Funny that you mention that people was gonna be watching the video 2-3 years from now because I am Hahahaha... just started collecting HW Car Culture early in the year and I love them I have around 35 cars so far and I’m still trying to get my hands of those JAPAN HISTORICS. have watched all your videos really like the way you do it, congrats!
Great video! The Japan historics have been in Canada for a while, but fly off the shelves... I'm still looking for the wagon to complete my set. We just got the euro style as well, and again they are flying off the shelf too. I finally completed my set of Ford performance, they are super nice!
Im come from indonesia, Good luck untuk chanlenya, info yg bermanfaat. Oh iya mampir juga di channel yah tidak sekeren punya agan, cuman review hotwheels, vainglory, ulas barang dan lainnya..
Why is that the Hakosuka on some version has a roll cage and not on others? And the Datsun 510 wagon has mesh grill/smooth grill versions? Is it some sale gimmick or PR stunt from Mattel to improve sales numbers or is it some factory worker thinking it could be fun to make different models? Also why is the quality inspection not always as good as it should be. E.g. I've seen Datsun 510 wagons with imperfections in paint job with dust grains or hair in paint and window not properly attached to the body. And is it just me but it seems like black paint has more imperfections rather than other colors on die cast cars?
+Joakim Hjelm-Svennesen I cannot answer all your questions, but as far as the variances in the models, they have two interiors for the Skyline and probably had both available. There are most likely multiple molds of the 510 they use and that creates the variances.
I pre-ordered a case form A&J Toys as well. No blue sticker seal on my box, but I received 2 of each. Both 510 wagons had mesh grills, and skyline 2000 GT-R came with 1 roll cage, 1 without. Great communication from Ken @ A&J. I recommend buying future releases from them. Thanks for shooting vids, hopefully a K case un-boxing soon....
I really wish they'd have done 8 cars in this series so we could have also gotten a Toyota Celica (hopefully the '70 which is a fantastic casting I'd love to get in all-metal) and a Civic (1990 Honda Civic EF, maybe... if not a new casting of the first-gen Civic) and either a Subaru (though I know the BRAT is coming in the Trucks wave) or a Mitsubishi to round things off. Maybe Mattel will do a second wave of Japan Historics at some point.
I agree since other versions on the Kenmeri and the Datsun 510 wagon has painted headlights and grill and taillight son the Boulevard Series. Also the quality inspection isn't always as good as it should be. Some(black) Datsun wagons has dust or hair in paint job or other imperfections and the windows aren't put properly together - you can see it on some cars where the back door window isn't put properly together with the back door/body. And on some cars base isn't riveted properly back to the body.
big ups to A&J toys. We are all lucky to have you out there helping us get these models at a reasonable cost. I was a first time customer with a preorder for this series and plan to buy any cases I need from you in the future. thanks @thelamleygroup for doing this video. we all know A&J never messed with any cases... thanks for taking the time to point this out.
I was at a small local die cast meet up this past weekend (I live in the SouthEast US) and saw a lot of people selling these. Between 8-20 bucks each, the wagon always at least 20. As much as I wanted to wait for all of them to hit shelves, I HAD to buy the Mazda, its so beautiful.
+Carter Barrett They were available at A&J Toys at the link above. They have sold out, but you can email them to see when they might get more. They will be available in stores in the US soon as well.
To date, this is the most expensive and most desirable set from the Hot Wheels Car Culture series.
What i see on your box...

Awesome set. I'm glad I was able to get a set for myself. I can see Mattel producing more sets like this one in the future.👍😊✌️

My case was 'perfect', in other words, 2 of each car. I also got one of each variation of the 510 Wagon, but 2 of the no cage Hako.
