- Terraria's 'most powerful' weapon may surprise you... Meowmere. Terraria's endgame is in a weird place. Having the flagpole moved so many times, naturally means that some previous 'kings' get thrown off the throne. Today we take a look at statistically the most 'powerful' weapon in all of the Terraria, beating even the Zenith in raw power. However, as many of us know, power doesn't mean best and its functionally lets it down big time compared to the Zenith. Enjoy!

If anything they should add a "zenith" for all classes. I don't get why they only ever made a sword.
The Meowmere was the greatest and most iconic weapon in terraria for half a decade, along side the last prism. Now it’s just a sword used to craft the Zenith.
Honestly I never really liked it. I always found it falling short to both the star wrath and the terrarian

It would be nice if they’re were a zenith type weapon for every class

I’m imagining each and every zenith per class in the same way as the normal zenith. Just a combination of all the main weapons used, the summon just being all the staffs flying towards enemies. Or the ranger weapon shooting the guns themselves

You should def do a review on the Shadowflame Hex Doll, i think its power is often overlooked, considering you can get it right after entering hard-mode.

in my first playtrough, that weapon got me to moon lord. sadly, the file got corrupted, but i still clearly remember how amazed i was at how fast it could kill enemies.
You just gotta wonder why a godlike squid being that has unfathomable extradimensional powers drops a pretty cat rainbow sword that looks like hello kitty's personal choice of weaponry.
Honestly.. the Meowmere is kind of disappointing for me. Before 1.4, I would always use the Star Wrath over it. It always seemed to preform better and it didn’t create that constant meowing sound effect.
It does make ear-piercing star fall noises.
The constant screeching of falling stars did get grating after a while
I don't use the meowmere or star wrath, I usually go for the Terrarian

@@BloodMOON_z019 The Terrarian has much greater DPS, and using the White String/Yoyo Glove gives it considerable range. The Flask of Piss (ichor) makes things even better.
The meowmere has almost as much dps as the zenith and can take out moonlords top eye before it closes on a tank build with no arena or buffs.
I've personally always preferred the star wrath. It just feels more cool summoning a literal meteor shower. By all means I'll use meowmere if I get it first, but star wrath still tops for me.
I prefer star wraith as concept but i think meowmere is stronger
You have a penchant for really timely video drops, at times where I'm waiting in the car or something.
The late game is fantastic for options but it's so dense that so many things are just plain redundant or a novelty at best. Meowmere is absolutely one of them with the Zenith blade being a thing. Still fun though.
I always wonder why the star wrath is never used compared to meowmere. It just functioned better and gave me higher DPS and being more fun and satisfying to use

I had a lot of trouble getting ingredients for Zenith on my master world. I ended up using meowmere for close range and the Terrablade for long range.
Get the flying dragon sword from betsy, it does like double the damage of the terrablade

Maybe for a new video series/singular video idea you could go over all of the unique seeds and the new legendary difficulty mode when using some seeds + master mode? would be nice to have a cohesive video going over them
the fact that the nyan cat sword outdoes the ultimate weapon crafted from swords coming from every inch of the world in melee damage frustrates me to a level that i could not begin to describe

i love the meowmere, really helps with grinding pillars for zenith lol (shredding pillars in 3 seconds is not okay man) though its’ performance against moon lord is pretty lacking in my opinion
Not like it's hard to destroy the pillars, just have to defeat 100 enemies, pillara themselves have hardly any health

Zenith is cool, But I like the simplicity of the Meowmere. It was my main weapon before Zenith came out... In fact, It still is, Considering I haven't gotten the Zenith yet- Haven't made it that far on my new Labor of Love character/world. But y'know. Those cat heads really put in work, And they actually go where you tell them to unlike Starwrath. And it isn't a yoyo.
In my opinion, it would be more interesting if, instead of endgame weapons, we use the endgame accessories and armour for the most powerful buffs you can obtain so that any weapon of your choice will be buffed to hell to becoming the endgame weapon of your choice
That would've made more sense considering the pillar weapons would match the armour sets paired with it as it's endgame gear
And before anyone mentions Post Moon Lord mod progression let the Modders deal with that
It took me 27 attempts to get meowmere on my mastermode melee world to craft Zenith.

