was about and for that, the flick is going to suffer from fan expectations but after I accepted the movie for the story it was I enjoyed it but wanted more Michael. Not a masterpiece but overall enjoyable for what it is but should have just been its own Halloween movie not connected to the trilogy.
I wish this movie went any direction besides the one they took lol.
Exactly! But…..they actual did go that direction
Yep
I'm seeing it at 5. EVIL DIES TONIGHT! (Maybe. We'll see)
Samhain!
Michael does die

@@Kai-ht7yj Oh I know because I watched the movie
I've never been more perplexed trying to figure out how I feel about a Halloween movie.
It was horrible. Michael Myers turned out to be Mickey Mouse.
Yes, this guy's excitement and enthusiasm makes me think he watched a different movie than I did..
How much did Universal pay this guy for a positive review? 😂
Hearing that the cinematography is stronger in this film is definitely the thing that has me hyped the most. Like, the previous two films already were already beautifully shot, so the fact that they double down on that just makes me more excited.
all things aside this movie from a cinematic standpoint is the best of the trilogy.
Too bad everything else is weak.
@Cheating Scooby Doo Eh, it's alright.
Given the track record of this clusterfuck of a franchise it could've gone a lot worse.
At least Michael isn't engaging on incest, p*do shit anymore unlike Curse.

This movie is readily available on the web. Even if you can download it for free don't, its not worth the electricity. It's so bad I cant even put it into words. In order for the coffin dodger Laurie Strode to get the better of Michael, he's become totally devoid of any intelligence, and suddenly his strikes couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. And the final fight where MM is all over her, doing lots of the Hollywood throw across the room, yet failing to deliver the final blow. She somehow managed to out wrestles him, and beat him on physical strength "I shit you not". And the doppelganger plot, Holy fucking shit. It's purely there so they can have a predictably fake Michael death with 25 mins of the thing still to go. I'm actually embarrassed for JLC for agreeing to be in this.
I feel absolutely robbed as a die hard Halloween fan. Like how you going to END Halloween like that??? An hour and 15 minute run time with 6 minutes and 32 seconds of Micheal footage... I'm actually depressed I've waited 3 years since they accounced they were doing a trilogy for this thing to come out. This was such a bummer and such a let down. 😔 thanks for doing all you have done covering the films since 2018, I've always appreciated the content you put out covering everything. Your promotional videos for Ends are way better then the actual movie. I just don't get how you can go from Kills which was absolutely bad ass (other then Evil dies tonight) to this crappy ending.... I just feel robbed.
Its like if No Time To Die had been about a new female agent the entire movie with cameos by James Bond and then suddenly Bond shows up at the end and dies. But people can't seem to see the absurdity of this in the Halloween movies. Especially being the LAST part of a trilogy, its dumb to start a new character.
@@HealthHorror dude I completely agree 1000% and honestly I probably could have taken to Corey's character a little more if they would have put him in the other movies. Like I've watched ends 4 times since it came out. 3 of which I started 3/4's of the way through the movie. It's been 2 months and I'm STILL bummed how they went about doing this.
@@ZiggyTrippz Sad thing is, they don't score off of merit anymore. If it makes money they keep throwing more money at these terrible filmmakers to make more garbage. David Gordon Green is now directing the Exorcist reboot and he has his hands in the new Hellraiser series. Some moron who does comedy can suddenly come into the horror world and start destroying beloved franchises, cas it makes money. Nobody cares about meaning or purpose or passion anymore.
Jimmy, I really enjoy your channel. I love your spirit, enthusiasm, and knowledge that you bring to this channel, and the Halloween universe.
No spoilers here as well. I have to say though, I’m pretty shocked at how much you liked this. I can honestly say, I have never been more let down than I was watching this movie. I still cannot believe that everyone involved in this project, thought this was a good way to go out.
I would like to say that I will try to watch it again to see if I like it any better, but I cannot get through that hour and 51 minute debacle a second time. The one point you made that I agree with, and pretty much says it all, is that Michael is hardly in this. A couple quick scenes and then the final sequence.
I guess my last point would be, 4 writers usually is a recipe for disaster, and for me, that’s quite evident here.
Again, respect you sir and really enjoy your channel. I’m 50 and I’ve been a huge Halloween fan since I was 10. This was not anywhere near what I hoped and thought it would be. Real shame.
