  • This video is regarding the repair procedure for a GM Full Size Truck AC Heater Fan Speed switch AND a complete climate control assembly replacement. When your fan speed selector only works on certain speeds, or will not turn off this may be the problem fix for you. Or if you need to replace the entire control assembly because other switches or buttons have become inoperative. Beware that the control head unit plastic fasteners tend to get brittle and yellow with age, so do not be surprised if they break off!
The vehicle shown is a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban K1500 with the 6.5L diesel engine option but the repair is applicable to all old body style (OBS) trucks both Chevy, Cadillac and GMC. Applicable to Suburban, Sierra, Silverado, Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade, Cheyenne, W/T models across 1995 (different part numbers though) 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 and 2002 too for those carry over 3500s and such GMT400 OBS trucks.
