Great in-depth video! I broke my Thumb Pro, now I'm trying to decide between another one (75$) or a naked used Gopro 6 (160$)... I wasn't totally satisfied with the image, mostly because lack of detail of the chip, but I also had some problems with color grading. Maybe it's because of the magenta tint of the shadows, but most of my clips looked a bit off.
If you want better flying performance just stick with the runcam thumb pro. The GoPro 6 have some problem with the gyro built-in. If you really want a gopro recommend at least seven or eight.
It's kind of soft. But I think it's still a better choice. Because of the wider field of view. The v1 is really hard to nail the frame. If you really want superb video quality maybe check out the naked GoPro. 😀
WoW! Version2 was a huuuge DOWNGRADE! They were obviously selling too many of them and had to cheap out on the hardware to keep up with the demand. Sure, the FOV is wider, but the quality is waaay below what it was. The first telling sign is the size of the lens which was much bigger in version one. I can't deny I feel conned, the new version has terrible image quality, super noisy and artificially sharpened to try and counteract the lack of detail. Bad move, Runcam.

I was looking for this comment to confirm that my impression of the camera is not wrong. I'm very surprised that the v2 quality is noticeably worse compared to v1. I was thinking about buying the v2, but now I'm happy I didn't.

But actually I love my thumb pro V2. The wide angle is everything for me.

Wider fov sacrifice too much light. With my personal flying style. I think I can deal with it. Everyone's priority is different ❤️❤️