Literally. Almost wish he didn’t share the fact he was invited to an early screening by the company as it shows why he probably “loved” it so much. This review literally felt like it was reaching for positive things to say. Not only was Michael barely in it, they completely disrespected him by turning him into a little bxtch. Flabbergasted
I completely agree. I just lost all respect I had for Jimmie. When I read the comments it seems a bunch of millennials and Gen Z’s are posting. Because if you’re a part of Gen X like me, there ain’t no way on earth you would like this movie. I have not one good thing to say about it.
Shilling is what you call it.
@@100fredkrueger aye aye now. I’m a millennial haha. But yeah this movie was just not it. As a Halloween movie. As a FINALE to a trilogy/saga. As just a movie in general. I wasn’t even all that big on the last 2 and this one makes them almost look like classics😅😬
@@jaysony8587facts thank you💯🎃
THAAAAANK YOU!!! I agree with u 💯%. I was worried going into it because of some other UA-camrs reviews but BOO to them, I loved ENDS.
I just got home from the theatre and I really enjoyed Ends. I know a lot of people moaned and groaned about this new Cory character but I feel he was handled pretty well . The one kill that had me laughing out loud was the radio DJ. Let’s just say i will never see a album play without that scene coming up.

1. So no Michael Myers scenes while looking for his mask which is stolen by Corey? If so, that sucks. If not, that's good.
2. What about Michael and Corey's kill count?
3. If there are Michael Myers scenes while he's looking for his mask, will they be like deleted scenes in the Theatrical Cut and extended scenes if there's an extended cut like in Halloween Kills?
Congrats man, we love your content. I'm seeing the movie Sunday, can't wait
Just got out of my matinee and I have to say I loved everything Lauren and Michael in this one. The other characters and stuff going on, I'm still digesting. But it's a pretty solid conclusion to this trilogy. Go see it, everyone! 🎃🔪🎥🍿
Can’t believe anyone would like this trash it shouldn’t even be called a Halloween movie
Thank you.
I saw it. They disrespected Michael
@@reggielacey2235 That’s an understatement
@@honestdad8944 Damn it you guys! Really? I haven't seen it yet
How much did they pay him to say that about the movie? 🤣
This movie was not good, the writers did not have enough ideas for a trilogy of Halloween movies, they were desperate to come up with something for this last one, so they just created a new character to replace Michel Myers for the first hour and 20 minutes of this movie. It was so unnecessary, and it ruined the end to the Halloween franchise. Michel Myers has 20 minutes of screen time, and he killed 2 people which was super disappointing. The whole thing where Corey looked at Michel and he became evil was so stupid and it felt so forced, like the writers were desperate to come up with something, and this was what we got. I am very disappointed with this movie.
Could not disagree more about the satisfaction of the final showdown. But love the positivity
Literally the only guys review I trust to watch before I go to see it. I make up my own mind but it's nice to get a sense of the general consensus.
Great work with your channel too, your a personal favourite of mine but that's because your talking about my interest 😂all well earned and deserved, keep it up 🎃👍🏻
Literally?
You shouldn't because this movie sucked
@@jamesanderson6373 Sure, why not?
we went from "uh you cant kill the boogeyman" to.. "evil dies tonight"... to Evil is a little bi*ch tonight. After watching the movie i lost all hope of new reboots in other series such as friday the 13th ,Noes etc
Bro what are you talking about?
“Everyone loves Halloween 3” ? No they don’t ha. Are you smoking? That movie is NOT a Halloween movie. It’s a thriller with the badge of Halloween. It’s like calling Robocop “High School Musical”
I heard this was gonna be like Halloween 3 and I’ll be doing a reaction on the channel this Saturday. I will rip it apart if it literally has zero to do with Michael or Laurie cos it’s NOT a Halloween movie is it.
What’s Next? A Nightmare On Elm Street , but it’s just about a bank heist and has ZERO to do with the franchise.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but it annoys me to no end how some have reacted to this movie. Hearing things like "So boring", "It's only exciting towards the end" etc. Man, the original was exactly that.....realistically it had very little Myers throughout, and only the last section is when you actually got a decent look at him. More story and less slasher. It's regarded as the all of the all, yet nowadays.....people can't handle actually paying attention, being patient for the final build. They just want mayhem, but, when that's what they get, they then complain there wasn't enough of a story. It's soooo frustrating. Having said that.....thank you for your consistent, honest and enjoyable reviews. This one is no exception.👌✌
SO happy for you dude. Just for the opportunity to go to a fucking Halloween premiere is insane! That's so cool for you!
