The conversation with Jeff (Retention Marketing Guy) was very informative. Jeff listing the business software was some thing unique and interesting in this videos.
I love how diverse these businesses are, from eco-friendly retail stores to a men's hair salon. The common thread among them is hard work and perseverance. And that story about spray-painting curbs to make money at 13 is just amazing!
I doubt people who did graduate college would want to admit that it wasn't worth it. I think it's a psychological thing where people don't want to look back and think something wasted your time. If it's worth it or not, I think, depends on your major too though. Time-management, multitasking, completing deadlines, all these skills are learnable yourself
learn it yourself for free or spend 100k+ for the fast track 😉, but i also see how college can be very useful in instilling these values but also building relationships early on. Also "worth" could have different criteria for different people.
@@BlazeCardz Yes true! It does have a different criteria for everybody. For some, it might be about purely making money or being a business owner without the other factors. Also networking can be done without going to college, especially nowadays, via social media, attending events, joining a group/organization, etc.
@@Goodbives7 That all depends on what you're going to school for. If you're trying to become a surgeon or an electrical engineer, then you absolutely need a college education. You're not going to be able to get into either of those professions by being self-taught and watching a few free videos online. It doesn't work that way. But if you're going for a degree in art history or, as in the case of one of the guests interviewed, international business, then college isn't really necessary (unless you're applying for a job that requires the degree).
I graduated and for most people it’s a complete waste of time these days … 20 years ago it was worth it … these days not at all unless your hopeful profession requires it
Depends… I got a graduate degree and my business is in the same field of my degree. I couldn’t have started my business without my degree. But you’re right not every business needs a degree.

College is not a scam if you are going in with an idea of what you want to do and you continue on to get a masters … notice the last guy said Stanford mba … my college experience I noticed half my courses were general Ed that weren’t much more than I learned in high school and were completely pointless … I recommend not going to college unless what you want to do requires it
The motivation behind these stories are great, I just can’t take that leap .. fear is the biggest thing to overcome .. I’m still going to watch and learn from these vids

Great video Charlie. It's what we know to be true. People with an idea willing to work hard and take a risk. Turning their passion into businesses. Great success stories and info on starts and bumps.
My first job being a male escort. I was charging 250/hr. Then I raised it to 300/hr. Call me whatever you want. But my college friends and room mates were hooking up just as much as I was, except I was getting paid for it.

Loose lips sink ships bro haha
Agreed, he seems like a great guy.
The salon owner was wonderful, such a positive and well spoken woman.

Cash poor, time rich. That guy hit it straight. 🙌🏻
lots of value in the last guy. Especially when he mentioned time/money constraints.
KEMPT, she said it best- employees are the most important!
The young guy (last one interviewed )was the best. You should have a more lengthy interview with him.
God I pray that any entrepreneur watching this will take action and not make excuses, IJN Amen.
