EASY - Nissan Wiper motor & wiper linkage (transmission) Nissan Rogue

- Is your Nissan rogue or other Nissan wiper not working? Have you tested the fuse and its ok? Are you getting 12volts from the fuse slot? The wiper arms are moving freely? If this is a Nissan, there's a big change your wiper linkage or also known as wiper transmission is broken. It is a common problem among nissan.
I am NOT a mechanic. Just trying to share for the love of cars.

Thank you, MTLJack! Your video made it possible for my husband and I to replace the wiper linkage transmission on my 2009 Rogue. We just completed the job and it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Like your new part, our new part arrived with the arms in the wrong position in relation to where the motor needs to be mounted and without you pointing that out I don't know how long it would have taken for us to figure that out. Again, we really appreciate you taking the time to post this repair online. Have a great 2021!!

Used this video to help a 2011 rogue. New linkage from rockauto also had the passenger side arm in the wrong position. I had to separate the ball and socket to be able to swing the arm up to its proper position.
Thanks a lot man the metal arm that spins attached to the motor was snapped off it looked like a wrench 🔧 the fork of the wrench looking thing the metal broke off it was supposed to be a circle ffs gonna take it off and get it welded
ALL WIPER ARMS HAVE A HOLD TAB NEAR BOLT AREA...SIMPLY RAISE ARM OFF GLASS & WITH A SLOT SCREWDRIVER PRY LITTLE TAB OUT...RELEASE ARM...IT SHOULD STAY OFF GLASS...( IF THERE IS NO HOLD TAB...A HOLE IS THERE & AN 8 PENNY NAIL OR POP RIVET WILL FIT INTO HOLE & HOLD WIPER ARM IN UP POSITION...)

@levi stocker just loosen the out and manually move the arm. Not the Link edge but just the arm

What tool did you use to unscrew all those bolts?
Hi, I have just received these same parts, and am having the same problem with the linkage. I am wondering how you were able to flip the linkage around so the bar is above the motor? Did you have to take the linkage apart at all? Any help would be great thanks!
Hey, sorry for the late responce, I kind of forced it back. I realized the linkage were in the wrong directions maybe to make it more compact in the packaging.

Is it possible that the arm that came off that connection spot can just be put back on and run again?
Good question, it is possible to fix it if you have the time and tinkering but i just replaced it. The part that always breaks is a plastic joint so once its broken, it cannot be put back. (i tried). It connects the the wiper arm to the motor for it to move. It moves like a ball joint so you cant just put a bolt through or something. You have to convert it to a replace-able joint.
@@MTLJack thanks for the reply, I took it apart and it turns out the nut that holds the main Arm came off somehow. So I put it back together got everything tightened back up, tested the wipers and they were going backwards. It took me 3 times having everything put back together and taking everything back apart to get the wipers in the right spot lol oh and 2 nights all night. I'm a carpenter not a mechanic but I always try to save a buck when I can. Thanks again for the video and reply

How much did you pay for the part?
Which part ? There's the wiper motor and the wiper transmission which came to around 320$ tax & shipping included (Canadian dollars). The wiper transmission alone was 181$+tx+shipping.
@@MTLJack my 2018 rouge wiper transmission just failed. I was wondering where you ordered yours from?