Yeah. We need 2 hours of Corey going around creeping out Laurie. 🙄 Then remember that she has to fight Michael last second and rush it. Perfect writing. 👎🏻 Do you really think this was done well? These people need to go back to film school and learn storytelling. Do you really think Alyson would fall for an obviously troubled guy without ever questioning it, after she went through all she did with her mother and grandmother? And Laurie saying "I like seeing you" instead of just showing us how she feels about the deputy with an excited smile. They wrote this so lazily. This trilogy should have been one movie.
Hey Jimmy, me and best mate are watching ends on Sunday.... we're both tied down with family stuff and work so we're trying VERY hard to avoid ALL spoilers. Thanks for the spoiler free review. Love the channel.
Don’t even bother paying money
Solid review.
Totally agree.
I enjoyed what they did with the new character, Corey.
Definitely liked that Laurie got Michael. That felt good.
Wish Myers was featured more.
Just finished Halloween Ends and uhh...i really loved it. Feel like im alone lmao. Love the Corey stuff, love all the themes and symbolism.
Jimmy Champaign looks like he's being held Hostage by Michael Myers forced to say good things about the movie... lol 😂
I’m glad you like it 👍 I hated it and what they did with the story and subplots. It’s the FINAL movie so give me Michael being evil and Laurie being Laurie. Corey can go kick rocks 😂 Ends made me really love KILLS though 👍 ENDS is like the Rise of Skywalker of this trilogy.
It's nowhere near Rise of Skywalker but reminds me of Last Jedi more
@@JimmyChampane That's the best comparison. TLJ strayed too far from what people like and it ended up being reviled by everyone.
@@JimmyChampane how did you possibly love this movie? After what they did in 2018 and kills? They made our guy weak and he got bitched by a young dork? It’s ENDS and you barely get anything but 10 minutes of a fight very sad way to do Michael James was badass but now I’ll always remember being a old weak fragile man
@@joshwoods4528 because he got invited to the premier. So he is shilling hard for them. When they go to those premieres they get all kinds of stuff when they go. I unsubbed from Jimmy after this.
It’s great when folk like yourself who are passionate and delve into particular franchises as a FAN and not some payed corporate thing that it gets you recognised enough to be invited to a premier!… good work Mr, been watching your channel for a few months and you always have good content, keep up the good work!
(I liked the film.)
you've come a long way man, I subscribed way back when the Halloween hype train began in 2017- 2018
congrats to being able to see it at the premiere. your hard work you do for the community pays off!
I don't think slasher movies from a bygone era can ever have the same impact on the audience by way of remakes/ reinterpretations/ reboots as they did when they were first introduced to the public - even with the most inspired attempts. They can never grab viewers the same way they did in the late 70's/ 80's. Case in point, other failed attempts like the latest 'Chainsaw Massacre,' 'Nightmare on Elm Street,' Rob Zombie's 'Halloween,' 'Jeepers Creepers,' etc. Regrettably, I found 'Halloween Ends' also lackluster. I like certain elements from it's prequel like vintage scenes with Dr. Loomis being interwoven with newly shot footage so that they blend together as convincingly as if they were filmed at the same time. I thought that was inspired. Not much else I can add for the rest of the movie. This latest contribution to the franchise had me walking away feeling I had wasted my time. Maybe it's just my taste has evolved. In the meanwhile, I'll keep praying for more engaging movies like 'The Cursed,' 'Midsommer' and 'Hereditary.'
Some elements I enjoyed. One thing that felt unbalanced was that you literally want the people who die to die. There wasn’t a single person you feel compassionate toward, and the problem with that is it voids the tension. Still lots to enjoy if you go in without expectation, but I feel like if you care about a character even a little it intensifies the horror to see them go. Everyone here was a villain on some level. Perhaps one exception, but it still felt vague. Having said that my hope is that the series takes up the Halloween anthology idea that Season of the Witch originally introduced. Would be great to see them explore other stories set in this universe.
