Hi Legend, This was my disaster battle I sent in. Thanks for saving my army, I was just having a really hard time keeping my infantry alive because I would leave them in combat for a bit while managing my monsters and some of them got wiped out because im bad, and I really wanted to live out the skaven elite melee infantry dream. Also that brood horror was damaged from a different battle.
No harm going on slow-mo or pausing the battle to keep an eye of everything!

Skaven infantry is very much ratass, their very best lasting less in combat compares to dwarven miners, so keeping them alive is going to be massively hard especially because of their shit leadership. Its possible, but very hard.
Im a fairly new RTS player and warhammer 3 total war was actually the first strategy battle/campaign game i played, ive been playing it for the past 3 months non stop and ive been loving it.. perhaps its the setting and characters but i love how the game plays, scratches an itch i never knew i had... i will write a good review with the time i played with it :)

That one damaged Brood Horror reminds me of a Warrior Priest I have in a Cult of Sigmar campaign. Dude always comes on the battle field with ~10% of health missing, even if fully healed prior to the battle. Maybe a health upgrade bug?
Was playing a campaign with VCoast a few months ago and I had units entering the battlefield and immediately dying. Took a while to realize that the bloated corpses I had in my reinforcing army were _exploding_ when they came in because of a bug. So yeah--I would not be surprised if there is a bug with how health is calculated on reinforcement entry.
There's a bug with all characters that have HP modifiers in their stat tree. If they get +15% from their skill tree for example, sometimes they bug out and enter battle with that 15% missing. If you have any savefiles please help report on CA's bug report forums, unfortunately my files all have mods and CA seems to be looking for unmodded saves only.

I agree with Legend here. Hopefully if the execs at CA see that we as a community can and are organized together, they'll realize that we have the real power here and they should (within reason) design with us in mind instead of their own ideas, and let the passionate developers and writers do what they think is best as they too are a part of the community. I might be optimistic, but the only way to show the community has power is to unionize and show it. We started with Shadows of Change and we can continue until the proper people who made the horrible decisions that led to the downfall of Total War are held responsible, instead of holding the developers and people without any decision power responsible. We won once already, with Thrones of Decay shaping up to be a beautiful DLC that was really well received. Let's not lose momentum and keep up the organized community so we can save Total War together.

For the brood horror at 5:30 taking damage, this map and a few others have a certain reinforcements issue where when reinforcements begin making their way in if there's any sudden change in elevation or slope they will take "fall" damage and lose a bunch of health. It's really common on chariots, monstrous units, and other large entity units. I really think they should just remove fall damage as it is extremely clunky and can legit ruin large entities. Also, there are rare cases where you can actually force the opponent to take fall damage.

I laughed at how the Throt's army was more or less Pestilens cosplay but the reinforcement was an honest-to-Great-Horned-Rat Moulder army...player's priorities seem a bit confused
I changed my review almost immediately after Thrones of Decay. We can only hope that the next DLC will be no worse. In general, I’m not particularly happy with the “canceled” DLC of Cathay, or the “current” plan for DLC - but if they include a free good rework/rebalancing of some old factions, like in thrones with the empire, then this will be a good step.

I put a positive review after Immortal Empires. The game has still lots of issues, but in the grand scheme of things its qualities are way more important. There is simply no equivalent on the market.
I still don't like Power creep caused by expensive DLC. My friends and I are playing multi campaign, and it is so unbalance in favor of people that are willing to pay for expensive DLC.
I got Warhammer after the whole drama. As a brand new player post-disaster, I can give a fresh perspective on it. I have little complaints, the game is solid. Plenty of factions, content, and map scale. Battles are the most visually pleasing of any title so far. Diplomacy is a bit lackluster, allies only ever drag you to war, but that's always been a flaw of total war games. Would like to see Three Kingdoms diplomacy make a return, not sure why they haven't used it in other titles.
First post on UA-cam. This is a great idea. I will rate it good. Mainly because they have listened a bit and positive reviews will help this company to listen more to your reviews.

