At 0:06 it is a USB A plug (male); at 1:51, on the left, it is a USB mini-B plug (male). Four (4) wires implies USB 2.0 speed as USB 3.0 speed requires nine (9) wires. Although there is a relationship between speed and the shape of the jack/plug pairs they are not the same thing. The use of USB mini-B plugs and jacks (female) is waning; the reason I am here is that I am making cables for older GoPro camera models. Apparently the trick is to pre-tin the wire and jack lead separately. Then set the solder strand aside. Use one hand to position the wire onto the lead and the other to touch the hot iron tip to both. So you ARE NOT HOLDING the solder strand at all when the joint is made because you don't have 3 hands.