Thanks for the positive feedback Jimmy I’ve been seeing nothing but bad reviews 😅 makes me feel better about watching this Friday 🔪 🎃
You’ll be disappointed trust me
@@georgeroberts209 I love how many bad reviews, but hey this guy gave it a good review, so I'm happy. LOL doesn't make any sense.

Just being honest
Hi! Will there be more movies in your opinion?
I find it fascinating you say they nailed the small Midwestern town look as they filmed it in Georgia this time. Pretty cool since they filmed this only a few hundred miles from where they shot RZ’s Halloween 2 which I thought was one of the better Midwestern recreations in the franchise.
This is the best i think
@@JimmyChampane and there’s on more thing I remembered everyone was pissed about the Dr in Halloween taking Michaels mask and putting it on and trying to feel and be like Michael but that’s exactly what they just did in ENDS lol 😂😂
I live in midway Ga where a lot of the movies where filmed its a small town. We have 1 traffic light besides the ones at 95 and lots of dirt roads. The town they made was much bigger
I thought they did a terrible job. Number one look at the dang trees throughout the movie. It was mid summer. I think there was a couple of scenes where it wasn’t but the rest were. And the town felt huge. I suggest people watch Halloween 6, that is how you nail the look and feel of a small midwestern town. And it actually looked and felt like October in Illinois.
Been watching your channel for a while and I enjoy your insight. Just finished HE and I completely agree with your review. Really liked how you described Halloween decorations in the MW. I grew up in Southern Illinois and definitely understand how the decorations pile up every year 😂
Showdown was good and should have definitely been longer. The idea for the new character was great but poorly executed.
Literally, all we needed was a little dialogue at the end and people could have had some closure. Ending felt forced just to get it over with.
2018-top 3
Kills-ASS
Ends- decides it all for this trilogy and i shall see at 2 AM
I am so happy to watch this review! There is so much negativity about it that it's hard to not let it affect the viewing experience so definitely glad there are some positivity out there
Nailed it on the head my dude. Great review (not saying that just because I agree for the most part). Been looking forward to your thoughts. Can't wait to see your spoiler-filled one.
I recorded this 3 times so I'm glad the one I went with is resonating better. Thanks man
People are disappointed because Halloween Ends isn’t a 2hr film of Michael and Lori fighting each other. The film took a unique approach and focused on Dr.Loomis’ diagnosis of Michael. He is the embodiment of evil. When you look in his eyes you look into darkness. You can either be consumed by it (Corey) or fight against it (Lauri). I think it worked very well.
You have worked hard on this channel!
It's great!
Kuddos!
Keep up the great content!
As Kevin McCallister says in Home Alone...I'll give it a whirl. I've already spent the last year lowering my expectations after Halloween Kills anyways lol.
Edit: So I just finished it...and I really enjoyed it. It will definitely not be for everyone. It's a very unique film and I like how different it is. Enjoyed it much more than Halloween Kills.
Yep I agree, went in with an open mind and ended up liking it.
Nicely done video Jimmy!!! I lived ends as wrll its legit one of my favorite Halloween movies this trilogy wad nicely done! I don't care who doesn't like it I know I do and that's how us real fans of the franchise should feel about it naysayers will always have something to say yet nothing to contribute:) anyways just wanted to say I enjoy the content and keep on doing it man! Happy holidays everybody!
Drop me into the world of Haddonfield and Michael Myers and I'm all in baby.
Same
In a movie where MM's is only in a 2 hour movie for 20 minutes
I agree with you about not wanting to argue with people who did not care much for the film. I think sometimes when you have fans who are extremely passionate about a series such as this, they find themselves liking it simply because of their Devotion to the series. This movie was a good horror movie, yes. But it was not a good Halloween film at all. Not only was it lacking in scenes featuring Michael Myers but when has a force to be reckoned with such as the Halloween series needed to draw plot elements from other films. The throwback to Halloween 3 are excellent and well executed. The kill scenes are wild and amazing. The story is not good. Plain and simple. It's simply just not good storytelling nor away to close out the series. This is certainly not the first time someone has dropped the ball on the Halloween films and at this point, seeing as how it seems no one can seem to get it right and satisfy the majority of the fan base I really think at this point it's just time to stop. I say that in all due respect to you and the wonderful work you are doing with your channel and your reviews.

