Thought I would pop on here because I’m seeing lots of people confused in the comment section. Sorry about the confusion you guys, I didn’t explain well enough in the video.. I did mention this apartment in a previous video and explained why I was renting, BUT I no longer rent this apartment! As shown at the end of this video I did pack up and move into my new place, which is on my channel called “Empty House Tour” sooooo don’t worry it’s not another confusing living situation it’s still a part of the old one 😂 hope this helped!! A good tip that I use for finding a hole in an air mattress is to put dish liquid and warm water in a spray bottle. Make sure that there's enough dish liquid to make bubbles. Then you just blow the air mattress up and spray it all over. The air escaping the air mattress will make bubbles. So it's easy to just look for the bubbles, mark the spot, wipe the water off and add a repair patch. :)

What kind of dollar stores do y’all have in Canada??? That looks insane!
They call it a dollar store but most of the stuff is at least $2-4 lol
every dollar type store in southern ontario is like this (carries those products without fail) but most dollar stores charge between $1-$5 for items other than dollar tree which is always $1.25

Dollarama, it is a bit more expensive for some items, but the selection and quality is better than Dollar Tree, which we do also have.

I just moved into an apartment a few months ago with a balcony that looked exactly like that. I ended up using almost the same products and style! Great to see Mia use second hand and show affordable ways to make a space your own :) looks great!

I guess one can be braver when you know you will have the resources to change it if you don't like it long term. The pressure to buy something and living with it for years it's what makes decisions hard for me.
Instead of using the command strips with the hooks use the strip directly on the frames. It will hold the art and it won't blow off the wall.
Also use the Velcro ones for this otherwise you can’t reach the part of the strip you pull to take the command strip off the wall. Learned that the hard way and my old apartment might have had some paint/wall missing in certain spots when I moved out😬🤣

If you want to grow herbs, a good stand is a regular pallet like the ones you used for the deck. Just stand them upright, with support beams on the bottom. Then, after you paint it, get hanging pots or shelves. For almost no money or effort, you have a nice upright herb garden, where no animals can get to it. I have done this myself, and it works wonderfully.

If you have a space that will allow rinse off... You can take a spray bottle of dawn and water and spray the air mattress all over. The holes will blow bubbles :) works for flat tires also
Use Flex seal for anything you don’t want to have water leak or air on little anything! They have a spray, one you can use a paint brush, tape, and probably more by now. But you can literally put it under a boat and it’ll keep it from leaking
Suggestion for that longer planter - it is a bit big for just one of the herbs you got but you could probably fit two or three in it and it would be a cute little garden
Yes, make the balcony (or house you're living in) look the best it's ever been and then move out (or sell in my case) 😅 I've done more in the past 6 months than the 13 years I've lived here. BUUUUTTT now I know what I'm capable of doing 😊

My mom likes thyme but we barely use it too. What we use the most are probably parsley and rosemary. Rosemary baked potatoes with skin and olive oil. That's what I like and what we mainly use these for. Baking veggies basically.
I used bandaids to cover up holes on an air mattress and it works so good👌
Get a used lamp and a daylight lightbulb!! You can have plants anywhere!! All the time!!
Dollar store acrylic paint hack: use corn starch, flour, or baby powder to thicken it into a more opaque and easier to work with consistency.
Hi Italian passionate hobby cook here: the trick to Basil is to not pluck it until the plant is huge!! I can't stress this enough let it grow (use a bigger pot) for a few months until it's ginormous and only then you can start using the basil leaves otherwise it will likely die

Just a little hack for y’all, if you take dish soap and rub it around on the air mattress it will start to form bubbles where there’s holes. It has saved me so much time :’)
I've never tried it, but my grandma always said you could add a little soapy water to an air mattress, and then when it's filling it will bubble out of the holes, in order to help you find the holes. I've never tried it, and I don't know if it would work. But you could test it out!

Just a tip for finding holes in air mattress (or anything that blows up). If you're struggleing put some sopy water on it and wach it bubble. It can be a little messy, but works great!

If you live in the states that are in the south balcony/deck season is just beginnin BAYBEE! I'm excited to be outside when it's not feelin like soup outside.
Tip: you can use command strips and put 4 on every side of the frame then stick it to the wall or keep them there and use command strips on the bottom to attach them better.

Mia your basil plant is wilting because it needs water not because it needs sun 🌞 basil leaves wilt when they’re even slightly thirsty but give it a little water and it’ll perk up almost straight away like within an hour 🥰🌱
I love it Mia!! Just one observation, if you can re-plant the one on the metal basket plant, the actual metal will burn or freeze the roots of the plant, it happens to me several times with different herbs, instead you can have little pots inside that basket and they will be ok 👍 and also make some holes in the bottom so the water doesn't rust the metal 😉
