    Hi folks! Thank you for all these informations. About the requirements to start a DDS program, I've checked that all universities offer these courses ONLY for citiziens and PRs. They are not opened for foreign people. Can you clarify this point please?

      Hi, Dr. Filho!
      Usually, universities will allow international students to study with them on a student visa. It is best to reach out to the university you are interested in for clarification on their requirements and what options are available for you.

    Hi, im a fresh BDS graduate from India,i just wanted to know that what path is better to be a licensed dentist in canada
    1) The NDEB equivalency process or
    2) The IDDCP (Degree completion programme)
    which pathway is better to get jobs in the feild?

    • @PrepDoctors
      @PrepDoctors  3 роки тому

      Hi, Dr. Gujar!
      There are different factors to take into consideration while making that decision:
      1. The time involved in going to a university vs taking the equivalency route.
      2. The difference of costs in both the process.
      3. There are very few universities in Canada offering the IDAP program, so the odds of getting a spot in the university. 4. Prior work experience as a dentist
      5. Immediate career goals post equivalency.
      In terms of difficulty to get into a university, the answer is yes, the spots in these universities are highly competitive and require you to be a strong applicant. Having said that, however, a lot of our Prep Doctors candidates chose the university route every year. We have designed courses for university bench tests and have a very high acceptance rate for the doctors that go through our training courses. You can read more about the difference from our blog at prepdoctors.ca/ndeb-process-vs-bridging-programs/.

    Hello,
    Thank you soo mch for sharing Your video as it is very useful to me..
    M a dentist from india and I almost hv 5 and a half year work experienced here.
    Now, I want to move on to canada and practise there.I got all ur points here..but, still i have few questions regarding PR procedure/Visas. I'd like if you gonna help me answers that.
    1)What should i do first?should i apply for NDEB first & then go for the visa process after the approval come? Or how to proceed?
    2) If I am not joining prepdoctors institution amd still want to give the NDEB, what are the visa options for me to come and give these exams there? What are the procedure apart from joining your institution?
    3) Do you guys have any online study course to prepare for this NDEB examination?
    4) Can i appear for this NDEB exam in my home country like written examination and then come to canada for practical exams there? Is this possible?
    There are lots of questions...I hopefully awaiting for the answers for all these questions.
    Thank you soo much again😊👍🏻

    • @PrepDoctors

      1) The first step is always to apply for the NDEB and get your approval to begin the equivalency process. It can take anywhere between 2 to 4 months and the sooner you get your approval -the better. As the consultant mentioned - a lot of people start with the PR process first so if you want to go that route - than you can approach your equivalency accordingly. In case you're planning to appear for the exams on a visitor visa than it is better to first get your NDEB approval and then do through your visa process.
      2) You can take the NDEB exams on any visa status - doesnt matter if youre on your visitor visa or have your PR. This applies whether you enroll for our courses or not.
      3) We do not offer any online courses. Our courses are only available at our locations in Toronto, Vancouver, Montral and Calgary
      4) No it's not possible. Please check the NDEB website for information on the list of countries you can take the exams in.

    My partner is here on student visa. She’s qualified dentist in Mexico. She cannot apply for PR here because she is not working. How can she apply to work as a dentist?

    • @PrepDoctors
      @PrepDoctors  3 роки тому

      Hi there!
      Your wife definitely doesn't need to apply for her PR just yet. She would need to go through the Canadian equivalency process first to become an accredited dentist in Canada. To begin the process, she will have to apply to be accepted into the Canadian Dentistry Equivalency Process through the NDEB. As long as she has a recognized dental degree, she should be accepted. The first exam is AFK (Assessment of Fundamental Knowledge). After she passes this exam, she has two options: continue the equivalency process and take ACJ (Assessment of Clinical Judgment) and ACS (Assessment of Clinical Skills) or she can apply to a Canadian University and do a two-year bridging program.
      At the end of both routes (Equivalency or University), she will need to take the board exams to get her licence and start practicing. At Prep Doctors, we have courses and support at every stage of the process. See our website for more details about our courses: www.prepdoctors.ca. What many of our trainees do is apply for a Visitor's Visa to take our courses and take the exam as our course is generally 5 months. During this time, you can begin the process of applying for PR if she so desires.
      For registration and specific details about the exams, visit the NDEB website: ndeb-bned.ca/en/requirements.