I never clicked on a video so fast
I just came back from the theater. I fucking loved it... It made me cry... 😭
This movie is so misunderstood and I'm baffled as to why. I understood it completely. This movie was pretty intriguing. For being almost 2 hours it felt like 1. I never fell asleep and it kept my interest the whole way through. It was also a good nod to Halloween 3. Michael is beaten down and falling apart for not having any medical attention for 4 years. He's also depressed because his childhood home was demolished. He fell into more of a depression because he hasn't had any glorified kills since 2018.
Evil is infectious. The Boogeyman is infectious
Haha now now. You do like to sound high and mighty. Let me correct you. We did not misunderstand the movie. You didn’t understand it any more than us. You LIKED the movie. More people didn’t. Don’t try to justify the dislike by saying it was misunderstood.
This movie ripped off Friday the 13th: Part V. Period. And it was done WORSE!
I like Michael being just a man and one that can get weak. It grounds him in reality, making him more terrifying as if someone like him could really be out there. Evil can die, but that doesn’t mean evil won’t be out there in another form.
No man could have survived what happened on that "fated" night.
So glad to hear that this is focused well directed movie/ I was a little bit lukewarm about "Kills" but I'm definitely looking forward to this one. I listened to the Mick Garris podcast with Jamie on it, and I have to admit I was kinda moved. She got tearful near the end talking about Halloween and what playing Lauri Strode has meant her because of what is has meant to all the millions of fans through all these years. It's really something. (I kinda love her!! lol)
That really comes through in this movie
If she loves Halloween so much she would have never agreed to play in this garbage ending.
@@fruity220990 she doesn't care about the franchise or the fans. It's a quick buck listen to her interviews during and after h20 how done she was with this franchise and how glad she was to be done, she didn't care about this entire trilogy neither did any of the creative visionaries that created this 3 piece pile of Dingle berries of a trilogy. To tell u the truth of u are watching kills without watching 2018 it doesn’t work but if u watch 2018 with kills it’s one big movie really !!! This new one kinda goes away from both of those

I’m like 70/30 on it. Just how I feel
Well if you trust Jimmys you will be let down. But then again, maybe you think like he does. I give it 1/10 stars. It’s that bad.
The ending spit in the face of fans. After watching your review, I agree with what you said about how it was shot. As a fan, I'm so disappointed and don't agree that it's one of the better Halloween movies.
Happy for you, dude. Culmination of years of hard work, plus getting to the premier as the cherry on the cake? Awesome :D

@@JimmyChampane and one more thing if they’re not brother and sister how does Laurie know Corey is acting like Michael? She barely knew him in the 1978 classic bad writing man if we retcon everything before shouldn’t know anything about Michael and how acts like she claimed to know Corey “ is acting like Michael”
Hi. I like what you had to say about the movie and I agree.
I think they can go forward with lots of different stories of different people having events that push them over the edge, or they admire Michael and they take on his personality and costume. It would be a way to see more Michael movies. Think of Scream, each movie is a different character but they dress up as Ghostface.
Does anyone know, when Corey dresses up as Michael - For filming purposes, is it really the actor or is it James under the mask?
Great job Jimmy love these spoiler free reviews 🎃 🎃
I'm happy to finally see someone who felt the same way about this film as I did. Plus watching it I saw the Christine connection to. Thanks for a solid review. Definitely got a follow from me.
I’m seeing it tomorrow! I was very anxious from all the hate it’s been getting online. But you were the one person I was more excited to hear from about this movie and of course I’m still a bit anxious especially since I’m watching it with a girl I like and she has never seen the Halloween movies, but is willing to try one. I may have to recap everything to her though. But Im just going to watch this movie tomorrow as a Halloween fan and have a fun time hopefully, even knowing that the one Halloween fan I follow enjoyed this one as well.

Thank God this Trilogy is coming to an "end."
Is it POSSIBLE that your review is a LITTLE skewed because you made it to the inner circle (having been personally invited to a screening by the movie company) and you want to STAY THERE?!? If you trashed it, would they invite you back to another screening?!? I wonder........................
