  • Both the Akko V3 Cream Blue Pro and Akko V3 Lavender Purple Pro are very nice budget tactile switches. They sound very very similar, the notable differences are with the feel due to the longer travel on the purple than the blue, and a slight difference in spring weights.⬇️DISCOUNTS AND MORE BELOW⬇️

Yeah they both sound very similar to my not at all an experienced kbd hobbyist ears 😅. I gues based off of the description on screen it comes down to the actuation force of each switch - lavender is lighter than blue, you should be able to type for a long period of time, which is the case of Cherry MX Brown (45g), Beer (38g), and Boba U4T (62g - bottom out) in my experience. For a long typing session, Beer is my fave; but feels wise, Boba, altho my fingers do get tired faster.

Purple sounds a bit deeper. I have Boba U4T too and I get tired really fast

Depends, if you're the type to bottom out when you type then actuation force is not as important as bottom out force. If that's the case, the Lavenders have a 3.8mm bottom out vs the blues 3.3mm bottom out. So technically the lavenders are heavier because of the deeper bottom out.

@@marshallmaia8130 interesting... I'm not sure which one I am...
so do you say the sound that we hear when typing is caused by bottoming out? if so then I prob bottom out then that's what I should consider...

@@Coco-lr1sc a mixture of pressing the switch, the switched traveling, the switch bottoming out and then the switch coming back up all contribute to the over all sound. That’s why in some sound tests they will press on one switch slowly.

ty for the great vid! 😄 they sound so similar - what’s the main difference between the cream blue and lavender purple? i’m thinking of getting either as they sound amazing!

As it says on the screen in the video. Longer travel on the purple than the blue is the most significant difference I would say.
