    Behind the emergency brake there's a small fuse panel, upper right side of the fuse panel is a black box. Under it (chime) remove the box and the annoying beeeeeeep will turn off.

    Hell mine does the same but mine is also a unique problem because mine only blows from the vents when I turn my headlights on and if they are off, they will only blow at your feet 😂

    • @drewsquickfix
      @drewsquickfix  6 місяців тому

      Wow ha ha sounds like a wiring issue a previous owner may have had a mechanic move some wires too get the headlights working. And yes only blowing at your feet is a broken actuator door or actuator it self. Good luck. Please subscribe!

    (DIAGNOSTICS ON IMPROPER CABIN AIR FLOW AND NO HEAT SYMPTOM ON MOST AUTOMOBILE'S BEFORE 2000.)
    PROCEDURES
    1. Verify cooling system full, no leaks, proper hose routing, pump condition pressure output and operation. Thermostat operation.
    2. verify heater core operation, in clogged and proper coolant flow.
    3. verify vacuum operation to any vacuum operated switches, actuators or door motors, plus vacuum reservoir and check valve.
    4. Verify if blower motor operates and clogged and check cabin filter box for anything abnormal.
    5. verify good voltage power, switched power, and good ground to all HVAC wiring, loads, connectors, and switch operation. Connectors pin location and every ground. Just takes one bulb to mess up the whole Christmas tree.
    5. verify internal gear mechanical operation of individual door actuators and blend motors if vacuum and wiring is correct operative
    6. Verify proper operation of main hvac control switchboard, check individual input and output wiring resistance and voltage with koer and koeo and verify with each load wire, signal wire, and ground wire have proper resistance and voltage drop when switches are activated. There's only three door motors to test usually never much more and this happens to be a dual HVAC system.
    7. If you have made it to this far then pull the dash out, no remember I said no later than 2000. They don't have actuators reset procedures and actual HVAC modules that let stupid relays and modules interfere ND micromanage anything on it's wiring harness.
    8. Dash is out inspect heater core housing box which is the air duct assembly and what not. Find the one of anywhere between 3 to 7 doors that is not performing as designed and fix what caused it to do that instead of just fixing the door lol if that ain't it only shit it could be is something stuck in actual dash vents good luck

    I just went through this with my 95 gmc k2500. I found THREE blend door actuators. Looking at the blower fan, look at upper left of the fan casing. I could not figure out how to replace that, due to lack of clearance with other plastic components, short of removing the entire blower box.

      Right, there are three actuators. On the driver side is the mode actuator (defrost, front vent, floor vent), to the left of the glove compartment (to center of truck) is the blend door actuator (hot to cold), behind blower is the recirculation door actuator. Only the one actuator is a blend door, that one mixes the air coming from the AC evaporator and air coming from heater core.

    • @mikehitsiniwanhaud8000
      @mikehitsiniwanhaud8000 4 роки тому +1

      JavaMan on my 99 k2500 burb the one behind/under the blower motor on the pass side moves when I turn the ac on/off and it also turns when I adjust the vent control from floor to vent to defrost.
      Mine keeps wanting too stick on defrost or vent but when I switch it that actuator moves , both in the vent selection and the a/c heat temp control. The same actuator moves for both knob functions

    No No No Nooooo!
    The Blend door motor is right above the accelerator pedal.
    The Fresh Air / Recirculate motor is on the Passenger side at the firewall.
    Blend door - Directs air to face, Floor or defrost.
    Recirculate Motor - Selects either air to recirculate in the cab. OR…turned off allows fresh air from outside.
    There is only 1 Blend door motor and its above the Accelerator pedal.

    Those linkage arms that you refer to around the 3:45 mark keep coming off for me causing my air/heat to only blow through the front dash vents and I lose defrost... which is a major problem when winter hits. Do you know how to access those linkage arms for replacement or how to get them to better stick if you've ever dealt with them coming off. Very hard to work by the gas peddles and the 4x4 stick shift on the floor prevents from laying on back and looking up from passenger side.

    Dude, to stop the door alarm when running and door is open, theres a switchpin that sticks out drivers side dash, when door is opened pin pops out and alarm sounds, door shut, the door pushes pin back in and alarm goes off, with door open take a tooth pick, puah the switchpin in and jam the tooth pick in right in where switchpin is and the alarm will go off with the door open and if you have to have the door open with ignition on you wont be bothered by the alarm because now the switchpin is locked off, when done, you can easily pull the toothpick back away and unit will work as normal. Remove all screws open it up and clean it out. I went ahead and just replaced all parts. Cost me about 250, put it back together tested it and the air comes out hard, the doors move smoothly and theres no debri stuck in it.

    The door actuator that you replaced has two arms that control two doors I believe. You have the same one I have that isn't connected! I found that the other part it is supposed to be connected to was at an offset angle to the actuator when it should have been parallel. I was able to pull that part out a ways, rotate it and slide it back into the hole but then manually rotating it hasn't done anything for me to improve vent air flow.
    Look at the far left center of the screen right at 3:43 ua-cam.com/video/s8pRHkHEhfk/v-deo.html
    That arm connects further up under the dash than the first one.
    I'm not sure if sliding that out, rotating it level and pushing it back in, actually put it back in control of a door inside the box or just has the rod in place missing the door....

      Jeff Mead........I can relate to your input. I am retired after owning a residential/ commercial plumbing company for over forty three years. Until I closed the doors I was 100% hands on in that I never asked anyone to perform a task that I had not already performed myself untold number of times. I have been in home improvement stores and heard a store employee describing how to use, fix, repair etc something with their home plumbing fixtures or system. I never offer that I have even heard them, much less contradict what the customer has been told. As I am sure you know in your profession, as is in plumbing, there are "plumbers" that are parts changers. (replace enough parts and they might eventually fix the problem). Paying dues and learn troubleshooting to the point you can repair things in your head before ever arriving on the job. As things have changed over the past three decades or so with blue collar professions losing the number of young people that truly want to learn and excel in a trade, the future does not look so peachy for the customer. Take Care, 👌 🇺🇲

I understand your frustration with slow internet and appreciate the feedback. Still this video has helped 1,000s of people. I know people who show up at ac repair places diagnosis alone Is $200. This diagnoses the issue and saves those people money. Again I'm sorry it didnt meet your standards with wording. I hope you got your issue fixed and everything is running okay now.

      I'm sure your an expert Kenny! Just pay a mechanic $4,000 vs trolling people trying to help others. I was the first to post a video on this issue and it helped 1000s of people!