You basically have to go VERY easy on this movie or you won't be invited to another exclusive first public showing ever again. I get it. Great review. Thanks for being as honest as you are allowed to be.
Thanks for the review Jimmy! I’ve been waiting on this. Sounds like Laurie survives. I love her and Michael of course so I don’t know how to process this. 🤣
How about the Blue Oyster Cult music cues??Sweet Jesus Mercy, there is a lush romantic Muzak version of (Don't Fear)The Reaper in the Supermarket scene with Hawkins & Strode & then outta left field Buck Dharma's guitar kicks in at the very end!!!Nice "we're Not Worthy" homage I thought!!!
Years ago on your channel, I said I felt it should just end with H2018. While I thought Kills was 'Eh', this one felt satisfying. I respect the guts it took to try something different, and loved the slow-burn pacing like the original, creative kills, and the shock of Michael Myers having an ally of sorts. I'm not even too disappointed with not having more Michael because of how the close of the third act. And yeah, impressive pumpkin intro yet again.
I really love the positive vibes Jimmy always gives when he uploads a vid. It's very rare to see people actually enjoying their interests than constantly picking everything apart and just being the annoying "everything sucks dude".
There’s a reason this was put on Peacock the same day it’s in theaters. If you like the Halloween franchise as a whole, you’ll dig this movie. If you love Micheal Myers…my condolences 💐 😢
Good point
@@That-Will-Do-It Jurassic World Dominion, Minions Rise of Gru, The Bad Guys, The Invitation, Black Phone, heck even Beast were all able to be released in theaters ONLY and then after some time, then being sent to the streaming service. So I’m not so sure the Covid reason is accurate. In addition, they’re (Universal) still planning on releasing Violent Night in theaters only on Dec 2.
Man you made this sound like everything I wanted this movie to be. So excited to see this tomorrow!
Same I’m going watch it 1045 tomorrow
Peacock. Save your $
I personally placed it just above Resurrection. It's more of a Lifetime movie and not a slasher.
@@capitalcitygoofball1987 I wouldn't place it above an elementary play. It was terrible at being bad. They sure did end the halloween franchise lol
@@brianc1889 It's ended for me, even assuming Blumhouse loses the rights. It's clear where American horror wants to go, and it's not tension, characters, cinematography. I'll have to just hope the Koreans keep cranking out actual horror. But, damn between all three movies there is a solid fan edit to be made.
I really respect how you handle opinions, honestly we need more people like that!
I'm thinking it's too early, to see if Halloween ends is going to be as divisive as Halloween 3 AKA Season of the Witch or Rob Zombie's Halloween 2! Halloween ends just opened in theaters in the US and around the globe today! So let's see how it does at the box office over the weekend talk about more the device this Monday!
So pumped for you about the screening. Great review! Halloween is my second favorite franchise and very special to me. I love them all even the installments people consider bad. I think I’ll be good to go with this one! Can’t wait for tonight.
If you was a real fan you would be sickened by what the studios have done to the series and cash grab its become! The movies get trashed because the real fans call it out!
@@brentmichael4770 didn’t know we had rules on what makes a true fan. I’m not saying I don’t have huge problems with certain ones, I just started coming around on Curse of Michael Myers and I still have huge problems. But yeah I can sit back enjoy all of them for the nostalgia. It’s what makes this rollercoaster of a franchise special. All of the ups and downs. The original 1978 Halloween is my favorite movie of all time & it’s my second favorite franchise so yeah I would say I’m a pretty hardcore fan. I go into these knowing none of them will ever come close to the excellence of the original but I can still have a good time with them. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion & one good scare 🎃🔪
@@Antdapuzzo Curious: What's your favorite franchise?
@@jamesknightley4201 SCREAM. The most consistent horror franchise of all time. Jamie Lee Curtis is the Scream Queen but Neve Campbell is my favorite final girl of all time hands down.
Hey Jimmy, great video! The budget was 20 million for this movie. I cannot wait to see this one tomorrow!!
I’m seeing this at 6:30 pm in Boston MA and i will give my thoughts in a few but definitely glad to hear Jimmy’s take , it gave me some hope !
This movie just messed Michael Myers legacy up 🤦♂️
Nice Jimmy , My feel on this trilogy is 2018, Kills both will become cult classics . In 20 years Kills will the one that grows the most, yes 2018 is the more grounded , but Kills is the most fun, I can put on H kills and enjoy it still to this day. Flash back and all.