Thanks for not being a gatekeeper for this game. Ive always been bad at these games for all the years ive loved them until i started watching your videos. Being approachable to newcomers and who arent geniuses at the game is how we keep this niche alive
I would write a review, but it'd feel disengenious since I haven't actually played Total War Warhammer 3. I have it, but my PC is too bad to actually run the game, so I can't play it
Your pc is probably fine. Its the game that has performance issues.

@@Weberkooks nah, WH series is plainly broken performance wise. CA simply does not care. Compare looks and performance of older TWs. Not to mention things, some shaders for example, being not functional since twh 1 straight.
@@Re4derTheGlorious Eh, not like it's some kind of Total War Warhammer 3 problem only. There have been other games that I bought that just would not work at all because my PC was just too bad to actually run them. So I don't think I can say that it's just the fault of TWW 3 in this case

One bit of advice that has helped me is that camera positioning can help a lot especially in the early phases of a complex battle. It's a small thing but try to have a "neutral" position you return the camera to every so often to assess what's going on.

I change my review, it dated from 2022 and Realm of Chaos was... what it was, i now recommand it ! So mutch fun with all the faction from throne of decay, still on my Malakai campain! Long live total war community ! (From a guy who have 2,850 hours on WH3 and 2,300 on WH2) Before i was only à histocal total war player, thanks legend to open my eyes on this univers of fun !

EDIT: Wow today the game got 700+ positive reviews and yesterday it was only 19
Probably known already, but if you slow down the video to 0.25 at the 9 second mark, you can see the Brood Horror being damaged already. So it actually did not take damage. It was already missing health when on campaign map. Reason it heals is because it's a single entity. All units only heal/resurrect up to their number of entities they started the battle with.
Still with Warhammer II here...

Just got the 3rd one a while ago. I think the characters from the second one are the best.
I can't say that WH3 is better or worse, but WH2 has a special place in my heart. With covid and stuff I literally sank into that game for over a year. I don't think I'll ever feel with WH3 what I felt with WH2.

Disaster battle here. Got no toilet paper. Friends are all out hiking. No cell reception. All i got for options are:
1x single unit of white rug
2 units of used toilet paper in the trash can
2 units of socks

I actually just forgot to change it back to positive. The game is in a pretty good place and I dearly hope they don't stick to their 2 years of support but just create stuff for as long as possible. Almost literally free money.
Nice video btw, mixing in Rat Ogres with infantry, instead of just flanking, is something I constantly neglect to do.
imagine the ai use the artilery properly , bombarding from range and defend them with solid formation that would be so terifiying

Having read some of those negative comments, i think legend feels responsible for them.
a lot of them are ppl only owning WH3, playing immortal empires and then complaining they can´t play the other races.
And even i thought at the time that this petition was a great idea, and then they all complained ...... Ungrateful rabble.
Mines at negative and going to stay that way, The reviews based on my overall experience, which includes how CA has treated its customers, and sub par quality of releases etc.
The damaged unit has got mixed revievs about his health :D
I've been playing Total War games since the original Shogun, and even I struggle to micro all the crazy units available in TWWH3. I just tend to fixate on a couple heros and forget about adjusting targeting for my arty or whatever.
Great idea with the positive reviews mate, I also think once CA see the unity in our community it would send a message.
I still dont trust CA, I dont think positive reviews are gonna help right now, also i believe reviews have been mixed since release because of the bad release.
It was mixed, after Immortal Empires was released and before chrorfs got released it changed to positiv and after Soc it went Back to Mixed.

20:08 very true, this is also the reason I stopped using alot of active abilities and items on heroes. It's more important to get stronger engagements for your entire army in the battle.
I would really like to post a positive review about this game, but the AI is going so downhill that I just don't see the point of doing campaigns on legendary that are won by turn 40-50, there's no strategy left in this game just going through the motions. The only thing that keeps this game going is the warhammer world popularity and rich lore and great faction diversity, so it's a nice Sims game with warhammer armies.
The only thing that is better now is that CA is not so shitty and dismissive towards us the customers and they gave us some new shiny unbalanced new toys that look flashy, but the core of the game, need for strategy and some semblance of an AI that does something are close to nonexistent anymore, after turn 40-50 I'm not even sure if the AI even works anymore cause it feels like it just shuts down.
It's like getting a Ferrari and finding out it only goes to 100km/h cause the engine stops if you try to go higher. Sure it still looks good and all but you bought it to drive it at high speeds.
I did a positive review after TOD, and will make a negative one if they mess up like with SOC.

