Thank you for taking your time to put it together the turbo, up pipe EWG and headers before the real installation and know it takes time to put it together so thank you :) It looks so good just like mine just a little diff the awful 84mm inlet that thing should be Illegal they just made it like that so everyone can buy 84mm inlets from them so they can make more money. There is a company out there that replce the FP one and they made it better just cant find the company anymore in less someone that reads this knows. then let me know.

Your car has a different engine block casting and same with the internals. You could push it more for longer than any other EJ.
19-21 they upgraded the engine, one change a year

@@evannarvais type RA engine, they did reinforce it and people have been pushing it more and for longer, just don’t launch it everyday and beat on it constantly, you’re asking for trouble by doing that. you can do those mods in this vid (Front mount intercooler recommended) and you can make 450 and keep torque at a minimum cause that’s what blows these things up mainly and misuse. Anyway that’s that

Bader built makes me want to get back into Subaru. Had an 05 STI back in 2013, Had it tuned by Motion Lab and it went to shits. Sold it immediately.

im about to start modding the car again, i have basically the same setup as this car besides turbo and intercooler. my stock turbo be hitting like 22-23psi sometimes though lol
P&L is my jam I got an 08 sti with a 3 inch turbo back P&L exhaust. Imo best sound without the annoying popping and backfires

We have been on the hunt for a shop / business location for last 6 months. Unfortunately there isn’t much on market right now and everytime we inquired about one they wouldn’t want automotive or it’s a long commitment for a small place ect. Hoping to find something soon.

As a previous Subaru WRX/STi owner, they’re not bad cars but the WRX 5 speeds were notoriously known for failure, & upgrading to the STi 6 speed was a must for anything beyond stage 2.
The EJ series was in production for over 30 years, and in the STi it remained largely the same (besides some changes to heads, exhaust can timing & upping boost over 20 year production run)
EJ series also had some known issues, known for rod knock, spun bearings, tendency to develop oil leaks at higher mileage. Also, the fuel system would require upgrading anything beyond stage 2 on the EJ257.
All in all a very unique engine, sounds great especially with the unequal length headers, & this engine when built, with a built transmission is actually sweet.

Damn! Do you ever come to California? Would have you do my build. Recently tuned for Stage1+ and it's okay and much better than stock...only have 2800 miles on a 2021 STI...wish I could install the things you do. Respect all you videos. So knowledgeable
You would have to drive to him and drop off your car. California has a bunch of good shops such as Snail Performance, Yimi Sport
So I’m guessing you’re just plugging the PCV vacuum ports on the turbo inlet when you install the AOS?

A lot of newer turbo cars have the turbo bolted directly to the head
A properly driven and maintained sti can handle 450whp all day. I would also install an aos at least.

I have the same clutch with solid disk and it has inly held up for 6 months but im running 500hp im trying to find a better clutch now
So I bought the street series AOS for my 2020 sti … should I return it and get the competition series ? The competition one says it’s for high horsepower application tho… what are your thoughts bro?

Hi Josh can you please inform me as to what you can safely push the EJ257 VA STI engine to HP wise? There is so many different opinions about it all, As they arnt a closed deck engine block. Would love to modify my VA STI but so confused on the correct way to go about it all is and what’s safe.. can you give me some advice?

Hey Josh, would this build be your best recommendation for 450 reliable on a 20 RA STI. I don't drive it hard, its my daily, I get on it here and there never into redline. Just wanna have a decent but fun build that is very reliable.

It’s crazy how far away from the engine the turbo is, that’s a lot of piping to just get to the turbo, it has to make it lag

How much power can you make out of a aem 340 fuel pump?
I've noticed one common thing for those builds: why not heat-wrapping exhaust manifold/ up-pipe/ downpipe?
We dont heat wrap any builds. Too much risk on these engines for leaking oil directly down on to a exhaust manifold / uppipe and cause a fire.

I’m about to start my sti project. Fp red, ams stage 2 block. Bc cams/fresh heads. My question is, is the killer b pan and pickup a must? It’d be nice to save the $550 and reuse the stock pan and pickup. Let me know thanks
I wouldn’t reuse stock oil pan and pick up . That’s where it usually breaks on pick up.

450 wheel on a stock block, ooooff. That is a bit of a gamble to me. I had a built motor and I didn't even have 450 wheel. Tune better be perfect. Shows to how dialed your builds are!!

That Top mount inter cooler can hold probably more than 450 but for how long you can keep your gas pedal down is another question. That son of the gun will be hot like it came out from the oven.
I’m sure it could hold more, but exactly what you said how long can you keep her too the floor 😂.
We will find out. It did extremely well today in 90 degree heat.