LOL the second I saw the notification I clicked. So tired of the Australian reviews.
Thanks :)
@@JimmyChampane Anytime man. I’ve loved your channel since you did your franchise ranking for Halloween. Keep up the good work man.
Awesome spoiler free review Jimmy! You are the best at bringing us all into the Halloween world. No one does it better!
Apparently he isn't because this was absolute garbage
Really cool getting to go to the premiere…. Congratulations, really cool acknowledgment of all of your hard work. Love your channels, especially this one…. Kinda sad it’s over(Halloween), at least for now….
Thanks for sharing this video, Jimmy. I really enjoy your channel. I just saw it Thursday night and overall I thought they did a great job with it, and the music film score is awesome!
It was different. But I enjoyed the hell out of it. It wasn’t a usual Halloween sequel. It felt so fresh to me. The start of the end credits *chefs kiss*
It must be thirsty Thursday if I have champagne in my hand. I was waiting for this review because up until now all I heard was the same review from the same type of people. Time to get an honest one.
The ending is crushing, no pun intended
It's quite a grind.
Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy... HELL YEAH!! Thanks bro!
Holy shit if it's got a Christine type feel then I'm going to love it! I loved Christine!
It's nothing like Christine WTH is he talking about🤦
Yes good movie
Not Christine… in fact, it’s a let down of a movie and not on Christine’s level. I know this is a channel for hardcore fans but you gotta remove the bias goggles and admit that this was a horrible script and no one wanted to see Corey take the spotlight from mike… IN HIS FINAL MOVIE
I personally liked this movie despite problems I have with it. It was a good and interesting character study but there are some things I didn't agree with. However this inspired me to write a fan film I want to make, with the beginning involving kids arguing over the story of Michael Myers, about if the murders Happened in 78 or 07, was laurie his sister or some random girl, was he in a cult, was he a deformed Celtic boy reincarnated, with the shape outside lurking, his form changing as he steps through the shadows, referencing how this story is now almost folklore levels with the different interpretations and views of what Michael is and how people see the series differently
This movie was a steaming pile of crap! They disrespected Michael Myers SOOOO bad! This is the finale and they did Michael so wrong! How are you gonna have such an iconic villain and only give him 20 mins of screen time?? And only give him three kills? Corey Cunningham should have been introduced in 2018!
Went to see it and had a great time! 🎃 It's definitely different, but I have to appreciate the idea of taking the movie in a direction that hasn't been done before in the series. LOVED the pumpkin credits and the score was perfect! Thanks for creating such a fun and energetic channel to bring Halloween fans together. I can't believe the Halloween journey is over. Can't wait to see what you cover next
Just finished watching in on Peacock and I absolutely loved it. I loved the whole idea of Michael becoming weaker after not killing for 4 years and becoming stronger the more he kills throughout the movie. Solid 8.5/10 movie
So u liked Micheal getting punked #notmymicheal
@@TheNestor374 He is a 60+ year old man and gets weaker when he doesn’t kill, which hasn’t been for 4 years. That’s why when we first see him, his arm looks broken and he’s barely able to stand, but when he kills his first victim he looks a lot stronger immediately
That first kill Michael got when it showed him almost like recharging his evil was so fucking sick
@@That-Will-Do-It his house was demolished. The only thing he wanted to do was go home, they’ve said this in the previous movies. Where else would he go to not get fucked with
@@SergeantFknLag another thing, him being 60+ years old don’t mean a thing. He was in the mental hospital for 40 years and didn’t kill when he got loose after the bus crashed he immediately started tearing people up. If him killing makes him stronger and what he is, then he would have came out of that bus being weak and feeble. Nice try.
Hint to anyone who hasn't seen it yet. Either pay 5 bucks for peacock or wait until it's streamed on the net to see Halloween Ends, don't waste 100$ taking you, your wife, kids, friends ect to the theater for this trash like I did. Learn from my mistake
I think Michael had plenty of screen time. Made the moments he was on screen much more precious imo
It was his and Lories movie and franchise and he’s hardly in it. Hiding in the sewers like a wounded animal. Film made no sense.
Congrats on getting to go to the premiere. Great video man