      Thank you for your support, Dr. Kaur!
      Dentistry is a regulated profession. Therefore, you cannot apply through PNP as a dentists in Canada. You would need to go through the equivalency process with the NDEB as only they can certify international dentists to practice in Canada. We also recommend that you contact an immigration consultant for better clarity on this.

    HI I AM PROSTHODONTIST CURRENTLY PRACTISING IN nepal. Is it easy for me to do DDS in USA after getting Canadian PR through express entry ?

    • @PrepDoctors
      @PrepDoctors  3 роки тому

      Hi, Dr. Shrestha!
      No, a Canadian PR would not make it easier to go through the American process. You would need to complete the INBDE equivalency process to do a DDS in the USA depending on the university requirements for the degree. You would also possibly need to complete a bridging program at a US university, and also go through the American immigration process whilst in Nepal. Because it is a different country, it would be an entirely different process.

    I am an Endodontist from Tunisia, what are my chances to work in Canada?

    • @PrepDoctors
      @PrepDoctors  5 років тому

      You can most definitely work as a general dentist or an endodontist in Canada based on your preferences. If you want to work as a general dentist - you can go through the Dental Equivalency process. If you want to work as an Endodontist - you need to clear the DSCKE process. For more information, you can check out the NDEB website and the Prep Doctors website.

      To begin you have to apply to be accepted into the Canadian Dentistry Equivalency Process. As long as you have a recognized dental degree you should be accepted. The first exam is AFK (Assessment of Fundamental Knowledge). After you pass this exam you have two options: continue the equivalency process and take ACJ (Assessment of Clinical Judgment) and ACS (Assessment of Clinical Skills) or you can apply to a Canadian University and do a two-year bridging program.
      At the end of both routes (Equivalency or University), you will need to take the board exams to get your licence and start practicing. At Prep Doctors we have courses and support at every stage of the process. See our website for more details about our courses: www.prepdoctors.ca
      For registration and specific details about the exams, visit the NDEB website. ndeb-bned.ca/en/requirements

    THANKS for the informative video, it enlightened many topics. I decided to start the Board exams next year 2021, putting in mind that i am over 40 years old, so my way to get the PR after finishing the exams seems dependant on having Job offer followed by province nomination,
    do you assist successful candidates in having Job offers??
    or is there any firm or organization which help me later after cleaning the Board exams to get Job offer ?
    I was told that realistically it's impossible for a foreign dentist passed equivalent process to get a Job offer even with minimum wage is it true?
    My second wonder if you are planning for future online courses due to the current situation?
    Thanks in advance for your reply

      Hi, Dr. Safwat!
      We do assist successful candidates with recruiting services. You can reach out to us at feedback@prepdoctors.ca, and we will be happy to help. Foreign-trained dentists actually have a very high success rate when it comes to finding jobs in the market. It is a common misconception that this is not the case, but that is absolutely not true. Many of our trainees have gone on to work at dental clinics and own their practices. As for online courses, due to the current public health crisis, we are continuing to look into to better assist our dentists. Stay tuned for updates by following us on our socials for what options will be available.

      Hi, Dr. Mahajan!
      For up-to-date and relevant information on PR requirements, visit the Government of Canada website at www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship.html.
      What many of our trainees do is apply for a Visitor's Visa to take our courses and take the exam as our course is generally five months. During this time, you can begin the process of applying for PR if you so desire.

      @@drdeepaksharma20 The license process is mandatory if you wish to practice as a dentist in Canada. For any other positions in the clinic or practice, you are not required to have a license.