I honestly have a lot of trouble with managing multiple armies, against multiple armies, there is so much going on in the screen I get overwhelmed and confused and completely lose control of the battle.
I've gotten very good at standard battles but the apocalyptic 2V2s and higher of the end game are something I'm always dreading.
Lol. CA saw Legends Malakai Campaign and saw how OP the Gyrocopters are and they reducued their ammo by 25% (from 40 to 30).
CA needs to take a card out star craft 2 or warcraft 3 and have a Auto cast for non passive abilities

Just written my review (Da_Kapikulu) and one big thing in my opinion is that the game is overwhelming. (Its great yes!) but too much. Too much stuff now, and I think having an army limit of 10-12 Units (with 20-24 in a big battle) would make the game much more enjoyable. While also having more cost to provide for such "full stacks". It will be less of a spam game and more a manageable tactic game. I love it when I can manage my units as a human, but the game will make you manage 40 - 60 vs 60-80 units very quickly and blow your brain out. I would increase unit sizes, but decrease unit limits. As a Total War Veteran it had always been 20 Units an army, but I do not think it is good for the game. Also, the AI is underwhelming, Legendary difficulty is too easy. AI is Spamming too much too, it needs to get more tactical & enjoyable!
An interesting opinion, but not one I can say I personally agree with in regards to army sizes. I think quite the opposite. I would like to field 40+unit stacks. I love the overwhelming sense of the battlefield and micromanaging in a panic. It makes me feel like an actual general trying to lead a chaotic battle! The AI is definitely brain dead though and I do not think narrowing the army size will fix that.
Maybe my expectations are high, but I don't think Warhammer 3 deserves a positive review. Try playing it without any of the DLCs and without owning the other games. You'll understand what I mean.

I can play it without DLCs just fine. Matter of fact, the last update comes with huge changes two three of already existing races which come with the base game (Empire, Dwarves, Nurgle). But hey, if you just like being negative for the sake of it, go right ahead. But at least be honest about it.
Just like playing medieval 2 for the first time then(only few factions unlocked yet still perfectly playable). Blah blah you need to buy the rest. Yeah of course they been putting content out for like 8 years?
doesn't feel like it really deserves a negative one either. Even if you're still only on TWW2 (an increasingly dwindling number of players btw), you kinda have to acknowledge just how far CA has come with all 3 games.
I can SOMETIMES micro this well, but only with slow motion and every unit in a control group. How Legend does it with 80% mouse clicks is mad.
Since I got into TW with Medieval 2 the pause key is my best friend. No problems with Micromanaging that way. And I can enjoy the battle animations. Poor Legend, sometimes he reminds me of a starcraft PvP player. My lazy brain could never do that.
5:33 it was damaged already before the battle. I've seen that bug many times before, the units that are arriving on the battlefield appear as a 100% hp unit and then they are reduced to their actual HP. I've also noticed that the current damage taken (the red part that appears on the units hp pool) indicator takes longer to disappear so it may look like your units are taking damage for no reason but in reality they were supposed to arrive with that amount of HP.
Health appears to be at 100% on the unit card in the pre-battle summary, is that where the bug is?

I'm writing a positive review, this is a great idea. They have to understand that the better the content they release, the more people will come, pay and enjoy their product.
I think i'll change my review after the next DLC I think! Thrones of decay is a good step down the right path - but we had to fight so bloody hard to even get them on the path and with the inflation having dropped would like to see if the next DLC will go back down to ogre kingdoms/champions of chaos / warhammer 2 DLC prices rather than the new norm of 20. Love the idea and love the direction they're going just gonna take a bit to get me happy again after shitting on my face.
I´m going to wait what they announce this week for the next dlc before I praise their work. One good dlc could be a coincidence, two in a row, would be a change in attitude towards the game.
I have to say I probably would have really disliked your behaviour in the past from what I've heard.
However just like with the game my goodwill for you has only gone up with the integrity and well placed positivity you've shown interacting with the community with stuff like this (also your easy mode explanation and general attitude interacting with players for example) It's all been very respectable so kudos.
So in the spirit of things I think thats a great idea to write a positive review for CA given them getting their shit together for the time being.
Yeah he’s obviously capable of introspection (very difficult for people sometimes) and the attitude of “you do you that’s fair enough” is a solid one. And how he always explains his reasoning for doing things instead of just “do it this way it’s better”. Sometimes I disagree but I learn a lot from watching how he plays and why he does certain things