“Short lived” don’t ask me how long it took me to craft my first Zenith. Plantera didn’t want to drop her sword, Moon Lord didn’t want to drop the Starfury or Meowmere but I got well acquainted with the meowmere once I finally got to the point of getting the pumpkin sword to drop which also took a ton of effort and time.
Needless to say the Terrarian was the first melee drop I got. And then I just got mage weapon after made weapon after SDMG.
I got a rod of discord, and a bunch of other actual low chance drops faster than I got the remaining end game swords. I don’t even want to imagine what it would have taken to get the zenith in master mode.
Would love a rework of more melee weapons like how they did the terra blade tree of swords, imagine if we got a reworked meowmere and seedler or reworked ice scythe and Death scythe

i still use the meowwere a lot but not as much as the zenith.. still one of my favs tho
I did try and fail moonlord with it. The gravity afected projectiles made it hard to aim.
i got both the meowmare AND the star wrath from my first moon lord. i do agree, it helped a lot with getting the other zenith pieces!!!
This is literally my favorite weapon in the game, alongside sdmg with uzi. Even after I crafted zenith, I kept legendary meowmere at my hotbar. I love it. Hmm... Actually, its kinda strange I like weapons mostly considered not the best, like nebula arcanum, meowmere, plus components for nights edge except for weed sword, and also a piranha gun. I am not saying these weapons are bad, but I guess a lot of people will skip them mostly. Like what is the point of muramasa if you can just craft night edge? I will say "cuz its cool". Pitanha gun is pretty hard to get, but l dont care.
I love this sword even more than the zenith mostly because it bounces around and nyan cat meme

i used the meowmere to make mt entire world hear the cats
with a specific melee speed build i managed to get higher dps with the meowmere than the zentih on 2 targets
I knew there was a good reason for me getting a bead toy of the Meowmere and not Zenith
I love the meaowmere so much i keep it in my inventory even after getting the zenith.

Personally, after I get the Zenith I like to use it to get the weaker drops such as the Terrarian(unless I already have it). Even though the Zenith has the best damage, range and speed, what it doesn't have is everything that makes its components special... and it sure as hell isn't a sick ass yo-yo like the Terrarian no matter how much it moves like one.
It doesn't need what makes it's components special because it's better, and outperforms them in every way
How do you get fireing at the speed of the final clip or is it a mod
I think on of the bigget issues with meowmere is the fact, that most players will have farmed most of the things that you can get in caves, dungeon, buildings and stuff, while meowmere is literally best in closed spaces with it's projectile getting bounced of walls
And even if you do get to use it like that, beacause you are farming or trying to get or build something underground after all, then it does not really mater beacause DMG is so high that a few cat heads will bounce and that's it
So basically biggest issue of that weapon is not having enough reason to exploit it's main mechanic, which probably only bored players do for fun to test some set ups with the walls, teleporters or like shimmer

After i finished master melee, i just stood in place and fired my Meowmere directly above me to be bombarded by the cats... and to destroy my ears

I remember before Zenith came out that using this weapon on Solar pillar is a nightmare since there's a mob that reflects projectiles and getting hit by it gives the equivalent amount of damage the sword does
God that thing killed so many of my ranger builds.

i use meowmere when i spawn in the moonlord and just spam them above me, they start to build up and then it literally DESTROIES the top eye in seconds, thats the only use ive found for the meowmere

I remember I spent 2 days grinding the moon lord to get the meowmere and I got everything but it for those 2 days
I feel like they should increase the piercing for the projectiles, that way it could make it a lil more viable

Increaseing its peircing ability can make it do 12,000 dps without damage bonnuses.
tbh i dont see much reason to use anything past moonlord. what is there to do even? I kinda think it's sad that there is basically no real endgame content after Moonlord. I know the game already has plenty of content and it is well worth double its prize. anyways, I feel some items need more love and I dont mean more dmg.
I think a rebalancing of the game's pacing would do wonders. many items are extremely quickly outdated some even before you can reasonably obtain them. pre hardmode desert items for example. totally cool item, would love to use them. but try navigating underground desert at a point where the desert items would still be upgrades in any way: impossible. worms insta kill you, cactus insta kills you and forget to seal yourself in and one of the antlions will charge at you and guess what: insta kill you.
I don't feel like theres any reason to go to the ice biome in order to find items either. yea it has some nice items but all in all.. everyone just goes to the jungle asap which is far too easy for basically skipping all the content up until wall of dungeon/wall of flesh.
in hardmode we dont utilise the hardmode ores at all, we rapidly progress to tier 3 then kill a mechanical boss and from there on out no more hardmode ores.
Tbh an easy way to make the zenith more difficult would be to require the flying dragon. It would make the zenith harder to obtain while also giving an actual reason to grind the OOA

How about the Influx Waver? After the 1.4.4 update it should be more powerful, because of the better aim of the secondary protectiles after hitting an enemy with the first one.

I want there to be a mod that adds multiple bosses beyond moonlord and adds upgrades to some of the final og weapons loke star wrath + star fury + 100 luminite bars = some really powerful weapon.

Also, increasing crit chance often increases dps more than increasing damage (unless crit chance is already 100%)
