His new challenge: to compete in the infamously difficult Wales Rally GB. Join Mike on an epic journey as he prepares to compete on one of the toughest events on the World Rally Championship in this exclusive web series "Going Straight Sideways".
In order to be allowed to race in Rally GB, Mike first needs to pass the test for his competition license. Then, it’s time to meet his co-driver, who begins to teach Mike the language of pace notes with an innovative training tool.

My dream is become a racer but i think this is impossible because rally cars,rally lessons and in my country these are so expensive but im wathcing this video anyway and i hope
Rally lessons aren't really needed, as long as you don't mind finding things about by yourself.
Also, if you can find a rally oriented car club to join, there will no doubt be people only too happy to help you out.
Cars can get very expensive, but if you can find an older one, with all the basics already in, it shouldn't be too bad.
Don't try and build your own if you want to keep costs down, I can tell you that it will always end up more expensive.
And, if you are keen, co-drivers are usually in demand, so that could be a good entry point.
What it really takes to be a rally driver?
Answer: The deposit for a house.

I'd do good at that. Got 4 world fastest time trial sets in 3 racing sims/games. Some runs have taken over 150 tries just to get in Project Cars.
I drive as fast as the car drives whenever I can.
Buddy Mckay can you flat out around corners in real life though? More a question of nerve as well as unbelievable skill
@@dnbenr3090 You also have a more dynamic control system IRL. Cars have a full steering wheel, 3 pedals and a gearshift. Sims only have 2 toggles and some buttons. Simming is hard stuff.