I already gave the game a positive review, but this is my first Total Warhammer purchase of any kind. Was watching Grubby play it and finally caught the itch.
It is a little crazy that #1 and 2 are still full price right now, but I'm having hundreds of hours of fun with the non dlc content myself.
Legend, have you looked at Grand Tactician Civil War? Its not a total war game but fairly similar.

Haha having damage unit coming in, oh CA. I've been playing a high elves campaign (pretty late campaign already) and I have phoenixes and dragon stack and at the end of a major siege battle, one or two of my unit die without a reason
I agree with legend on the positive review, if you’re enjoying the game now in its current state. Ive managed to put in over 200 hrs since thrones of decay. That’s more than half the total time I’ve played since the original release of tww3 more than 2 years ago (circa February 2022) I’m here solely for the Immortal Empire content. Realms of chaos is mid in my humble opinion.

Considering how hard legend helps this game I don't mind leaving a review for him.
Legend I love the content and I love the position you take on a lot of things. But this is one I disagree on. Doing what was expected and should have been done hasn’t often earned me a pat on the back. But I never did it for the pat I did it because I knew what was expected of me. This is like telling your child hey you did a good job. After half assing their way through a school project you know they can do better at.
totally fair take. I just wanted to put some positivity out there to counterbalance things. At the end of the day I do love this game.
@@LegendofTotalWar Trust me brotha that love for the game brought me back into the series and you even helped me get to legendary difficulty as a normal difficulty. I also understand wanting to make a positive impact. Honestly the community does need a head or rather heads To direct the mobs however the community needs to also grow up some. The passive idea of not my problem, or meh what’s a blood pack dlc to me, It’s called nickel and diming. The act of over charging small amounts for petty services. Do it enough times and that 5 and 10 cents turns into hundreds and thousands of dollars. I love this game like no other and Im the first to say a lot of this isn’t the lone developers fault. Bad management and company direction is what poisons a well of talent. But CA is not anywhere near deserving of a pat on the back. Restructure your corporate ladder get some positive management in for your development team, talk to your community about what is happening and give us the news that is gonna suck but will make for something better. Next total war is gonna be a while. Until then here are the massive fixes for these games we support que the fixes for Warhammer and pharaoh que some dlc for these games. Then come back when you have a functional game engine and a game that can be built on it. EA has made a career of how little work can we do on a game to return a profit, way to many studios like CA saw this and went heeeeey they charge 60 a year for a new football game with almost carbon copy roster with a few trades and stats updated. Then you spend hundreds to thousands on dlc and lootboxes. All so when you play you can watch your character do the stretch arm strong… cause everyone knows Mr fantastic the running back for the chiefs.. or same with star wars spend close to 10 years playing and you can unlock vader or spend the 300 now to do it.. Im not saying dlc is the enemy but if it’s dlc then it needs to be elden ring style.. I have a full game that delivers an amazing story and experience. The dlc does not make the game any less than the original product by not being included but also does actually add and improve things and experience if you did purchase it. So at the end of the day you’re not missing much. I’m not gonna say bad legend don’t be positive. Take the stance you have and Ill still be tuning in. I enjoy a content creator who will share his thoughts and opinions without much of a filter

I think it's good to reward CA for good behavior. That being said, I won't leave a good review. First and foremost cause I never leave reviews, so prob wouldn't now. But additionally, I don't think one good deed (or just a few) are enough to demonstrate they've turned things around. They'll need to be consistent for a longer period of time to prove anything imo.
Still a small shift in reviews would be good to show they're on the right path, not rewarding better behavior on more fronts than only the financial one also won't help us.
Won't support TWW3 until prices for DLC go down. It's not about quality. The quality is fair enough. It's about quantity and value.

Mine's been positive since before SoC. I honestly didn't hated anything happened recently bad enough to ruin the game.
