    I would love a comparison video between the Luba and yuka. Thank you for the review.

    Zero turn on the LUBA mowers will miss grass at the ends, I find the multipoint turn much better, only on the steepest of slopes (25 degrees plus) will it start to miss) not that YUKA will be used in that type of scenario so I hope it won’t miss at all

      @jamie.andrews  Місяць тому

      Yea I am not a fan of zero point turns on the Luba as it is hard on the turf. Not real sure why anyone would use them to be honest. On the Yuke zero point turns make sense though.

    Leaving it outside 24/7 with all the rain and heat from the sun how long will the robot and the bas will last, any metal will going to rust sooner or later no matter which coating it has.

      The Luba is a few years old and lasting well. Many people purchase a garage for their mower and you can also park it on a porch or in a garage to protect it.

    Thanks for the video!
    So it looks like the mower is meant to be left outside 24/7? I thought I could keep the charging base in my garage, then just open the garage door when I want Yuka to go outside and mow.

    • @jamie.andrews
      @jamie.andrews  Місяць тому +1

      You cod certainly do that. You will need to create a path from the closest mowing zone into your garage, but it will work.

    I don't know much about the RTK station. Does it need line of sight with the robot? If the RTK station is in the back of the house, can the robot still navigate the front of the house OK?

    • @jamie.andrews
      @jamie.andrews  2 місяці тому +5

      It needs a clear view of the sky, but not line of sight to the robot. It communicates with the robot with radio signal up to 3 miles.

    Yuka crashed into a car and scratched it. Then it left the working area and headed right into the next obstacle. The navigation and the avoidance safety tech with the camera does not work good enough as for now. The sweeper is not recognized for navigation either, so it crashes into obstacles left and right.

      Sadly I updated, the app improved, but since the kickstarter firmware for Yuka every update just degraded Yuka.

    Is the limit of mowing area for the total space or per area?

      Total space and total zones. They allow a little buffer for the area though. It is limited in the app.

    There exists a curb between my lawn and the street. Somebodies say their auto mower falls from curb to the street. Does Mammotion Yuka have this problem? or do you think the AWD Luba 2 can avoid such a problem?

    • @jamie.andrews
      @jamie.andrews  2 місяці тому

      The only thing stopping any of the robots from falling off a curb is making sure you give it some extra room for error when mapping next to the curb. Keep it well away and you should be good. I do this around my driveway, fence line, and the side of the house. Just means I have a little more trimming to do.
